Sad. Will be hard to support a child without an education to get a good job. You are a good friend.

Stephannie, I empathize with both you and your friend. What little wisdom I have in this area is expressed in my poems, The Half-Folk, and Poverty's Path.
All the best to you and your friend.

Best Friend (Poetry) - 5/4/2003 7:32:01 PM
I never realised how important a best friend is, until mine was told he had not long to live. I now regret every missed opportunity to share time, to share thoughts, and to express my gratitude.
Tell your friend how you feel, Stephannie.
Regret takes energy from life.

Steph., Nice writting. Just remember they could never fill your shoes. They have to grow up first. Some have to have someone or something to take their insecurities out on. It shall pass. Meanwhile stay strong.

Fill Me In (Poetry) - 3/31/2003 5:14:34 AM
Stephani, lovely poem and welcome. Pure commitment is an ultimate step and you have to make sure that you are both ready for it. If only you are then survival could be doubtful. Sometimes we have to give it time.

Stephani,
Welcome to the den.
I love this poem, I always like the ones that have the self questioning questions. I am looking forward to many more poems .
