though i'm not normally one for the sappy-dappy i'd have to say i loved this poem. the imiages it brought to bare were of fresh love, when things are still quite perfect in the eyes of the young. i'm sure if the rest of the book is this good it will do great. check out excerpt from my up coming books Reflections of a Dark soul, and sifting through the sands; coming soon.

A Thief In The Night (Poetry) - 8/4/2009 10:29:27 AM
Your imagery of "a warm liquid calling card bathing the victim in cold comfort" is spot on, whether it be from this terrible child abuse described, or the products of self-hurt. I've neither done nor experienced either, but I can take on a character's role through your poetry.
They are achieved, terrible lines of poetry that everyone should hear.

- - - You are a writer by heart, and by choice. Your acute attention to subtle and obvious detail is beautiful.

Just A Kiss (Poetry) - 1/28/2008 3:08:19 AM
The simplicity of this lovely piece of writing is its greatest strength. I enjoyed the author's dedication to the topic and inventiveness in expressing it to the reader. The flow is open and free, tumbling from beginning to end. The imagery is nearly palpable. I felt as though I were there. Great writing!
