I Can (Poetry) - 1/5/2011 12:46:25 PM
In 1987 I wrote a poem by the name of "I can". That poem created the term Afr-i-can Amer-i-can, and has much history associated with it. I would hate for someone to mistake your write for mine.

Well I think that's not bad at all if you are not used to writing limericks. They're fun but not that easy.
There's this gal at AD named Paula
She's polite and she always says "hola" (Spanish for hello or hi)
She'll oblige if you ask
And she'll get right to task
By singing if you give her a dollah
Just for fun. It's your fault for getting me thinking "limerick" (LOL). Thanks for sharing. Welcome to AD. Love and best wishes to you,
Regis

Thought-provoking questions, Paula. The sentiments you express give substance for reflection. Thank you. Welcome to AD. Love and best wishes,

Sometimes the pane of glass that stands between us and others is part of a window. But sometimes it is part of a door. Many times we decide from the beginning it is a window, and so never even try to push it open. Some doors need a key. Some need courage. I liked your poem.

I prefer wit to all the other forms of intelligence ... but some teachers don't. I hope yours likes wit.
