The Tale of Re'Mark (Short Story) - 6/24/2006 3:33:28 PM
Pan the teacher, Re'Mark the seeker...on an eternal quest of truth and reason. And it all comes down to the truth that is within each of us, but very few have the courage to follow. Nicely done!

I loved this story. It is so universal, yet so personal. Well done. The progression, the detail, the personalities are outstanding. The concept is original and well thought out. The touch of mythology in the use of Pan as the guide is brillient.

The Tale of Re'Mark (Short Story) - 9/10/2002 6:05:09 AM
you are a very clever writer....you have put into this story a clear version of what life is all about or should be all about if we weren't so fearful....very mythical and very very good....you did an excellent job!!!!
anew (Poetry) - 1/5/2012 11:37:46 AM
if it was true to be
would i ever really be free
this is a dream i may never see
and so i leave it all to thee
painful and honest i am only me
watching the aging of the tree
where i felt the sting of the honey bee
bent down upon my knee
and i prayed
i am tired now. this life is to end-another to begin? i don't want to know anymore what is evidently not mine for the taking
he will do as he does the choices are not mine
and hence that word..."fine."

I have been away for some time as you know. I am pleased to be back and able to read your words dearest you have been in so many ways others seemingly can not relate. your works speak to me in night and in the day where i wish i could find the same as so many long for.

ether (Poetry) - 3/5/2011 3:50:03 PM
Oh, longing so deeply...
and those dreams reaching out to take hold...
beautiful imagery, the 'pearlized ether', so brilliantly shines, yet so fragile, so untouchable, yet beckoning and shining through the pain and mmemory, hope maybe will come alive...
monsters waiting to swallow me (Poetry) - 3/4/2011 2:36:36 PM
Such Imagery! & the pain of those demons so frightening...
they pull and so much pain they bring, yet that soul/spirit cries out for that salvation...
snowflakes (Poetry) - 3/4/2011 2:33:48 PM
so much here, passion--the good, the painful and that wonderful ending, beautiful...that 'dawn
falling like
snowflake dreams'
snowflake dreams, love it, so fragile, so beautiful, so human!
anew (Poetry) - 2/20/2011 12:08:52 PM
yes, yes!
to be reborn...
so many 'moments' that 'eternity upon' the soul...
you are so beautifully contemplative here, oh, we are getting older, perhaps and longing..
painful, touching...the angel may have fallen, but seems here to be seeking new life, anew, indeed...
m.
ravaged (Poetry) - 2/20/2011 12:02:22 PM
so relate in my own way...
salvation so longed for and cannot see either
you have touched the heart's pain and the soul's yeearning, my friend...
this world can be so difficult, sigh, life such a struggle and here is one within this piece who longs and dreams still...
may you find the comfort you seek and may all of us who are moved by this find the same...wmh,
m.

engagingly pensive self-reflection, richard.
the mood echoes in one's mind; alas, to be reborn, to rise to a new
level of consciousness, to attain that elusive sacred unity and its
attendant eternal peace... hmmm...
a truly wonderful read.

The economy of your work is masterful. This is a poem that reads like a gentle watercolor -- art, yes, but at its softest, a mere kiss of paint on the canvas.

Perfect love is rare indeed - for to be a lover will require that you continually have the subtlety of the very wise, the flexibility of the child, the sensitivity of the artist, the understanding of the philosopher the acceptance of the saint, the tolerance of the scholar and the fortitude of the certain. --Leo Buscaglia

so, so much here, richard...pain, that love for the stars and speeding through life and yet that loneliness and pain, yeah, the good old american dream, dammit, it just doesn't work out for many, but you keep on and yes, oh, you've done, likely enough penance and more-- tho' i wonder if you will ever believe that--you've been to hell and back and your works, well... just so much, much here--like here is richard poor --body, midnd, spirit ..heart and more heart and pain and beauty nd that everlasting reacing for the stars and love...but i, i just well, wish i had the words-- these are so damn real, so raw and so full and more...at a loss, but one thing to know-- you ARE a Poet and then some...

and you could and still can, I have to believe, have to...
here, you show that, so much here in so few words...
yes, the demons plague but dammit I Believe you have a capacity for the other, for love...just need to find your way somehow and let it shine
your love, yes, let it roar gently
'as if a god'....

this moved me as your work has much moved me lately, so, I mean it...
all the best, you, sir, and more.....
oh,the horrors (Poetry) - 8/10/2006 6:15:35 PM
damn, keep yearning.... your poetry is full of that yearning and more...
it hurts, this, to be so held/haunted, etc., and yes, those lines Elizabeth pointed out say so, so much...but the 'flesh' is not the whole, thankfully and you, dear Poet, write about it's hold on one so well, yet you know, there is again, that yearning and your heart may just someday lead you...who knows?
It takes hard work as we are at times so much slaves to our natures and backgrounds yet... there is something in your works that shows such heart, heartfelt need for the better, for good and love and peace within and yes, always, it seems that dream of heaven---oh, I could cry as it can be so hard to battle our duality/the dual nature within...you know...'the flesh is weak', but also richard the spirit, well, your spirit and heart both, perhaps, yearn, burn unbearably, yet still you write and something soars, thus, for me, it must live within you...how I hope you find that soaring nature that your heart holds ---at least from what you give us here...and
it does give and give and that my friend is Good, Goodness does live within you in spite of all the horrors, at least your words soar somehow w/that message to us...well, for me, it does and others, I think...please hold fast your heavenly, moonlit, star-filled dreams, make them real someday, oh, I so hope you find them grow stronger, somehow, inside of you (as we see it, you know)

a life of crime (Poetry) - 8/8/2006 1:03:30 PM
special and unique, the way you did this...one doesn't see that last line coming and also, ah, yes, please, if nothing else, do share it...
that
'moonlight'...
you, in this, it intrigues me w/it's drama that at first can seem more dark, personal, real and then it's as if you Are a phantom, out there, up there 'stealing' stars and ohhh, that 'moonlight'...
love it, did the first time, ages ago and you, well, a moon loving poet and sigh...don't we all wanna stael a star and especially that mmon so often, at the least, want it/them for our selves-- then again, I suppose it is so nice to share, also that night and its light...so dear thief, yes do give it back and we will still let you share..

on a roll (Poetry) - 8/3/2006 3:28:48 PM
Ah, richard, I like what Elizabeth says and you, well...through the pain and through the life you've lived, you've for so many years been a Poet, see...perhaps that is your destiny, at least a large part-- that place where you can bare the softest and the rawest wounds /the pain and the beauty and I don't know...but indeed on a roll you are in this new work --so much of it, and i imagine in that heart and your life as well...and sometimes it is a rolling hill we climb, but always the poet/wordsmith/giver of what lives within you!

sawyer (Poetry) - 8/3/2006 3:23:53 PM
yes, you are good at this, richard, i know and it is back breaking work, but you are also so very, very good as a sawyer of sorts w/words...this, well, you inspired me to write my first piece in a long, long time...
it has the sweat and raw strength and pull and push of stone cutting and of, also life screaming and more...a fine piece, yes, tho' remember you are 'good at' many more things than even you may Imagine...
and this piece is so excellent, it, well...again, raw, honest and much, much meaning is your words, as usual, sir!
m.
(((r.))) remember you are good at giving, sigh...
what a piece, of work and yet of life and of body/mind/Spirit!!!
sunset (Poetry) - 8/3/2006 3:17:48 PM
strange, yes, to lose so often our battles, yet go on and somehow strong in the struggle and how much beauty you see, give, here, in this 'sunset', beautifully painted...ah, richard, I guess it might also be a metaphor for aging, also...
this is special and yes, you hold some dreams so close to that heart, though your life may have taken a different direction, oh we are complex, we humans and you've given us here another so honest glimpse into the pain and beauty and the search and more in this poem...
love it,
w/m/h,
m.

sunset (Poetry) - 8/3/2006 3:58:28 AM
You'd be surprised at how many do NOT live each day as given, nor try to make it the best it can be. You are already way ahead of the pack.
Everytime something is "lost" there is always something better to replace it. Not everyone has the 'eye wisdom' or the 'heart wisdom' to see.
An excellent philisophical poem.
Best,
Elizabeth

god, yes, just it sways and moves with the desire and the romance and the beauty of that feeling, oh, god, yes, just that first line, had me, it is so true, a touch of the hand and the heart can melt...
you've caught so much within these few beautifully chosen, swayin with that soul dancing and that heart...
it, the piece is entrancing...
and so, so true, you know?

glowing (Poetry) - 7/17/2006 9:54:35 PM
god, richard, thank you...
this is so much a beautiful, oh so very beautiful piece, exposing the pain, naked and all too much as human as one can be...
you've expressed both the naked raw hurt/pain/need as well as that extraodinary memory of hope-- that moon, oh yes, my friend...it was and Is yet still your soul glowing...
I could cry...you've opened up here and given so much and in the most beautifully poetic way, your Imagery is so in itself masterful and still the tiny specks we are who so long fo love and home and hope shines through, glows and gives and gives us all a most special glimpse into your gifts as a writer and into the person, unafraid to share the pain and the guts and the whole, whole of one-- you, yes, and yet what a gift as you make one feel, here so not alone...
I am humbled by the writing and moved by your words all too much, sigh...
loneliness is dark and still those 'silver stars
shine...'
Thank YOU for this, god it is among your best...
and it hurts and glows at the same time...
w/m/h,

62806 (Poetry) - 7/5/2006 8:56:18 PM
i understand, in my way, this piece, all too much...
it hurts, it just...it, this somehow speaks to me of all too much the pain of yes, the toxic dreams/life oh...of the damned cursed loneliness and the all too hard to fight demons...
and yes, richard, how much truth here for you know/have seen all too much inside the nightmare and it is lonely ...
all so very much far too lonely
god, you, you also just
know, i don't know, this hurts badly, it is just so real, and no...
no bell tolls when this is the dream...
better and better 'dreams' wished to you and all ...yes, me too, who have ever been through anything like this...
damn...
just, you...oh, ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
you make others perhaos feel so not alone for a moment, baring your whole ....
thanks, you, yes....
falling for you (Poetry) - 7/5/2006 8:48:09 PM
i nearly cried, how long it has been to feel like this and god, richard, not only so felt, but so beautifully written...
you make one 'fall' with you into the arms and bed, yes, curled up like a child, feeling at long last home, if even for
a moment...
god, this is so beautiful and more...much here, so few perfectly chosen words and it is just, again, painfully beautiful, so so...oh, i am at a loss...
i love this
written from/with the heart
yes? Oh yes...
you, heart man
so full of the search, the dream, the pain...
that heart
sighs here in such a peace...
and such a longing fulfilled in this dream of a piece!
i am again, well...oh to feel this way, it...just, this is a keeper, mia amico

broken heart (Poetry) - 6/21/2006 4:58:09 PM
amazing, god, what a piece, richard, every line just...yes, this is lost love and so beautifully written, it...oh, this was love-- and to lose it, well, this--this Is a broken heart...and it is so softly, eloquently painfully well written...and more...
so many lines, every one, god so felt, so much conveyed in few words that ring so true...damn, beautifully done, richard...
it is, again amazing, dear you!

monster that i am (Poetry) - 6/21/2006 3:16:57 PM
no monster, you...god, yes, it feels that way, i do know, and this, richard, painful, and dammit, you do know all too much that has been ingrained in you over years and years of the violence, yet your heart, spirit soar as you learn, and give, 'teach
understanding'
mi amico, as f'ing dark, hard, painful and black-red raging pain, there, i know, i know...still, you keep on and on, seeking that solace that huge heart deserves...
this
piece hurts, it, it is painful and i know, in my way how it feels to be so 'lost', 'alone' and...well, you've opened your guts/heart up raw/beautifully here, still leaving us with the goodness you are!
it DOES live within you...the monster is the pain and memory and raging pain is so unbearable, yet, here you come through and give...
the
'all too human that you are'!!!!!!!!!!!!!

this hurts, richard, i too much relate and this is so brutally honest in its all too human raw open words of how much it takes just to be who one is, you know?
some amazing lines...
those miles/'corpse-like' and 'guessed at without clues' and just wow, painfully too good...yes, i, too search still and it becomes so hard sometimes to go on again and again, searching, but thank you...just, well, because...

ah, don't know, its love also...this makes me feel for you, my dear poet and i relate and also seek in my own way...and the 'dream' we chase, sigh...
oh for it to come to rest within, you know?
for it to come true, at least enough to salve the wounds we, many of us carry, in many ways...
yes, you give and may you get what will make your heart calm and more...

Happy Birthday my friend...If I had known I coulda write you a poem......lol that rhymes...hey not so bad to be fifty......just keep it nifty....lols!!
To Be "Nifty" Fifty AGAIN
The most Uplifting time of life
You turned fifty and confused
As you take another look
You realize to be uplifted
You might just have to re-cooperate
Changes need to be made
You will have to think about
A “Cross your Heart” bra
Or maybe a “Cross your Knees”
To lift the bust
Some “Step-in” panties
To lift that stomach
And Oh boy some
“Viagra”
To lift your husband
To please your sex drive
Oh! Boy
But the visit to the doctor
Could be a pain in the ass
If he walks in with that glass
If you laugh to much
You pee in your pants
Cough in church
Your ass start to sing along
And with the slightest breeze
You start to sneeze
And you poop in D-Minor
Oh it is so “Uplifting” to be fifty
Just remember when you sneeze
Cross your knees and squeeze
For the Most Uplifting
Melodic sounds of fifty
Love Tinka

beautiful, oh, and if only that distance could be traveled, sigh...
so that your 'soul' and that heart might really 'feel' all, all, body, spirit, heart...
loneliness, oh, how loving can heal the heart and more...
this is like a song of loving and longing and...it is a song from the heart, w/the simplicty of a Country-like song, yet with so much feeling, y'know?
so well written, dear you, richard...
it sighs with that soul of yours and sings out and well...beautiful, so beautifully, longingingly expressed, and as with you, ever so human...makes one want Omaha to be--for real, there, distance gone and more...
ah, r. poor, you poetman seeking...

gone and closeness, beauty felt ....
