Inspired Children (Book) - 11/18/2009 1:02:27 AM
You don't need to corporally abuse a child, just treat hi/her with indifference as the child search for parent's intimacy. But yes, there are corporal abuse by beating the child because they can't control the rage against their own private frustrations. The child create barriers, walls, a secret world were he retreats, where he can talk, and smile, a world that he will defend with lies and explanations, and also becoming to an adulthood as a damaged goods. Children will ask God for help...and will not understand His silence. Georg

Wisdom and Advice From Oprah --Oprah In Her words--by Tuchy Palmieri (Book) - 10/7/2009 6:21:29 AM
I agree so strongly with the Golden rule you mentioned on your page. Dear Mr. Palmieri My Mother always said "treat others the way you want to be treated," and I've always lived by this. I've read the reviews for your book. I am a BIG fan of Oprah and am going to make my first purchase as a result of AuthorsDen. Thank you for the welcoming words when I first joined, I hope we can find friendship and I look forward to reading your work!! Take care and have a Blessed day! -Jessica L. Scaffidi-Fonti

The Common Sense of Drinking -- To drink Or Not To Drink (Book) - 9/16/2009 11:55:51 AM
Drinking and Driving is one of the most common ways to fatalities. A couple glass of wine with your dinner is OK, a couple of bottles aren't. A cold beer on the back porch on a hot summer afternoon is refreshing, but drinking cold beers until passing out isn't cool anymore. Man should be capable to stop drinking, smoking, eating and in general being a jerk blaming others or fate for his own inability. But, if the book can make just one man to stop drinking or at least calling a cab instead of driving under the influence...kudos to it! Georg

Relationship Recovery--- We all need it (Book) - 6/6/2009 3:42:10 PM

Relationship Recovery--- We all need it (Book) - 5/11/2009 6:10:40 PM
Relationship Recovery by Carl “Tuchy” Palmieri is an unconventional approach to repairing the damage that comes with broken relationships. The book is comprised of lists of the author’s personal revelations, affirmations derived from the 12 step recovery program, as well as a variety of quotes. The piece is to be used as a workbook and encourages readers to think deeply about their relationship problems. Palmieri includes poetry from a variety of writers including Erasmus, Saint Patrick and Reinhold Niebuhr author of the “Serenity Prayer.” In fact, Palmieri offers his own version of the prayer: “God grant me the serenity to accept the people I cannot change directly/The courage to change the person I can/The wisdom to know that person is me/And to leave the changes of others to God and them (72).” The author covers many components of relationships including emotional and physical intimacy, the impact of substance abuse, and the need to have a connection with a Higher Power. He also challenges the traditional perspective of what relationships should be and how individuals should exist in them: “Treat the other person in the relationship the way they want to be treated and not the way you want to be treated (11).” While Palmieri offers many nuggets of wisdom and guides the reader towards introspection, some parts of the book could have been stronger. There are several poems and quotes included that are attributed to an anonymous source or not at all. Also, the addition of an explanatory paragraph at the beginning of each of the lists of affirmations and instructions for completing the exercises would make this book more useful to readers just as the directive to read the “I am okay” list of affirmations daily was highly effective. In a world where troubled relationships are the norm, Relationship Recovery provides insight and jars accepted viewpoints.

Life Changers 13th Edition Author Harold Begbie republished by Tuchy paqlmi (Book) - 4/29/2009 3:57:12 AM
For the last part of the 1900, life got changed, but not in the way we have wished. Progress? yes, but the human factor, with those bad knacks, bended many souls. Also many of those souls needed a little push, because very little was changed to promote self-esteem, salvation or religion. That someone collected experiences to let know that help exist maybe is the first steep to help. Georg

An All In Policy-- An Emmet Fox Essay (Short Story) - 10/24/2009 1:36:03 AM
What my religion as done for me? Lets see...scrambled my brain? From one of His representatives the chronicle of a benign Father that no matter how I disappoint Him, he will always forgive, love, patiently wait for me to come around, giving comfort when I am in sorrow. From another of His representatives would I get a tirade of how guilty I am, how I need salvation from eternal Hell (created by the loving Father?) how I going to pay dearly for my sins like Judas did. To small boys, one was showing us a path of love and understanding that we should have been a bunch of morons not to take, but the other, the one thundering about dungeons, fire and eternal torture make us thing that somewhere, saying wrong! wasn't half of it. Wisecracker kids that we were, we could smell a con job, but we couldn't decided who was who. The first one, it was too good to be true or the second too off the walls to be even consider as everybody knows you can con a conman... Now, the sixty four thousand dollar question, "what religion did to me?" my brain's thoughts are as weird as they come. They taught us to become cynics (which isn't an excuse). Georg

The Awakening --for Men (Short Story) - 10/10/2009 12:59:32 AM
Oh maaaan! Here we go again, hitting a poor slob that was put together by a Mom! Our little man has not a chance when it comes to be the object of Mom vs Wife, but to survive he could become cunning, speculative and outright an emotional con man, which is the opposite of what "Cindirella" are looking for. In my humble opinion, man should throw away that blanket his mother put over his shoulders and reject any cardigan his other half wants he to wear and be ready to give and take. He then, will survive! Georg PS. apropos, have you read The man & the Woman yet?

The Awakening--- For women (Short Story) - 10/10/2009 12:42:01 AM
Women have a maternalistic gen that dominates sometimes their good senses, like don't accepting her man as he comes but trying to mold him into a preconceived model of "the man of my dreams" forgetting that relationships are a game of give and take. When one only takes, the other feels isolated and you know what happens next. On this time and age when women are wearing pants, they should also walk in the shoes of men and see that men first objective is not to change woman but to enjoy them! :-) Georg PS: apropos, read my very short story The Man & the Woman

An Open Letter To Star Jones (Short Story) - 9/18/2009 4:31:46 AM
I watch with interest what happens when overweight people begin to address their problem. I usually wonder what the underlying emotional issues are. When a person's weight is out of control, I wonder whether they are addressing all aspects of their lifestyle to achieve a balance. The American diet and lifestyle today tends toward what is convenient and fast over what is healthy for body and mind. People who are too stressed seem to have a greater tendency toward weight problems. Perhaps Ms Jones will enlighten us as to the full picture concerning her weight control choices. http://www.greatlakesromances.com

An Open Letter To Star Jones (Short Story) - 9/18/2009 12:13:39 AM
Oh my! so God was the one botching the job? or it is true that gluttony is the primary cause our rear end gets hamburgers and fries bigger and our "pregnant" stomachs hanging beer-bags? The problem, or not, of going the by-pass surgery path is that to maintain a healthy forage supply it will cost much more than hamburgs, fries and donuts (which are more tastier and cheaper than rabbit food) Star Jones will feel what is good or bad to Star Jones, everyone is different and I will not put my life at risk because the procedure did or didn't reach the expected results on another person. But that's just me. Georg

An Open Letter To Star Jones (Short Story) - 9/17/2009 12:16:09 PM
I personally think it causes more problems in the end, and people have died or have become worse off since having it. So I am totally against it; yet on the other hand, what are those who live with morbid obesity supposed to do? The question remains..... Well done! (((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Tx., Karen Lynn. :(

the snowflake and the prayer (Short Story) - 8/13/2009 3:27:48 PM
what a beautiful analogy this is! Praying with another person is very strengthening and encouraging; I wish I had more opportunities for united prayer. "Where 2 or 3 are gathered together in My name, there am I in the midst of them." Nothing like it. After reading this, I will think of snowflakes as prayers and remember your words. I agree with Joanna about the line she quoted. Connie

the original law of attraction -- By James Allen (Short Story) - 7/2/2009 7:16:22 AM
...and as man thinks...where's my purity, must have one or I had it all time along? ...and if I had not purity...how I go to wear one? or you must deserve it, or earn, perhaps inherit? Probable a book more full of questions than answers, a book to kick in gear the philosophical funny bones of anyone with a little piece of brain left. Kudos! Georg

An open letter to Kristie Alley (Short Story) - 5/16/2009 2:03:17 AM
Yes, the Docs many many times are wrong scaring the jeebezes of innocent people that thought they could tell what was wrong with them. For example, a very dear and long time friend was told by the good doctors that she had lymphatic-cancer and had two months to live at the most...that was 24 years ago and she is stronger than a oak and living with that l-c without bothers. But for a moment she was devastated with the idea of not seeing her sons grow up, or her grandchildren, or... Now she as experienced all of the above. Like the people that put their faith in God to help obesity, she told God that she was ready when he decided to call her. The call hasn't come yet. Georg

An Open Letter To Oprah- Oprah I know your pain (Short Story) - 5/13/2009 12:18:52 PM
I am happy you overcame your weight problem, Mr. Palmieri. You have given viable solutions to solving obesity issues. However being overweight, eating excessively, not dieting, etc. is the result of the problem, not the cause. Until Oprah deals with the cause of her problems, (the thing that is causing her unhappiness) she will continue placating herself with food. To herself ... she must be true. Respectfully, Reginald V. Johnson

An Open Letter To Oprah- Oprah I know your pain (Short Story) - 5/11/2009 4:05:59 PM
Hello Mr, Palmieri, Good article Mr. PalmieI moved to Florida in 1979. I'm six feet tall. I weighed 238 pounds of ugly lard in six month playing tennis. I played for thirty years and easily kept the weight off until recently. I'm 78 and my balance is poor so I had to quit the game. The point is that exercise is the fountain of youth. A bike is one good way. Tennis isn't for everyone. None of the time did I diet. My weight now is 195# (plus 12) Oprah with her money should be able get all kinds of help. Of course what you eat is a big factor. I still don't diet.

A Celebration of Life Josephine Palmieri born to Eternal Life with God (Short Story) - 4/3/2009 11:34:38 AM
Hello Carl, I want to express my sympathy for the loss of your mother, Josephine. She was blessed with a wonderful family. This writing touched my heart. I am glad that you posted this beautiful story in honor of your mother. You have created a vivid picture of your mother in this beautiful piece. Although I did not know her, I think that your writing has given me a very clear picture, or snapshot of her life. I know you will keep her memories alive and celebrate all of the beautiful things that your mother has given you which are devoted love, compassion, understanding, and above all things, she kept God at the center of her life. I am sorry for your loss, but I know you will keep her memories alive and carry on all of the things that she has taught you.

How a man Showed love to his woman (Short Story) - 12/23/2008 12:25:19 PM
Tuchy, how come you haven't written lately? Busy with book-writing? It is a blessing to read of a good, loving marriage, which your Mom and Dad must have had. The nursery must mean so much to her, not only for the joy of growing things, but as a symbol of her husband's devotion. I hope you have a joy-filled Christmas! Connie

the snowflake and the prayer (Short Story) - 8/16/2008 12:38:23 PM
Somehow, I missed this poem the last time that I was on your site. This is a beautiful poem. I love these words: "The snowflake is soft and fragile, yet in the right environment it gets strong and survives where we cannot."

God Has a Plan (Short Story) - 7/30/2008 10:15:18 PM
God has His plan. We need to forgettabout all the little small things that happen to us. God alows it to happen. Prayer is out telephone line with the real big Boss. Hey, Rome was not built in a day and God has all the time in the world. So enjoy the ride because in the end, God is always by your side. Amen

God Has a Plan (Short Story) - 6/2/2008 8:02:25 AM
The problem with that God's plan is that too many "experts" have trying to better His blue-print that, instead of follow His Ten Easy Steps, converted everything in an do-yourself IKEA with superticious screwdrivers and hammers of fear. Georg

God Has a Plan (Short Story) - 6/1/2008 11:03:36 AM
Like this passage, and prayer means a lot to me too. I know God answers according to his will and has made a plan for me in my life. He already knows where I am going and what I am. Thanks for this special write, the book will be great too.

the snowflake and the prayer (Short Story) - 5/19/2008 12:39:32 AM
The problem with your snow-flakes not getting together is perhaps caused by the global warming by the muslim extremism that praise themselves of praying five times a day and then go cominting atrocities.(They have devaluated the worth of the prayer) No wonder God isn't pleased with His children. LIFE AFTER DEATH (Short Story) - 4/23/2008 8:15:31 AM
The voices carry our spirits in this physical body. As what we speak of as "God" breathed life into a souless figure to create a living image of all that was and is "God" we have that nature, that relationship if we stay close to "God." Family is no different. Words are powerful, they never disappear and this is why history and story telling are so important. Should the stories because silented, the wisdom of the ancestors will also be silenced. Writers, poets, story tellers, historians, archeologist and the curious have to keep on seeking and telling the stories of the past. Growth is always uncomfortable from the inside out. Love your sharing this...thank you so much Carl. cynth'ya lewis reed

Serious dilemma unfolds at casinos (Article) - 11/21/2009 7:19:21 AM
I heard years ago that some of the South Dakota casinos were being silently backed by white investors who were then pocketing the funds. There is no end to that kind of takeover in this country, unfortunately. But the government has every right to step in, as the supposed 'guardians' of Indian interests. And where's Native American Rights Fund? Are they dropping the ball - again?

Serious dilemma unfolds at casinos (Article) - 11/21/2009 2:05:10 AM
White man screwing the natives? Where did we heard that before? Oh yes! in 1621 for starters and so on... Gambling is not new but thousand per cent gambling increasing tells of a society of foreclosures, layoffs, bills bills bills that cannot be paid, the hope of a little strip of paper with numbers or a roulette ball to make disappear all the "troubles" and then...the predators. Not only organized crime though, it started with the legalized organized crime of the banks that gambles, lost and got a bailout you and me can only dream (and with no strings attached, like no bonuses) America as gone from good people to naive to stupid, all in one sweep! Georg

Serious dilemma unfolds at casinos (Article) - 11/20/2009 11:12:42 AM

Very interesting article. I am not a betting man myself so I have no opinion on it's legality. However if organized crime is involved it is going to be illegal. It would be just like them to try to weasel out of paying taxes. GOD Bless Tony Mike Nerone

In Inside view- Congressman Mike Rogers (Article) - 10/8/2009 12:58:22 PM
Tuchy, after listening to Mr. Rodgers there comes a whiff from the past, a kind of Jimmy Stewart's "Mr. Smith Goes to Washington" from 1939. All that Mr. Rodgers said was solid reasoning, but the Health issue can't be fixed by the private sector, the same sector whose greed corrupted the health care paralleling its service to that of the pentagon suppliers of humble hammers at a 750 bucks a piece. Letting today, bending to pressure from the private sector is putting more foxes inside the hen's coop. We have seen the outrageous prices hospitals are dishing, we have seen how a insurance clerk can override a doctor, and we have seen how the pharmaceutical corporation are pushing exorbitant prices for vital medicines "you take them and impoverish yourself or, don't an you die" We need a fix, but not what the politicians recommend! Georg

A second open letter to Kirstie Alley making a good start (Article) - 10/8/2009 12:37:54 PM
Now, it is a choice, really. One looks like Goodyear's blimp or like a rail...we should ask the mirror on the wall and bite that poisoned apple which come with every yo-yo program = 2 pounds off...3 pounds gain. LOL Seriously, one must find the program that works for oneself and hold it no matter what, not if or when or how! Tuchy, you give great advice, hope they listen. Georg

Right Thinking- Recovery thoughts from the Book When Man listens (Article) - 10/2/2009 7:19:57 AM
Man, that arrogant creature that thought so high of himself that let it to be wrote, "...and God create man in His image..." Man should think, the right thoughts, because "man hasn't given God complete command, and his self-run life has been his troubles" (9/19/09) Remembering quasi profecys about 2012, comes to mind another, that of Nevil Shute in 1957 in his book On the Beach, when a middle-east country do obtain an Atom Bomb and use it on a neighbor country starting Armageddon and the end of man and all living creatures. Yes, man should start thinking before he has nothing to do it with. Georg

A few (Unknown) facts about Vitamins (Article) - 9/30/2009 10:06:39 AM
Europeans are more informative to their elderly than they do at home. We, the old guard take Omega3 and multi-vitamins from Fall to Spring, less flu, more vitality and less medicines for those lucky enough. I think we should give more information to the hamburger/hot-dog generation or they will have bone breaking old age, if they are lucky! Georg

Spiritual Tune Up Wisdom words From Sam's book The Genius of fellowship (Article) - 9/30/2009 12:14:03 AM
"The children of the second birth" should prepare themselves after inheriting the "treasures" from "The children of the first birth" that laboriously have been building an arrogant Babel Tower of misdid trying to reach God on they own terms. America's other drinking problem (Article) - 9/14/2009 9:48:43 AM
A few days ago I heard an interview on National Public Radio about high fructose corn syrup which is the "sugar" used in soft drinks. The expert said that in the U.S., farmers are paid to raise more corn than needed, then the corn is turned into high fructose corn syrup which is the cheapest sugar for the soft drink companies. The youth of the country then consume the high fructose corn syrup in soda pop until they become obese, creating a very expensive health issue for the nation. How's that for intelligent use of taxpayer dollars?

America's other drinking problem (Article) - 9/14/2009 2:48:35 AM
In Europe they have removed vending machines from all schools up to universities (soda and candy)in an effort to curve down the trend. To me, it was like closing the barn doors after there's no more horses. But, instead, they could give a massive information without that finger pointing or "I gonna put everybody to sleep" lectures. Tuchy, This is a powerful and well written work, and you are right:Reining in the thoughts so that they more clearly harmonize with what we truly want in life,is the most difficult of tasks. I have been working on my person for over fourteen years, and keeping my thoughts positive, amidst life's many twists and turns, is still my greatest challenge. I share your optimistic and true view point, and I am encouraged by it as well. To your continued success. Barbara Henry

Many writers have basically the same feelings and different ways of expressing their feelings, through him! It amazes me! but I look forward to what I gravitate to! I just ( Unless it didn't go in yet,I can't remember I've been writing so much through the vessel that I am, for him this morning and everyday I give my whole self to him and his words) but I wanted to say is: I wrote 1 or 2 poems, with messages from him, Jesus gave me the expressions to write them in less than 10 mints. I know it wasn't me... I hope you can come by, and read...em' WRITE ON! Warmest Blessings of Love and Peace, Warrior Purple Lady SHEExooo God Bless YOU and YOURS!
