Interview with Cyber-authoress Jane Air - NEW (Book) - 7/21/2008 3:59:13 PM
well that clinches it! I'm gonna download your "gonewiththewinds" deal and probably read it though I wish I had a Kindle. Problem is I live in the middle of a Florida wilderness and only have modem dialup, so it has to wait for a day when the computer is free to be tied.
I like your approach and I am PRO_Ecology ALL THE WAY! I'm also heavily involved in studio recording on piano BUT I think you've got something here especially if it's being used for "Non-selfish" purposes. This world needs that, if it's not TOO LATE...

Jane Air's Index of Published Poems (Book) - 7/21/2008 3:45:35 PM
I like this: colorful and orderly. I had a recent personal website I just canceled with Yahoo due to $expense and lack of visitors. I had my latest music as mp3s loaded on the site and a poetry/song INDEX very similar to the one you have here that I was building. BUT alas, only people from AD who I dragged there by "force of link" would go and then they often didn't or couldn't download or hear the music!
So over the next few weeks I will read your stuff little by little and I hope you don't mind if I learn a thing or two about blogging for the sake of my own stuff, particularly my self-published JAZZ CD! (which is great New Age/jazz keyboards! On Amazon!)
I have been just terrible in avoiding using this internet tech. and I have to "Face the Music!" (and the world of free blogs!)
Great titles to these poems, can't wait to read the "GW" ones...

Cyberverse eflyer (Book) - 7/21/2008 3:21:19 PM
Never thought of using this forum to publish photos, although I have used it to advertise my published music CD (soon to be 2) of piano music. I wanted to see this as I've often thought of writing a funny story about "Too Many Michael Guy's" especially from Australia and who happen to be musicians! (I'm a Yank)
Your pages are interesting approach to self-promotion. You live in a lovely land...
best, michael guy

'Alice in Wonderland' take on the economy... (Poetry) - 6/16/2009 3:13:31 PM
You can't trust anyone in this world. Lesson No 1. Remember that.
It is almost like we are living in a parallel world, as events become more absurd and surreal by the moment. Hold on to your hat, because it is going to get worse before it gets better.
You have intermixed the adroit background of Alice in Wonderland into a medley of political soundbites rather weel i reckon.

This is excellent stuff!!!
Climate Crisis Talks ( Bali ) (Poetry) - 2/7/2009 10:14:39 AM
Interesting Headliner. I personally think that something like this should be on the front page of every paper everyday. Unfortunately its not and we so often forget about the world and get caught up in our own individual world. Which really doesn't exist as a sole universe because we are all connected in the wonderful web called Mother Earth. It is my hope that we can change. It will take more works and people with a heart like yours for us to get there, but I believe we can make and one day have Peace on Earth. With each other and nature herself.
The Scrooges in Hard Times - The Spirit of Greed Past (Poetry) - 1/11/2009 7:48:15 AM
The economical collapse is a historic and yet sad reality of which many are bound to. Nice work on this piece...

True, very true, but at first I saw the title I thought you were writing about the 3 Stooges, though with regards banks, maybe you are after all...Ed
Global Warming : Arctic Grab ( extract ) (Poetry) - 12/22/2008 12:43:04 PM
A "real" statement about what is going on. We are destroying this planet and ourselves in the process. I feel badly for my children (and grand children if I ever get any). Thank you, Jane. Love and best wishes,
Regis

The Climate Timebomb Ticks (Poetry) - 7/21/2008 3:12:27 PM
This is not only a great message but a pretty good poem and cleverly done with sound effects. When we "enviros" were talking of "Global Warming" at our monthly meetings back in 1990-91 everyone laughed or hated us...now, like you point out, we are reaching that dangerous point of "no-return" /"CO2 can no longer be mopped
By the lungs of the earth ( already chopped )" And you point out what so many have already forgotten that the worlds vegetation IS the lungs of our earth. Without it we WILL dry up for sure.
I hope more people read your poem...
best, michael guy

The Climate Timebomb Ticks (Poetry) - 7/21/2008 1:19:24 PM
There are six, going on seven billion people on earth. That's a high multiplier for anything humans do. Even with current technology, would we have such serious problems if the number was say, 2.5 billion?
Best regards,
Leland
The Climate Timebomb Ticks (Poetry) - 7/21/2008 6:50:57 AM
Our enemy isn’t the sun
But our very own egos - overrun
I fear you are right, and I very sadly wonder if we're not already past the point of no return.

Plastic Bags (Poetry) - 5/18/2008 7:57:43 AM
Saw your poem and link on Comment is Free so I thought I would make contact here. Love the poem, had mixed feelings about the article on CiF. Plastic bags are an evil in themselves but the solution lies in people becoming more aware. How many plastic bags does it take to equal a dumped matress or fridge?
But as far as Government action goes, they are a diversion. "Oh look everyone," goes the script, "we've taxed plastic bags, we're really concerned about the environment." (aside: planning permission for ten new hypermarkets Mr Tesco, certainly, send us the money in small denomination notes in a plastic ban; new runways and terminals at Heathrow, Gatwick and Stanstead, certaibly Mt. BA, a few share options will do nicely."
You know what it is all about.
best,
Ian

Nature Through The Psychodelic Lens (Poetry) - 5/3/2008 9:37:46 AM
Great title and imagery. I especially like these lines:
"Drowning the hills in a fine red wine"
and
"A secret stash of bluebells / As if forbidden, lie hidden /
Beyond the bracken"
