Wow...I like this piece especially because it embraces naturality and I am a natural sistah...usually sporting the 'fro, two puffs, or twists...so I really enjoyed this piece. But it is important not to insinuate that just because a sistah straightens her hair that she is any less down for the cause. I'm proud of what the Divine has blessed me with so I hardly wear much make-up either. At the same time, I don't think it's right denounce sistahs who choose not to express the nappy love that the Divine blessed them with (not to say that you were...just making a statement on that.). This poem is very inspirational and I love it to death. One.

Well, I must say this was very interesting read.
I also note that straight-haired people admire the ones with the natural curls, and the ones with natural curls admire the straight-haired people. This is quite obvious that we are never satisfied with ourselves the way we are.
