It would be nice if every POD book were eligible for a POD Quality certification. The author pays a couple hundred bucks to be read and considered, and if it holds up on paper then it could have a pretty little logo to tell readers "This isn't garbage."
It's a romantic thought that literacy could be put before dollars and cents, but it's never going to happen.
I've done POD twice and wasn't taken seriously until I went the traditional route.

Well written, Yvonne… But I am sorry I just cannot see any good coming out of any product where the raw material is murdered human beings. Sadly, the driving force behind stem cell research is money, not recovery. It will be a gold mine, even if it doesn’t work. We might even be able to pay young girls to get pregnant and have abortions to feed the production line eventually. This will also help justify all of those millions of dead aborted babies and create new jobs, too while making some additional bucks for abortion clinics. “Yes, Kill a baby, save a life, get some bucks.” Hey, maybe we can tattoo them and make lampshades out of their skin just like the Nazis. I’m afraid if we do not respect human life as sacred, then we will soon be viewing human beings as simple trash that can be recycled for cash.
