There's a story behind every roadside memorial--and this is a good (sad!) one, told in verse. We 21st Century folk are always surprised when Nature springs one of her deadly surprises. Thanks for sharing, and for the picture of Branden's memorial.

So sad, the urban blight of once happy, safe places. It's the loss of the natural world everywhere, allied with the getting older. Anyhow, this is a good poem!
