I can say..well done. You deserve it! All those hard hours of work put in..I know. It's a day you will never forget. I had my book put into a book store in London this year for the 1st time.
I was very red faced about the whole thing. But secretly...I was in Heaven.

Book signings are things I really haven't done. I did set up shop once outside of a store, and watch as people stared cautiously at my enlarged book cover, but few were interested enough to come take a look. (I could have used some of the advice you shared here), as I didn't want to impose myself on anyone by asking them to come check me out, but handing out a card as they went in the store, might have had more people interested in stopping by after they were done shopping...
So thank you:)
(If I ever do that again I will employ that:)
They can read it or throw it away but it's not intrusive.
(
Personally, I have walked by stands etc and the ones that are hollering the loudest to come see what they have to sell are the ones I am most likely to avoid)...
Best of luck with all that you do:)
Sincerely,
Chase:)
PS it is Easter so Happy Easter to you and yours as well:)

I hope to have a book signing somewhere if I ever have a book to sign! I do have a contract, but it will be a while before I hold a book in my hand. It is truly terrifying to think that someone needs to know me before getting acquainted with my book. I always thought books sold themselves. I've never met any of the authors of any book I own. hmmmmmmm
