A Cut Above ( Is no Longer available) (Book) - 4/7/2009 11:54:28 AM
I have read this book and it is very good. As the title mentions, it is a cut above traditional poetry in a style of its own.

A Prayer For Moore, Oklahoma (Poetry) - 5/21/2013 6:17:59 AM
Why would God do such a thing? The people of Moore were no more sinful than any other people as far as I know. I think we have to stop blaming God for vengeance on people and turning to God every time there is a disaster caused by the weather. We should get our priorities straight and help the people in need, not spend countless hours in prayer.

PASTORALE: By John W. Welsey (Poetry) - 3/24/2013 1:36:34 PM
A Great poem John W!
You helped me write a new poem too:
Sharing His Love
We like to share His word in a pharmacy or a grocery store.
We share while we wait on line for things. We never get bored!
When we sit down to eat in public praying is still OK these days.
Then we tell the server that we like to serve them as well and pray.
Most love that we will take time with them to pray and show we care.
For a life full of prayer is a blessing because Jesus is always near.
Amen

The Obama Bus (Poetry) - 2/16/2013 9:15:29 AM
Like Nelson Mandela's triumph over apartheid in South Africa, Barack Obama's presidency shows that we have come a long way from considering some people as, “property,” while others were considered, “privileged.” There is a groundswell of resentment against what Obama is proposing, but, like the groundswell of the Civil Rights Movement, its time has come and cannot be stopped. “Fairness” is the key word and equality for all must be achieved regardless of moneyed interests trying to keep the status quo with fear and loathing.

Who Still Cries for Nevaeh Buchanan (Poetry) - 5/24/2011 5:51:24 AM
All victims of murder left this world in vain. Nothing, not one thing we can do to change that. She is gone. There are so many Nevaeh's in this sorry-ass old world. Even if the despicable killer is caught, convicted, sentenced to life, or even electrocuted, Nevaeh will still have died in vein. Sorry. That is how I feel.
Who Still Cries for Nevaeh Buchanan (Poetry) - 5/24/2011 5:01:45 AM
Michael,
How very very sad that this happened to such a precious child of God. I hope they find who did this, lock him up and throw away the key. It takes a monster to hurt a child. They are defensless and not strong enough to defend themselves. Maybe that is why they are targeted. My God bless and keep our children safe from predators such as this.

Love Soars (Poetry) - 3/31/2011 10:44:26 AM
Wiser words have never been written !!!
You are SO right, Michael. Love has everything to do with it.
I admired all the people you mention (as if everyone shouldn't), but
Mahatma Gandhi, Rosa Parks, and MLK, Jr. are my biggest heroes.
Go back far enough, have to add Eleanor Roosevelt, Sojourner Truth,
and Abraham Lincoln.
All helped to make the world a better place.
Knew that only by loving one another can we achieve anything meaningful at all.
P e a c e!

Thanksgiving (Poetry) - 12/3/2010 9:56:12 AM
Michael this is truely a work of spiritual art. Just in reading the soul is uplifted as hope among the population is in dire need. Tis true that with God alive and well in our hearts and souls all is good and can never be taken. Yes, Thanksgiving is a day to give thanks to our Lord and remember all those who came before. A very humbling experience indeed as we gather with family and friends knowing God and Jesus will always be there to one day welcome us into the kingdom of heaven....

Nevaeh Buchanan (Poetry) - 2/2/2010 11:30:56 AM
Michael,
A heartbreaking and sad poem of a precious little angel of God. I always question how could anyone have so much meanness in his heart to do such a crime to a poor, innocent child. How can he sleep at night..how can he live with himself. I hope with all my heart they catch him, and justice will reign. God bless the family of Nevaeh, may God give them strength. As for Nevaaeh, she's in Jesus's arms.
Blessings+ and love,

Wow (Poetry) - 11/18/2009 6:44:31 AM
Michael,
God sends us all things, the rain, the birds. I have always loved morning glories. I remember them as a little child growing near our home, They always greeted me every morning as I went out to play. You take nothing for granted, my brother. You take in everything you hear and see and bind it in your heart. So many of us rush by and never hear the lovely birds or hear the roaring thunder, or see the colorful rainbow. Many are to busy, to stop and listen. As for me, I thank God for even the simpliest things, and I know you do too. Thank you for sharing this beautiful poetry.
Blessings always,
~Linda
There Is Something Wrong (Poetry) - 10/21/2009 5:13:11 AM
Michael,
This is a wonderful testimony on what God can do. He can reach down and lift you up, no sin is too big for God. No one can get so far down Jesus can't reach. I think the tallest man is one on his knees. Another outstanding poem from you!
Blessings, Peace n Love,
Sister Linda

Very inspiring. Thanks for sharing.
Katie Ryan Gave All (Poetry) - 9/30/2009 6:39:49 PM
Michael,
This poem touched my heart deeply. How very sad that her life was cut short, and by a senseless act that never should have happened. If only she could have gotten away from him, left him when he first started the abuse maybe she would be alive today. So many abused women are afraid to leave. I feel for them, and I feel for this brave Policewoman who worked to keep her town safe when she herself wasn't safe from her husband. I pray for her son, who must face life without his parents, the questions he must have. God bless and be with all the abused who face fear every day. Thank you for sharing this poem, its says volumes.
Blessings & Peace,
~Linda

This poem should be read by everyone. You know I also write for the kids, the down trodden of the world. I have tremendous compassion for the kids who suffer, for the poor, they all need our prayers. We should all count our blessings that God gives us daily for their are so many who suffer. God bless you for this poem, my brother in Christ.

Consider (Poetry) - 7/24/2009 3:04:41 PM
Michael,
I've always felt the BEST things in life are free. A smile, a hug, a warm handshake, giving of yourself. The Bible says love your neighbor as thyself. In these days an times there's neighbor against neighbor, brother against brother, if only we could all just get along. The Lord sees and He knows, He won't let it go on much longer. Another excellent poem as I've come to expect from you.
Peace, love an joy,

Vietnam (Poetry) - 5/21/2009 6:33:23 PM
No, as hard as we try we can never forget, so many good, lost men, lives cut short for no good reason and for those who returned, the wrath they were handed. For shame on all who refused to understand. You strike a nerve with this piece and bring back memories long set aside. Wishing you and your family a wonderful Memorial Day and thanks for all you have done and continue to do....
Be always safe,
Karen
Vietnam (Poetry) - 5/21/2009 11:16:19 AM
Michael,
Thank you, first of all, for your service - welcome home, soldier, welcome home. (((HUGS)))
(Made a promise years ago, to thank every Vietnam Veteran, because they didn't get the welcome home they so rightfully deserve - consider yourself thanked and hugged.)
Powerful poem and thank you, as well, for remembering WHY we remember those who gave all - well done.
(((HUGS))) and love, Karla. *salute*

The Creator's Hand (Poetry) - 4/8/2009 5:25:09 AM
Michael,
BEAUTIFUL! I too, love the snow and how the trees look with a blanket of white on them, I call it God's decoration. I also like to see the trees after an ice storm, the sun makes the ice sparkle on the trees, so majestic. Yes, the good Lord sends us such beautiful sights to behold, including the little sparrows. I love birds, especially the hummingbirds. I put out feeders every year for them.
Many blessings,

A Color Blind World (Poetry) - 3/30/2009 6:10:17 AM
You and I share the same fellings of living in a color blind world where love will be our sight. From one person to another will be a mirror of compassion and love. I love this poem for it is about a world that God intended and will be in a short time in the future. Be blessed and continue writing wonderful poems as this.

Hey Micheal, this is a great poem to one of the greatest singers ever.I love listening to Marvin Gaye.He was a deep brother who sung a lot about love and also problems. The song "What's going On" still is relevant today in terms of the type of world that we are living right now.Thank you for writing this poem.I enjoy reading it,take care

The Fallen Sparrow (Poetry) - 3/25/2009 10:22:22 PM
You have hit on two of my favortie themes, live cut short before it's time and the fact that "when a bird falls from the sky God notices." In Marvin Gaye we had both. God watched this songbird fall and scooped him up before he hit the ground.
Well written, Bobbi Duffy
The Fallen Sparrow (Poetry) - 3/23/2009 1:46:49 PM
