I will get this book in a week or two! I just got back to work (School Bus Driver - 9 Rtes. a day all ages of Angels)
and you are Voice of REASON my friend. YOU are a Angel to those that are hurting, alone and feeling the depths of pain! I enjoyed your passionate heart and how you held me to the end, with your honest and undying efforts to let US KNOW these FUTURE hurting children! I write all genres of writing, in children's behalf, since being Abused Sexually by my dad for years, to reach out to others still hurting and knowing the pain, manipulation and more in their lives! Untrust! No RESPECT, I could relate to your heart in children's matters of their "REACHING HEARTS" in your lines here! Thank you for being their for so many and touching them deeply! WE have a struggling, (18teen) living with us, my stepson (WE most times cannot reach) Just moved in and I feel after all the moving around and lack of parental guidance he was not given! Your book will bring more exceptance to my "willing heart, mind and soul"! GOD BE YOU daily from the time you awake to when you sleep! and may everytime you look into the empty soul/eyes of a child, young adult, may your love touch them through HIM!

I am sure that John McCain is a strong supporter of mental health issues and I'm sure that he will speak to this issue. I wouldn't rule him out because of a questionaire that has not been returned.

Abuse in these hospitals has been going on for a long time. I would dare to say that this is still the norm for most of the state hospitals. I spent my career in Georgia working in the mental health profession retiring only recently. I saw first hand some of that abuse when I was interning at Central State in the 70s as an undergraduate. Later I saw some of the same stuff at West Central Georgia Regional in Columbus. I always spoke out against it. I always felt that low pay attracted inadequate staff and that probably has not changed today. In defense of the hospitals, they are given an extremely tough population to work with also. This is a good article.
