Yes, I have a friend who was violated. It is getting to be common in too many nursing homes. God save them!

Nursing Home Do's and Dont's (Book) - 5/1/2009 2:07:10 PM
Heartfelt, it certainly breaks my heart to hear of such wrongdoings. It is unbelievable at what others will stoop to do just for a buck. This book surely seems insightful and it is wonderful to that you have built a foundation to address such issues.
Wishing you all the best in this quest to rid the nursing homes of such unspeakables. Congrats on this book and all the others to follow.
Take care,
Gwendolyn

Brooke,
Always the innocent, the defenseless, who suffer at the hands of medical greed. I would love to read this book. It needs to be placed in every parent's hand, of every one who has no idea what happens behind closed doors.
(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.

Nursing Home Do's and Dont's (Short Story) - 9/13/2009 8:22:09 PM
Reading this made me physically ill. Why isn't more being done to protect those who can't protect themselves?? This is preposterous! But this is a much needed article; thanks for sharing!
(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Tx., Karen Lynn. :( *tears!*

A very touching write. Reminds me of when I played guitar and sang songs for old folks in nursing homes. Thank you for sharing. :-)

SEE ME (Poetry) - 10/19/2010 9:08:41 AM
Brooke,
I have never been touched so deeply by a poem as "See Me". I actually cried as I read the poem. It brought back the memory of my own mother as she approached her final days, and also the realization of so many more elderly women who this very day are in the same situation. We need to see the whole person from begining to end and respect and love them as much as we can.
God's Blessing,
Thurman.
PS. I am also sorry for the loss of your son and for his abuse.
