Blood and Rain is a fast and dirty book. At times you get an icky feeling from it. John Dark's character is in a down and disgusting place in his life with no hopes of changing for the better, but he is always there to save others. A bit of warning, the supernatural stuff doesn't come around until thel last quarter of the book and the editing is pretty bad, but the story shines through and what a story it is.
