His Big Feet (Short Story) - 4/5/2012 4:06:23 PM
You write in such a lovely manner, Louisa. Your Mama sounds wonderful, too. She let you make the decision and go home, rather than trying to push you. I'm kind of glad you didn't get that modeling job; you would then be known by your feet instead of by the person that you have become. Connie

A Turning Point (Short Story) - 4/22/2009 2:23:43 AM
Louisa you have taken a journey few people in the world have ever thought about. This journey led you from nurses aide to a dedicated soldier that took her defense of her country to heart. We don't have to carry and shoot guns to defend our country; we can do that simply by instilling confidence, pride, and resourcefulness in others to stand up for what they believe in, and for who they are. There are many people in this country, as well as the world that need this kind of guidance. With you at the helm Spec. 5 Louisa, I am sure that quite a few people are still being counseled. A 10 out of 10 Lousia and thank you for sharing. I really loved reading this. May the Lord Jesus bless you, and those whom you love and who love you, and be with you always, and at your side constantly. With much love in my heart, joy to the world, peace on earth & ((((((((((MANY WONDERFUL SISTERLY HUGGGGSSSS)))))))))), your den sister, Barbie

It's been over 15 years and I still talk about mama as if she were still alive. Thanks for sharing your beautiful work. (((HUGS)) Helen

Jesus Set the Standard (Poetry) - 7/9/2012 4:48:24 AM
SOME THINGS WE SHOULD PRAY TO FORGET...BUT THERE ARE OTHER THINGS THAT WE NEVER WANT TO FORGET. SO THOUGH THAT TIME WAS PAINFUL AND SO HARD FOR YOU, WITH IT CAME THE UNDERSTANDING OF WHERE YOUR GRANDMA HAD GONE AND WHERE YOU ONE DAY WOULD GO TOO. BECAUSE WHAT SEEMED LIKE THE END...WAS REALLY THE BEGINNING. JESUS' STANDARDS ARE OFTEN HARD TO SEE, BUT SO SWEET WHEN WE 'UNDERSTAND'. A WONDERFUL WORK THAT I WILL SAVE TO MY LIBRARY. GOD BLESS YOU, LOUISA AND THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SHARING. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH... JOYCE * HIS INSPIRATIONS

A Child's Innocence (Poetry) - 4/30/2012 10:22:44 PM
OH, LOUISA...HOW I DO WISH THAT THE CHILDREN OF TODAY HAD SUCH INNOCENT SPATS AS DESCRIBED. ITS NOT LIKE THIS ANYMORE AND IT'S SHAME...SO MUCH BEAUTIFUL 'INNOCENCE' HAS BEEN LOST...FOR IN THESE DAYS AND TIMES...KNIVES, GUNS AND BRUTAL BEATINGS ARE USED TO 'SETTLE' EVERYTHING. THANKS FOR SHARING AND, BY THE WAY, I LOVE THE NEW PICTURE...ITS A BEAUTIFUL PORTRAIT. BLESSINGS AND FAITH... JOYCE * HIS INSPIRATIONS

This is a wise and thoughtful writing, Louisa. When you get to know individuals, it's sometimes a revelation to find that they are totally different than their appearance portrays. God loves the world--that's every person! Connie

Day before Yesterday, Yesterday, Today; Tomorrow (Poetry) - 3/29/2012 12:44:25 AM
YOU ARE SO RIGHT, LOUISA. I DON'T KNOW ALL OF THE CIRCUMSTANCES SURROUNDING THIS INCIDENT IN fLORIDA, BUT THIS I DO KNOW - WHATEVER HAPPENED, TRAYVON, WHO HAPPEN TO BE WEARING A HOODIE AND ONLY HAD A BAG OF SKITTLES ON HIM AND WHO WAS FRIGHTENED BECAUSE HE WAS BEING FOLLOWED BY A WHITE MAN AT NIGHT THAT DIDN'T IDENTIFY HIMSELF, DID NOT 'DESERVE' TO DIE! IF ONLY THE OVER ZEALOUS WATCHMEN WITH A GUN HAD 'LISTENED' TO THE INSTRUCTIONS OF THE 911 OPERATOR AND 'NOT' FOLLOWED THE BOY. MY HEART ACHES EVERY TIME I THINK ABOUT IT AND I AM JUST WAITING TO SEE WHAT WILL BE THE FINAL ANALYSIS OF THIS TRAVESTY. I SYMPATHIZE WITH TRAYVON'S MOTHER. THIS IS SO HEARTWRENCHING AND SO VERY SAD! THANKS FOR SHARING, LOUISA. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...JOYCE * HIS INSPIRATIONS

Remember 9/11 (Poetry) - 9/16/2011 11:01:40 AM
It's interesting that you foresaw the tragedy before it happened. I knew it was a terrorist attack when I first heard, on the radio driving into work, that the first plane had struck the first tower. What was agonizing was knowing that the people inside could not get out and buildings before they collapsed, and heartbreaking to know that firemen were climbing those stairs in an effort to rescue those trapped above. Ron

GLAD THAT A 'VETERAN' HAS TAKEN THE TIME TO SAY SOMETHING POSITIVE ABOUT OUR PRESIDENT, WHO CAME INTO A HOUSE THAT WAS 'TORE DOWN' FROM THE CEILING TO THE FLOOR. Oh - O b a m a! (Poetry) - 7/11/2010 1:48:29 AM
Like Tony, I also no longer go to the VA for any of my medical needs. When I did go, I was wrongly diagnosed and it nearly killed me. They fall far short of the quality of care of civilian doctors. THAT is what really needs to be addressed by Mr. Obama. Still, this was well said, Louisa. God bless.

Oh - O b a m a! (Poetry) - 7/10/2010 5:08:34 PM
I've not followed what Mr. Obama has done for Vets of late, but I hope he does something worthy of his position...e

Oh - O b a m a! (Poetry) - 7/10/2010 5:05:24 PM
I am a veteran who never uses any if there are VA benefits. I at one time went to the VA hospital but I found besides disrespect from the civil workers, the doctors were all foreign educated. In one incident the wrong medicine was prescribed for me. So I do not know what Obama has done to right the wrongs of our veterans, ButIMHO the politics are anti-veteran. Thank You for sharing this well crafted writing. As it will bring much discussion. GOD BLESS YOU TONY

The Lord Will Make a Way (Poetry) - 7/6/2010 11:25:10 AM
YOUR CONCERNS ARE UNDERSTOOD BUT, ONLY GOD CAN TOUCH HEARTS STILL FILLED WITH HATE...ONLY HE CAN SOFTEN THEM. MEANWHILE WE 'MUST' KNOW AND BELIEVE THAT GOD HAS NOT BROUGHT MR. BENJAMIN THIS FAR TO LEAVE HIM. 'HE', DEEMED THAT THIS MAN SHOULD BE ELECTED...WAY BACK THERE ON CALVARY 'HE' SAW THESE DAYS AND TIMES. GOD 'HAS' MADE A WAY AND HE WILL SECURE IT. HE IS WITH THE MAYOR AND HIS FAMILY...YOU AND OTHERS THAT VOTED, DID NOT PLACE MR. BENJAMIN IN CITY HALL...GOD DID. HE WILL FIGHT THE BATTLE...LEAVE IT IN HIS HANDS AND STOP WORRYING. THE LORD 'WILL' CONTINUE TO MAKE A WAY. WELL DONE, LOUISA, AND BLESSINGS. LOVE, JOYCE * HIS INSPIRATIONS

Mayor Stephen K Benjamin Inauguration Gala July 1, 2010 (Poetry) - 6/27/2010 7:06:46 PM
I AM NOT UNDERSTANDING THE WORDS WRITTEN ON CITY HALL. THERE IS A BLACK MAN SEATED IN THE HIGHEST LEADERSHIP POSITION OF THIS NATION...AMERICANS PUT HIM THERE. AND AMERICANS PUT STEVE BENJAMIN IN THE POSITION OF COLUMBIA'S MAYOR. THE EYES OF THE 'BLIND' MUST BE ANOINTED WITH THE BALM OF GILEAD AND YOU ARE RIGHT...ONLY PRAYER WILL MAKE THE DIFFERENCE...ONLY PRAYER WILL PROTECT MR. BENJAMIN AND HIS FAMILY AND CHANGE THE HEARTS OF THOSE POOR, OPPOSING, 'SICK' INDIVIDUALS. THANKS FOR SHARING AND GOD BLESS YOU. LOVE, JOYCE * HIS INSPIRATIONS

Thank God for Jesus (Poetry) - 6/24/2010 10:12:45 PM
Amen! How right you are- when I was first getting the illnesses I currently have, that is when I've felt Jesus right beside me, guarding off the dark thoughts of the devil. There is a Saint Teresa of Calcutta saying something to the effect that when you suffer you are close enough to touch or kiss Jesus, will have to look it up for you, and it is so true. May God always bless you, lovely lady-and my prayers still go out nightly for Luis. xxxx Michelle
