The Past (Poetry) - 5/13/2013 6:42:48 PM
Liana, 'The Past', segments of our lives in suspension, irretrievably lost in time. Yet vividly alive within the scars of our hearts, the laments of our whirling memories. We are unable to exhume the passion even though it smolders within our paling thoughts. This, is superb poetry and the emotions are masterfully homologated into a serenade for the sanctity human life. May love and peace be always with you my dear friend. Jon Michael

The Past (Poetry) - 5/12/2013 7:40:09 AM
"The Past" recounts with sorrow the trappings of life with a ton of emotions, reminding me to focus less on what was and more on what is. Fortunately, time forgives the sting of abuse and hurt even as it favors our present with memories of past delights. As always, Dear Liana, you share with us the prized value of your unique perspective. Thank you.

The Past (Poetry) - 5/12/2013 5:31:12 AM
Oh boy. This screams at the reader with unloved lips and a dead voice. So much wistfulness. So much hidden, secret desire suddenly thrown into the world, saying, "Look at me! Look what could have been! Look at me now, beaten and broken.

Crying Rose (Poetry) - 5/11/2013 3:49:58 PM
One of my favorite stanzas is this one which tells so much "Cry my rose, the Sun is worth it Even when it fails to warm you, In the midst of Autumn’s ache. But forget what Sun did promise When it showered you with passion. Failed to mention, time will come, It will turn away as if it never Caressed you" -just beautiful Liana

Crying Rose (Poetry) - 12/13/2012 5:21:29 PM
I can recognize your sense of tragic fate, your bittersweet melancholy that surrounds the inevitable loss, Liana. And sometimes your poetry (to me) is like a question, a haunting one, that has no answer... life that is a form of resistance against loss and the fear of being forgotten. Axilea

Liana, love is the greatest joy. But a heart stolen under the pretext of love is the greatest sadness a heart can endure. Nothing is capable of washing the pain away. Your words are haunting and poignant as you capture that fact that time will not erase the pain. in your masterful verse. I wish you love and peace my dear friend. Jon Michael

Reading your beautiful words left me with a haunting sadness...my favorite verse: The silence never heard you speak Your lips were sealed. My fate was bleak. And you forever was replaced By solitude’s atrocious face. Carole~

It was so many days ago... (Poetry) - 11/12/2012 6:55:29 AM
a powerfully unrequited emotion imbues this poignant insight, dear Liana. Life gives us so many lessons that stretch out the substance of our hearts. This work embodies the challenges of the here and now with a spirit of the classics in structure, rhyme, and gist. Beautifully done... "A mighty pain to love it is, And 'tis a pain that pain to miss; But of all pains, the greatest pain It is to love, but love in vain." Abraham Cowley... Peace and continued inspiration ... richard

Hurtful poem, Liana, as so many loves are cast into the winds and given freedom when freedom wasn't what was needed. A passionate piece of writing that told of the joy and the dark that displaced that joy. I agree with D Johnson, that verse IS the poem.

WAIT, LOVE (Poetry) - 10/9/2012 6:22:07 PM
There is depth of understanding to the mysteries of love and passion in your lines Liana. I have been awash in the crush of reality with your line, "I have abandoned you to pain and solitude's eternal reign, your lonely heart will never heal, from cuts and bruised it will squeal" - The tragedy of rejection severs the soul deeply, and then we meet reality face to face and must conquer the emotions alone - what a magnificent poem of loves complications and potential pitfalls - I wish you love, joy and peace my dear friend - Jon Michael

Broken Heart (Poetry) - 10/7/2012 3:31:05 AM
When the subject is romance, You, milady Poet release Your Quill to fly through creative skies, and it does with harmonious speed. Every time I read a romantic theme by You, I remember the great Master Mikhail Bulgakov. It seems that Your internal voice has the same communicating powers of his — as expressed in his romantic lines. This is exquisitely composed and the implicancies of love shows from a heart that knows how to pump virtues... "Broken Heart" I have read, and a magnificent poem I have enjoyed. In respect and admiration, Andre Emmanuel Bendavi ben-YEHU

The Poet of Sad Words (Poetry) - 10/7/2012 3:01:08 AM
Much gratitude to You, milady Poet Liana Margiva, for sharing this golden Scroll in tribute to Poet Georg Edvard Mateos. This is a poetic jewel that enriches the treasure of Poetry... "The Poet of Sad Words" honors the tributee sublimely, and shows the world how the Quill of a true Poet flies in memory of One that never failed to embrace the eaglets of Mother Eagle. In reverent gratitude and admiration, Andre Emmanuel Bendavi ben-YEHU

To Georg Mateos (Poetry) - 10/7/2012 2:31:54 AM
A tribute to one that sowed seeds of reality that produced fruts of love; a Poet that stimulated and inspired all that met him to understand the greatness of the Human Race; a Poet whose Quil soared in altitude high to paint words of creativity... "To Georg Mateos" this poem sings to enchant my soul, and to oriflamme the immortality of a Poet that wrote syllables of love. Much gratitude to You, milady Poet, for sharing this huge gold nugget from the mine of Your heart. In respect and admiration, Andre Emmanuel Bendavi ben-YEHU

WAIT, LOVE (Poetry) - 10/7/2012 2:05:50 AM
Emotions and scars of suffering mix with feelings of true love of a heart that beats on the cadence of grace met with aesthetical lexis to paint "WAIT, LOVE" with hues of beauty; and an exquisite poem is delivered. Thank You for sharing this wonderful poem... Yes, uniquely wonderful, despite the sad story of the main subject dealt. In respect and admiration, Andre Emmanuel Bendavi ben-YEHU

WAIT, LOVE (Poetry) - 10/3/2012 4:10:12 AM
This is a powerful "love's-lost" poem. Each stanza spells out the heartache of one left to her own amusement. Love. What a wonderful thing, but for the most part it never seems to last in this hurly-burly world we live in.

Broken Heart (Poetry) - 10/2/2012 4:46:28 PM
Gorgeous, languid and beautiful poetry Liana! Blessings, xo Christine

Broken Heart (Poetry) - 9/30/2012 1:47:02 PM
My dear Liana, From the busy streets of Moscow to the sun-baked shores of San Diego, the cry of your "Broken Heart" resonates with every creature of God's creation that yearns for a loving and enduring relationship, "...same as a dying flower yearns for rain." Having enjoyed such a relationship for over 60 years, I know from experience that lightning and hail are part of life and part of any ongoing relationship. My only fear now is of what the great Kahlil Gibran speaks in his "The Prophet"-- "For ever has it been that love knows not its own depth until the hour of separation." Dear Liana, as a Master, you've shared with us the eloquence of wisdom. With love and respect, Richard

Don't Say (Poetry) - 9/29/2012 7:56:39 PM

Broken Heart (Poetry) - 9/27/2012 7:04:51 AM
Delicately conceptualized and rhymed, dear Liana. Your heart and pen swell with emotion in this construct. Your work, poetess, is always a cut above. Never rest your quill. The world would be a darker place without your communions. Much love and respect ... richard

Broken Heart (Poetry) - 9/26/2012 7:35:55 PM
Liana, what a moving, lovely poem of how love can leave us and the sorrow felt by that loss. Yet love has many forms and we could probably not be able to handle the passionate storms of love in later years--but I'd like to be given a chance to try. Nice hearing from you after so long. Micki

Broken Heart (Poetry) - 9/26/2012 3:19:03 PM
Liana, love is revealed from the aching in our hearts by the scars of tears that left our eyes sad and streaked with red - but remember we will - though we seek the passion, the thrill a broken heart beats out, a trill never to return, though we yearn - a magnificent poem Liana that tells the epic saga of youthful loves appeal - I wish you love and peace my dear friend - Jon Michael

Broken Heart (Poetry) - 9/26/2012 9:00:35 AM
Would we not all love to enjoy life in our youth armed with the wisdom and knowledge attained in our maturing years? The heart does not know the difference and there is no mirror to show its scars suffered through the years...it only knows that it desires and longs...deservedly so, just as our Creator designed it. Amor

Broken Heart (Poetry) - 9/26/2012 7:09:56 AM

What a generous and melodic gesture of love, Liana! I just wish I had gotten to know Georg as I came on AD just at the end of his time with us. He sent me a wonderful note introducing himself, and all about Pablo Casals, and he said how we were sure to be friends, but then sadly he was gone. xx Christine

Liana Margiva, forever precariously teetering on the verge of death is all life -- the wind but an obedient servant, a messenger of the fates --as the leaves are interred they yield the gift of sustenance to the new life to be, budding green at spring's appointed entrance --the autumnal proclamation is not to be denied its sway with all things, living -- this is classical quality emotions wrapped in velvet poetry my dear friend -- I bid you love and peace -- Jon Michael

Leaves (Poetry) - 10/12/2011 4:20:53 PM
Great! You capture the glowing colours of the autumn leaves but the observer knows all that rich colour foretells the leaves' imminent decay and death.

Melancholy and powerful imagery in this poignant poem of Autumn. Seasons and cycles in our lives. Being born, growing, thriving, declining, passing on, and it starts again and continues unstoppable. From the earth all things come and then return. I do look forward to reading your work, dear Liana. There is something, always, in the heart of your poems that reverberates in my mind, and spirit, as crystal bells. Excellent! richard

Leaves (Poetry) - 10/10/2011 5:29:53 AM
Very nice and quite vivid! Leaves go through a lot no matter what the season, they are beautiful during the seasons, yet they cluther the yard and then often raked and disposed of or burned. Leaves can also fertilized the land as they wither into the ground and even more so some can withstand frost and freezing only to return again all pretty and green. I love it and thanks for sharing Liana! Debbie

Leaves (Poetry) - 10/9/2011 8:51:33 AM
Liana, As always you bring us such tenderly beautiful poetry! The change of the season, especially fall(autumn) captures such pivotal moments in one's life. It is like shedding a skin to growing another. I feel that Autumn is dynamic because Natures teaches us that we can always evolve into another facet of life, it is a good thing for sure! Much peace, love and light, Amber

Leaves (Poetry) - 10/9/2011 7:17:21 AM
And so rules the joy and tragedy of our uncertain life, doors close while new doors open, life continuing without us while we want only that someone remembers we were here. But we were somewhere before we came and now, much as leaves, move on to other trees, all part of God's great plan. Life: what an extraordinary adventure! Again, my dear Liana, your eloquent phrasing captures it all. Love, respect and admiration, Richard

Don't Say (Poetry) - 10/3/2011 6:11:09 AM
An excellent message, dear Liana, with rhythm and rhyme flowing like an unrestrained stream. "point of no return" ... yes, the rubicon many go over that they can't turn back from. Sadly I've experienced this much in my life. Many failed friendships and relationships that, no matter what you do, remain only a wasteland of memories. "When in the midst of night I hear Birds’ songs of you in my keen ear," ... May I say that your poetry, to me, is like a beautiful bird's song. Excellent! Peace and continued inspiration to you ... richard

Don't Say (Poetry) - 10/2/2011 9:37:27 AM

Liana, I don't know a thing about the Russian language, but I'm quite certain it's very difficult to translate a poem and not lose something in the rhythm, but it would seem to be especially so when it comes to the rhyming aspect. However, I just have to say that this one most certainly still has all the heart and soul. Nicely done. By both you and Anatol. Thanks Dick

Liana I don't know when I've ever read a poem that affected me more deeply. I really have no words to describe the soulful beauty of this write.

"said we'd grow old together....whatever happened to forever....I've been trying to find my way back to your heart" -- lines from a ballad I am partial to Liana -- your poem of love, longing and goodbye is a sad song -- I bid you love and peace my dear friend -- Jon Michael

A poem that is also like a song, Liana. I can almost imagine it being sung. The last two lines are so sad, but beautiful and effective: I can see those bridges burn. Axilea

Liana, with the intensity of a Gregorian chant your epitaph is an endearing, formal poetic rite of passage for our departed AD friend, Georg Mateos -- he gave us his very best efforts at emotional, passionate expressions -- and you, have honored him with the same -- your words beautifully express the emotionnal pain many of us are unable to comforatbly relate -- I bid you love, peace and joy my dear friend --Jon Michael

Oh my. I didn't know he'd passed away. He was such a kind man, often times offering to pay my subs. And when battling in court over my son, he got AD members to write to the judge. Great tribute for a lovely gentle man. Farewell Georg! Maybe you'll bump in to my dad who died a few weeks back.

Pure poetic beauty, dear Liana. Yours is a marvelous gift that always radiates light and heart. Georg did often say that there was much sadness in him, but thank God he was able to express so much of that through his writing. Blessings of love and peace to you ... excellent work ... richard

"That’s why you hurt as if the Earth’s distress In its entirety on poet’s shoulders rests" I love these verses, Liana. One can feel the burden, the responsibility of the poet. A passionate tribute. Axilea
