The Van Winkle Bride (Book) - 3/30/2007 6:20:05 AM
As young "wanna be" authors, Charlene Tess and I would sit and discuss this theme that she has managed to put together in a great page turner.
I loved it and recommend it to anyone wanting a great book to keep them on the edge of their seats. Can't wait for her to finish her new one.
From her special friend that never had what it took to do what she has done!

Simple Steps to Sentence Sense (Book) - 7/3/2006 4:25:04 PM
I've used this book for two years and it is amazing to see how well the students learn and enjoy it. My students always tell me how they will never forget how to locate prepositions or direct objects! Each year the students have gotten further in the steps, and they find it less difficult to learn. Out of the two years that I've used this book, I have not had one student to complain when it was time to work on grammar. It actually gives them more confidence and builds their grammar skills.
As we work on the step daily, I put 3 sentences on the board for the students to correct. They work on the current step, but yet continue practicing the previous steps, just like the book tells you to do. The students run to the board everyday to be the first one to correct a sentence! They love it! Everyone should use this book to teach grammar!
Accidental Angel (Book) - 4/1/2003 12:35:22 AM
I have been waiting months to read this book that my mom has been talking about. Well I finally got it in my hands..10 more pages to go...and so far I love it. =) I think this book appeals to a wide age range of readers--I am 22, my mom is 48. I guess I shouldn't be putting my mom's age out on the internet--haha. Judi- I have really enjoyed reading Accidental Angel. Hurry up and write something else. Charlene- although we have never met, I'm sure you are a great person. I will have to read your individual novel now. Thanks ladies--keep up the good work.
Fourteen Pieces of Gold (Book) - 2/26/2002 7:19:42 AM
Arresting, from the word 'go' and keeps in suspense to the last word. Should be very interesting reading.
