Wow! I loved this! Are you writing a book about your Dad? This, shortened, I bet could get into Guideposts or win their contest coming up in the summer. It has family, faith, life, death and love, all the things that make a story touch people and change their lives. This could help alot of people in a similiar situation. It really is wonderful, and I hope you do join that contest, I really think you would win. Thanks for asking me to read this, it has made a difference in my life, too, a story I will never forget. Blessings to you and yours, Michelle :)

Something is most definitely wrong here; I am fed up with this myself!! Don't GET me started; you'll never hear the end of it!! GRRRRR!!!
(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Tx., Karen Lynn. :(

My heart feels sympathy for you.
I can only imagine the frustration you embrace on the west coast. I get in a dither when I hear that California prisons have a 70% occupation rate by Hispanics/Latinos. Makes my blood boil to think we give these low life's so much and all they want is more and more and more. It won't be long Gringo before we are the United States of Mexico.
Would you like to hear about the concessions we make to this group of foreigners. My wife started a new job at Loew's and during her initial training she was informed by management that she or any of her workers should never refer to people of Spanish or Mexican decent as Mexicans. She was told this is the equivalent of using the N word to blacks.
Then why are people from Canada referred to as Canadians and people from America called Americans and people from Brazil, Brazilians? Yet we must make exceptions when speaking about people from Mexico and call them Latinos or Hispanics? Are they that embarrassed about their country and heritage that they wish to be addressed by another title? Obviously so! What does that tell you about Mexico when even their own people hate the reference?
I become too frustrated to elaborate any further on this subject.

The yearning of separation for someone we love is like an endless ache that never quite goes away until we are united...well expressed.

Judge Me, Judge Yourself (Poetry) - 4/11/2008 9:06:04 PM
Boy, is that the truth. If people realized this, they wouldn't expect their relationships to be fairy tales of perfection and would just love. Great message.

You are so right, through mistakes we learn, grow and hopefully become better. I have fallen countless times, but it never stopped me from getting back up. No one has the right to judge another. Just be who you are and be proud....
Be always safe,

Amen. No one is perfect and if you come across anyone who thinks they are, you should run the other way for they obviously have major ego issues. If others expect us to be something we're not, then they're not friends and don't, honestly, have our best interests at heart. My parents preached that to me, growing up, and it's a lesson that all children should learn.
