Smokin' Hot (Short Story) - 7/31/2008 10:50:05 AM
Well I must say......KUDOS TO YOU!! It's about time someone spoke up for the men being bashed by their "not so happy" loved ones. You sure did a wonderful job. This should be put in newspapers across the world.......maybe then would women understand how much they would gain in positive chat about their significant others! Women are powerful in so many ways and when they start bashing it goes below who they are in society. I enjoyed this write!

Dorothy
Boys and Their Toys (Short Story) - 3/23/2007 1:19:55 PM
Boys will be boys. With my hubby, it's Jeeps and jeep related accessories--not to mention his hot-rod project. I figured it would be wrong to stand between him and his child-like delights. I just make sure he's not blowing our mortgage on winches and brush-guards.

Been there done that too. Married a snake that slithered around me for 16 years. I shed the bum though. Good job Nan. I like your writing style. Gonna follow you.

Ode to My Father's Truck (Poetry) - 7/26/2008 4:08:35 PM
Am right there with you in missing my Dad. I always went with him and sat in the back seat when a child as if to say He's my chauffer.
He didn't mind, I did not mind. I was my fathers sidekick he'd tell others. I had such good times with him. Mother was the disciplanarian in our family and Dad and I were the ones who stuck together against her if we could. He was a very good man, my dad and handsome besides. Have photos to relate to him when needing memories.
His Way (Poetry) - 7/26/2008 12:25:09 PM
God is number one in my life now always. He give me what he wants me to have, leads me on my way each and every day I live now. I will abound in his tender mercies.

Ode to My Father's Truck (Poetry) - 7/11/2008 8:34:52 PM
I know you miss him...like Cryssa misses her mom; and I miss both of mine, my son, my precious mate, and on and on it goes... You know, sometimes we don't have to "move" to "feel" them near....but sometimes we have no choice....but remember this.... wherever you are..He is! My late hubby used to tell me about my first granddaughter... She is the spittin image of you thru and thru...and as long as she lives...you live! I thought about that, and it spoke volumes... We are a part of those we love and so on... I love this poem very much... very very much. Lindalaw

I hope he did not ruin you for life or for another relationship. You can find something better and eventually go on with life. Believe me I do know, it happened to me. Being asked for a divorce with 4 daughters to raise, and then divorcing him I found true love with my 2nd husband. Don't give up, there are good ones still out there who won't hurt you but give you lots of love and truly stand by you in everything you do. So sorry what you are going through now. Things will get better in time.
