The Raven and the Rainbow (Short Story) - 6/29/2005 1:20:08 PM
Oh my lord, I'm in tears. That was so sad, heart-breaking, to read. And it brings back 3 year old memories of watching my father die. He was home with hospice care and the nurse told us it would be that weekend...well...a whole week later is when Dad left us. Everyone said their goodbyes but I think he was holding out for his oldest sister, Karen, who was coming from Ohio. Thankfully she got to say her goodbyes as well, and days later, he was gone. Losing a parent is so incredibly heartwrenching...like losing a part of yourself. I'm very sorry for your loss! The poem you wrote for your Mother is beautiful, as well. She was lucky to have a caring daughter like you. Thanks for sharing, April

PC and Her Prince (Short Story) - 6/24/2005 4:28:49 PM
Linda, I particularly enjoyed this story because I foster kittens. We had a feral cat in our yard for years. It wasn't until his senior years that he decided to *endure* a pet or two. So it does happen, eventually! Cynthia

One of the things I love about the den is rambling about and discovering treasures...this work of yours is one. You have packed quite an emotional punch in those two quatrains. Very well done.

A Catly Christmas (Poetry) - 12/18/2004 9:08:17 AM
The Egyptians didn't honor them for no reason. Cats are cool. Nice pen. I could easily visualize the moments

A Catly Christmas (Poetry) - 12/18/2004 4:38:25 AM
Yes, I have one of these psycho kitties too..I didn't bother with a tree, cause I knew I'd have to keep picking it up from the floor. The presents are all tucked away in the closet away from his wrath. This made me smile, for now I know I'm not alone! Merry Catly Christmas! Lisa

Your cats sound as 'Christmas Happy' as mine do. I finally gave up on the 8-foot tree; now we have a tiny one they can't sleep in - or knock over!
