GUESS WHAT? I WENT TO BLURB.COM AND...I SIGNED UP! I DON'T HAVE THE MONEY NOW BUT MAYBE MY NEXT BOOK OF POEMS WILL COME FROM THERE. I SAW YOUR BOOK AND WONDERED...DID YOU MEAN FOR THE 'PREVIEW' PAGE TO BE EMPTY? ANYWHO...OWING TO THE EXTENT OF THE GIFT OF CREATIVITY THAT RESIDES IN YOU, I KNOW IT IS GOOD. THE COVER IS BEAUTIFUL. THANKS FOR SHARING AND MAY GOD BLESS. LOVE, JOYCE * HIS INSPIRATIONS

Last night I wrote something about a cold sea and a warm vision that is shared... funny how the sea inspires us and reflects our moods and emotions. As a reader, I feel close to this woman and understand the cyclical nature of things that come and go, until we are no longer scared of living.

On Waves (Poetry) - 9/30/2012 11:45:31 AM
The mighty waters are such a medium of giving and taking in such dramatic ways. But the secrets she imparts and is party to... now that's another story and she must own many hundreds of thousands if you think that each glint on the waves is a wink (or a halfway smirk!) from each of us who has taken her into our confidence! Love this, Christine. May the sea wash you safe back onto our AD shores before too long... Take care xx

ahhh, a refreshing pause, as waves subside, and the long lingering looks, so like the setting sun, so like the lifting wind carrying the cruising gulls... nothing like this imagery and the kind of inverse pathetic fallacy that you make it engender within the heart and soul of your protagonist, the speaker who is as always playing blessed for keeps... stay strong, Christine, as you will be missed by all of us who revere your inimitable style... may wonders never cease.

Taking on the sea is a challenge for any poet, but again and again, I have seen you master it and, nay, excel in what the sea gives you, n'er to be returned, always close to your heart. I hope it is good tidings which will keep you away.

"Stop dragging my heart around" I think was the title
Reflect (Poetry) - 9/15/2012 3:22:12 PM
Powerful! There's always in that reflection such a tension between past and future, what is right or wrong, what brings joy but is sadly construed as sinful. I think you are so brilliant at these little poems, at writing in so few words the insides of our human natures. Blessings, xx

Christine once again you master your topic with a special magic that only those who have truly loved can feel. It does only take a spark to create a flame but sadly yes if it is not protected and sheltered it can be so easily extinguished. As for huge hands, yes even the biggest and roughest hands can be as soft as velvet when caressing someone who holds their heart forever. Well done Chrissie.

Have you ever bought those love candles?
They are so cool they each have a separate wick
to light...and as they burn the wax drips cool colors
and as the candle burns & burns the wicks turn into one flame!
they come in variety of perfumes with symbolic meanings

Bewitchingly enchanting. "where pain was hidden in the night," -- how this can be applied to so many wounds. There is great healing in these words. Thank you ~~ Diana

the 'Kiss me and the 'Hold me'
are strong enough but then the
'Inhale me now' is the knockout;
writing of poignancy and tenderness
and tremendous focus.
Christine, yes!

I just love that phrase "inhale me." I wrote a poem not too long ago called "I Inhale, You Exhale."
Loved this poem. The ending was unique . . .
"whispers of gossip heard in the wind,
our novel buried, written on a whim"
Your poem brightened up my day.

Perfectly penned Chrissie...such an invitation is hard to ignore when someone loves you enough to hear the words and the gift of love within. We can't always see what we have until we no longer have it. Can an ending birth a new beginning?

Dear Christine,
This is a lovely poetic haiku.
I love the sea.
It's where you go to.
It heals us when your sad and blue.
But we should never forget.
The oceans changing tides.
For The Lord God knows our pain.
He knows all of us deep down inside.
Peace, love and blessings,
JMD

Sometimes even the simplest of memories such as this heart melting picture of your granddaughter are the most precious and the longest lasting. The blowing on a dandelion, holding a buttercup under your chin, or first time picking and eating wild berries, are all little miracles seen brand new to a child's eyes and through them we see the magic all new again...
