Nightmare (Short Story) - 1/18/2011 7:00:58 AM
This gripped me and held me until, in the end I let out the breath I didn't know I'd been holding onto. The depth of empathy and insight here is surely from a deep connection with Light/Love.

wow... if we could only use the other 90% of our brain, what might we see... what might we know...?
Return of a Stranger (Short Story) - 10/31/2009 6:28:03 AM
For some reason it reminds me of my brother, he lived in Boston. When he died in 2007 my Mom and I were there. When people in his building and a local store found out he died they said such wonderful things about him and some didn't even know his name. Now I will be able to think of him, that people cared when he no longer walked by. Thank you John
Nightmare (Short Story) - 10/31/2009 6:21:58 AM
John, that was amazing. When I first started to read, I thought oh no, not another attack. You made it into something amazing. I have always had a hard time with religion and as I get older I've learned that I am comfortable with my beliefs, not necessarily someone else interpretation of God's way. I really enjoyed it.

Nightmare (Short Story) - 7/15/2006 5:25:27 PM
Great message- I haven't ever seen a Christian arguement that is prochoice. Last time I checked, abortion was NOT addressed in the bible specifically, and like so many issues is all about interpretation. It was refreshing to see a different interpretation.

Ah yes John , God as they concieve Him to be but not my God .Forgive them Lord for they know not what they do.Great message to all. Luke
Nightmare (Short Story) - 3/14/2005 4:46:20 AM
John, 'Judge not, lest ye be judged' I do my best to live by those words. This world would be a much better place if all would try it. Only God and myself, has to be aware of what I hold within..and even then my own opinions are not His.
A very powerful message you've penned here John. Thank you for sharing it.

Just plain good.
Nightmare (Short Story) - 10/12/2003 8:01:49 AM
John: Obviously you being in the healthcare profession has given you great compassion. This has been a wonderful thing for me to read on a Sunday morning when I probably should be at church. This has given me some new insights into abortion; this is what true Christianity is all about.
Return of a Stranger (Short Story) - 8/7/2003 2:21:28 PM
This is a good story and it has reminded me of a something similar with a 'man-of-the-road' that took place with my husband and I some years back, I think I am going to have to write it up! Jackie <> <
Nightmare (Short Story) - 8/7/2003 2:16:01 PM
A question we should all ask ourselves, "What would Jesus do in this situation" Certainly something to make all of us think twiceabout making judgements. Jackie <> <

John,
Wow...a very difficult subject you tackled here and a very good job you have done with it. You've brought about a different view point and taken the opinions and objects of the two sides into a new light.
What an excellent write....bravo!!!

Don’t Tell Me You’re Not Here. (Poetry) - 5/20/2011 1:35:19 PM
You are so right, John...Gazebos can hold dear, the magical places for a poet's heart! So fitting that love is there, and all around ....for us to write about.

Nobody Dares (Poetry) - 5/20/2011 9:53:38 AM
It sounds like you had a difficult childhood, John. My inner child's heart reaches out to yours with a hug. It always amazes me -- volumes are spoken in a poem, and though the lines are few, the pain is faced, embraced, and there is a cleansing that comes from feeling the words as we are writing them. Well done, John, well done.
Hugs to you,
CJ
Sweet On You. (Poetry) - 5/20/2011 9:36:58 AM

Sweet On You. (Poetry) - 5/14/2011 6:58:13 AM
You have a lot of friends here who will miss you. I can imagine you are busy, though, and wish you health and happiness always.
Candlelight is something I don't get to see very often. I can't have any matches around because of my son. I had a four alarm fire in my yard the other day. I have to say, though, the tykes that did it sure did a good job getting rid of the weeds. And the fire did a great job of weeding out which neighbors are truly going to be friends. Anyway, you were a fireman so I thought you might like to know.
Blessings,
Christine

Her & Me (Poetry) - 4/22/2011 2:47:22 PM
All too often we hurt the one we should appreciate more than any other. It is unexcusable but all we can do is beg forgiveness, and learn from our mistakes and hope the one we hurt loves us enough to accept our apologies.

I feel it John, my mother was a perfectionist too. I couldn't eat eggs when I was a child they made me sick. She would cook them for breakfast and if I didn't eat them I would still be sitting there that evening when my Daddy came home, then to bed with no supper. This poem goes deep into your memories and wounds. I'm so sorry for your pain.

Sleeping Through The Sunrise. (Poetry) - 4/8/2011 4:55:23 AM
"Each day an opportunity to join or miss your chance" speaks the truth. We are here and then gone in the blink of an eye, and we can only just do our best to follow that voice within the beat. To love and forgive, to be there for our sunrises and loved ones.
Blessings

Comfort (Poetry) - 4/3/2011 9:36:37 AM
John, I found my father deceased a few years ago. His loss affects me every day of my life. About a month ago I was driving singing a Doobie Brother song and felt the warm sun going right through me! I can't explain it but the grief got better that day. When we release the tears and grieve we heal our heart. We have to love ourself and take comfort knowing we will get through anything! Take care, ~Chessly

Well look at you, John, you've turned in a stellar performance in my humble opinion. THIS is very well constructed, edge of the seat kind of tale, with one hell of a twist at the end. Gotta love it! And I do.

Cares Away (Poetry) - 3/21/2011 11:56:52 AM
Beautiful softness to this poem, how you tune in to her rhythm so naturally, the way you relax tightness and help her let go of defenses. None of your poems are ever rushed which is kind of amazing to read about in this rushing world. Therefore, as with all your poetry, this is dreamy and has great heart.

Going Home (Poetry) - 3/19/2011 7:32:42 AM
So deeply moving, John, one that appeals to the physical and spiritual; so please forgive me, for when I read this write, my emotions connected with a love so deep that it could only be for Jesus. Because of love so deep, He gave His life for all. Yes, this write deserves a shift to a higher level. Hope you don't mind my presumption.

Passage (Poetry) - 3/16/2011 9:27:52 AM
Beautifully stated and heartily felt by this reader. Poets write their lines with phrases full of love felt and loving back. When love has to be apart the words do not stop, but merely intensify.
Smile (Poetry) - 3/16/2011 7:48:24 AM
I read this one on two levels, John. The first as if it's about your significant other who has gone away; the second as if directed to Jesus as the lover of your soul. Either way, it's a beautiful write...deep and meaningful on both levels. Thank you!
Hugs,
Lena :)
