Friends, true friends can never be lost. That is a real consolation. Lovers and even loves can be lost, but true friends, never!

Emerging Voices ... the beginning (Poetry) - 1/26/2011 6:28:46 PM
Lovely, meaningful and most encouraging; thank you for sharing this gift, Laurel. There is a typo in this sentence: "It was then that she understand (understood)." I make typos all the time and appreciate it when people point them out so I can correct them. Love, continued inspiration, and best wishes to you,
Regis

When Friends Reach Out! (Poetry) - 1/24/2011 6:48:43 PM
It would be a better world if everyone could have that kind of friendship, but it takes a great connection and good communication to arrive at a level of trust and empathy that will benefit by good intentions all those that you can touch.

There is a song by Trace Adkins called, "You're Gonna Miss This," and this reminds me of that. My brother heard that and said that's a great song, that's really true, then died a year and a half later, so now it has even more meaning for me. Nice work.

Can We Will We (Poetry) - 1/14/2011 5:14:28 PM
Wonderful poem Laurel. The reader can tell it came from your heart as all good romantic poetry should. I'm sorry for the loss of your husband but glad you've found another to share life with. It's been eight years for me and I still haven't found anyone who could replace my husband, I don't want to attempt the impossible.
Can We Will We (Poetry) - 1/14/2011 9:10:14 AM

Transitions (Poetry) - 1/12/2011 5:52:41 PM
WOW! This pulled me right in and left me crying sad tears for the loss, much like my own, and happy tears for the memory of being held in the arms of my love's spirit after he had gone. "Your going to be OK," he whispered as tears rushed down my cheeks.
