A man's home is his castle (Short Story) - 8/31/2009 2:24:57 PM
It's very descriptive, and paints a good picture of a utopia for a day, but there is not really any conflict. I guess it depends on what you're trying to achieve. Either way, it is a good escape from coming home from a full-time job that has ceased to be really rewarding only to have to keep myself alert enough so that I can still write and someday pull myself out of the lonely hole I've dug out for myself.

Faith holds a promise- part six (Short Story) - 6/18/2009 9:00:49 PM

Chronicles of the Dark Prince (Part one (Short Story) - 9/5/2008 11:04:32 PM
I'm a big fan of vampire tales. This story reminds me of the beginning of Anne Rice's famed novel ("Interview with the Vampire"), when Lestat grabs his prey. Great descriptions and an intriguing start to a series. Sheila

Chronicles of the Dark Prince Part Four (Short Story) - 5/8/2006 4:43:33 PM
Still keeping us at the edge of our seats in a rush to know what will happen next and the mixture of erotica, him entering her and biting her at the same time is a new twist in explicity that I kinda liked. Keep at it Denise, think you are on to somthing here. Felix

TideWater! (part five) (Short Story) - 5/3/2006 2:59:47 AM
Now you are really getting into the story not just the sex but the real feelings of the two main characters are taking on a life of their own. The use of more and shorter paragraphs is also making the reading easier on the eyes and allowing the reader to absorb and retain more of the story. Well done and keep it coming. Felix

Chronicles of the Dark Prince part 2 (Short Story) - 4/23/2006 3:24:31 AM
Hi Denise, this has the makings of a great book, very interesting with a good hook. However I would make one suggestion, remove the bold, increase the font and break down into more paragraphs. It will be easier for you to edit, easier for us to read and will just improve the appearance greatly. Other then that it is great/ Felix

Chronicles of the Dark Prince (Part one (Short Story) - 4/22/2006 11:28:56 PM
Chilling write, Denise. But well versed. I love the "Welcme to my world!" As I read I could hear the narrator deep booming voice. Well written. God bless, Sandie.

Childhood sexual abuse: From the soul of a survivor (Article) - 10/9/2008 7:13:46 PM
Denise, I know this is painful, as we have discussed before when I posted the three child abuse stories... I did not do an "article" as I am trying to get enough true stories together for the book I'm working on right now... This subject remains taboo in many areas, actually...everywhere...and we just have to do everything we can to get this word out... and to instill some self esteem into those who have been harmed...and as you said... the harm is inside and out...and does last a lifetime...even under the best of circumstances... Good for you... and let's keep raising hell... lindalaw

Childhood sexual abuse: From the soul of a survivor (Article) - 10/9/2008 3:17:23 PM
Denise, I couldn't agree more: The message to our young is, "Its' Not Your Fault." We have a campaign in Australia at the moment to hopefully get the message across to our young. Huge posters are being displayed where children frequent; supermarkets, video stores, schools etc. The image is of a young boy weeping and the caption reads: "Its' Not Your Fault." thank you Denise for dealing with this most important topic, your writing may not win the war today, however, you will most definetly strenghten the battle and keep it in the spotlight where these deviants will not be able to prey on our most precious possesion, our young. Thank you again - You are helping. Happiness always, Stuart

Childhood sexual abuse: From the soul of a survivor (Article) - 10/9/2008 12:45:01 PM
You are so right Dee, the more survivors speak out the more awareness those who don't always understand begin to and with knowledge comes a way to help these children... Fee

Childhood sexual abuse: From the soul of a survivor (Article) - 10/9/2008 12:24:07 PM
As a survivor myself, I whole-heartedly agree with everything you said here. You even described my mother (a survivor herself) with amazing accuracy. Thank you for speaking out. Rebecca

Bad Impressions- Child sexual abuse (Article) - 9/29/2008 5:41:54 PM
I am in awe. To tackle and address such a real issue and aspect of this terrible tragedy is difficult to say the least, but you put us right inside that little girls heart and mind. Fee

Darkness (Article) - 9/25/2008 6:11:25 AM
This is a beautiful article....and inspiring as well. So happy this is not about you now... (not sure if it is about you)...but either way... it is very human and you wrote it quite believable... If this is about you, my prayer is that you continue to go forward ...in the light... :-)) lindalaw

Writing is a healing ointment (Article) - 9/7/2008 5:17:45 PM
Oh Denise, How evil and cruel some people are, to deeply hurt and scar a young child chills me to the bone. We all have our reasons for writing, and you are showing an inner depth and courage which nobody can ever take away from you. Keep writing and healing Denise, you are a gifted soul. The serenade of seduction (Poetry) - 9/17/2009 10:42:13 PM
Very sensual and romantic. Like Amber I love the ending because it is so endearing to the heart and soul. Aching to read, consent from warm virgin eyes To kiss the sweet, sweet lips not kissed till then To feel her tenderness, in lovelorn sighs And share love’s pleasures in purity, not sin“. These are words of true romance. It kind just tugs at the heartstrings to be this beautiful lady. Thank you for sharing. May the Lord Jesus bless you, and those whom you love, and who love you, and be with you always, and at your side constantly. With much love in my heart, joy to the world, peace on earth, & ((((((((((MANY WONDERFUL SISTERLY HUGGGGSSSS)))))))))), your little sister, Barbie.
