The Sweetest Piano (Poetry) - 11/12/2013 7:05:05 AM
Beautifully penned and the picture is gorgeous!!!
The Sweetest Piano (Poetry) - 11/12/2013 6:01:56 AM
You can feel the breath of these words written, as vivid pictures paint the scenes. The music played by this instrument of love make it an out of body experience and tear at the strings of the soul. It is an addiction and harmonizes every sense of your being.
The picture brought my mind to a place in St Kitts a year ago, as I watched the sun going down on the beach. Hearing the waves, watching the sun change in its glory, and hearing the sounds of the ocean, was a visual symphony, creating a template of the heart.
'muy bueno' Amor..

Warnings from the Heart (Poetry) - 11/8/2013 12:42:02 PM
Our dreams tell just where we are in life, what we do NOT want and what we desire in our heart of hearts. I am afraid that many times our hearts over rule our minds sometimes hitting the perfect note and sometimes leading us astray, but in seeking love is it worth taking a risk for? That is a question that can only be answered by the heart of every individual. Soul rendering words, Amor. Joy

The Sweetest Piano (Poetry) - 11/8/2013 10:36:08 AM
I am such a fan of your writing! No one does romance and the exploration of the female mind and heart like you do. I not only hear and feel the duet of the piano, but feel it deep within my heart. "The color of my dreams become iridescent in the warm interaction when she starts to dance" is one of my favorite lines in your poem for it is often when dancing with another that the closeness between two people ignite a flame that must be quenched.
A romantic gem that will go to my favorites! Your golden quill writes of the longings of your heart, so openly and beautifully. Well done, Amor. I rate this with five stars. *****

Angels Retreat (Poetry) - 10/29/2013 9:41:31 AM
I was lured to this poem on angels, Amor. I love anything angel related. In devotion to the "Angles Among Us", my home has angels in every room, sometimes 4-5 in many rooms. This is my way to honor the role they play in the Heavenly realm. A truly beautiful post.

Crescent Smiles (Poetry) - 10/22/2013 11:45:15 AM
To smile is to light up a room with merry sunshine; to create memories not soon to be forgotten. May you see many such smiles in your lifetime, encouraging the memories of old and building upon new ones to put a smile on your face and give a lift to your heart. Wonderfully written!

Ecstasy Upon the edge (Poetry) - 10/18/2013 12:04:40 PM
Spellbinding writing, Amor. I found myself being transported into the spell of your heartfelt love and sadness as you awakened to the lonliness of walking upon the edge of a fantasy alone. Beautifully executed and penned. My heart was pierced with the memory of a lost love such as this. My fault, I'm afraid.

Scorpio Before the Dawn (tribute to Sheila Roy) (Poetry) - 10/15/2013 2:07:31 AM
Let me first apologize for not reading this sooner! Very sorry.
This is an amazing piece, and I am incredibly honored by your words! You have captured me/my writing more beautifully than I could have imagined. You highlight my passion, my curls, and my connection with nature, and you acknowledge a part of me that not everyone I meet/"know" is willing to acknowledge. I am more often called a liar or looked down upon when sharing that part of myself, so I truly appreciate how you paint that side of me in a natural and positive light. Thank you for this honor, my friend! Love and hugs,

Mistress of Temptation (Poetry) - 10/13/2013 1:48:35 PM
Poetry that can be called poetry because it truly is, Amor! This sets apart poetry of its kind and puts the Mistress of Temptation on a pedestal...sometimes the mistress is closer than we know...there are so many good lines here. This one I relate to in a most certain way
"I am tortured between the unblemished linen
that covered me in my walks in the garden
and the half-burned sheets of wanton desire
that my demons upon capture have reclaimed"
Mistress of Temptation (Poetry) - 10/10/2013 9:50:01 AM

Mistress of Temptation (Poetry) - 10/8/2013 10:49:29 AM
This weaved a powerful spell where I almost wished I didn't feel so at home.
And certain moments of this stung so sweet.
This will linger like the perfume- and that was a big moment.
Mistress of Temptation (Poetry) - 10/8/2013 9:34:19 AM
You are long of pen, like slow foreplay, leading to the final climatic conclusion… the last line. So masterly you have chosen your words to convey the mystery of waking from a wet dream into consciousness seemed that the object of your affection is right before you.
Thankfully, I have that feeling often.
Mistress of Temptation (Poetry) - 10/8/2013 8:44:15 AM

Crescent Smiles (Poetry) - 7/25/2013 3:36:27 PM
Timeless poetry, Amor...it's like a revival today here on the den and I welcome everyone back...such great poetry fills the void! This is the line that does it for me. You've got the magic still, and always!
"Or an intrepid wink that links the ancient moon and stars"
Crescent Smiles (Poetry) - 7/25/2013 9:30:53 AM
A smile that blends with the elements as well as with the reader's imagination. I like the way this flows... refreshing.
Crescent Smiles (Poetry) - 7/25/2013 8:07:29 AM

Crescent Smiles (Poetry) - 7/25/2013 4:42:50 AM
She must be a beauty to have a wink that links the moon and stars with sweet sounds from heaven. My, my!
Crescent Smiles (Poetry) - 7/25/2013 4:01:16 AM
This is very good. Naw, it is excellent, Amor. Magical words flowed from your pen, or rather from your keyboard.

life has it's fleeting moments, a poem this beautiful lasts forever.
Ecstasy Upon the edge (Poetry) - 5/13/2013 7:19:49 AM
Amor this is such a thing of bittersweet beauty. Deeply emotive and deeply heartfelt. One of the most beautiful and affecting poems I've ever read.
Ecstasy Upon the edge (Poetry) - 5/12/2013 4:31:09 PM
Lament is what comes to my mind Amor. Beautiful, sad, an awakening, and yet, ecstasy upon the edge. Our lives are all about the climax of all things, bonding, sports, writing, life challenges, food, nature, religion..etc..etc. This one made me think about many things. I have found in my aloneness I have done great things pushed to that edge!
All consuming my friend!
Ecstasy Upon the edge (Poetry) - 5/12/2013 5:18:45 AM
This is beautiful and sad. Your writing is superb.
Ecstasy Upon the edge (Poetry) - 5/11/2013 11:43:32 PM
Powerful expression of the deep spiritual longing,
emotional hollow void and an inexplicable emptiness
that...lost love creates.
Great poem, Amor. Felt in chest...heart.
With warm regards Isabella.
Ecstasy Upon the edge (Poetry) - 5/11/2013 9:14:02 PM

Ecstasy Upon the edge (Poetry) - 5/11/2013 11:12:07 AM
The oft quoted argument, "anticipation is greater than reality" is put to the test here in what for me is a truly heartfelt and painful mirroring of something that was and that which still might be. Beautifully uttered, void of simplistic lost love rhetoric.
Ecstasy Upon the edge (Poetry) - 5/11/2013 5:39:15 AM
So many have known having love and then finding out how it feels when it's gone. It hurts. As you say, "to be fractured when once we were whole".
Ecstasy Upon the edge (Poetry) - 5/11/2013 2:23:24 AM
Much here to savor, much to be saddened by. Tasting love and its sublime feelings only to have it whisked away, to leave us empty and wanting is a sad occurrence that most of us can relate to . . .

good to see you around....well done! would expect nothing less ;) I can envision a row of tears. ~ Morgan
In Synthasia's Eye (Poetry) - 3/21/2013 8:22:07 AM
Something exotic, something mystical, something metaphysical in the physicality of this exotic write permeates and suffuses the imagery and the ideology created by these four stanzas: may the invisible not liberate as easily as it ensnares? or maybe the inversion, layer upon layer, subverts itself in an essence that ultimately transcends "hallowed ground" to attain an apotheosis whose allure even Synthasia cannot resist. Food for the god of thought, is it not?
Wonderfully wrought poem, Amor.
Gardenia Mornings (Poetry) - 3/21/2013 3:52:32 AM

In Synthasia's Eye (Poetry) - 3/20/2013 8:26:54 AM
I agree with John Flanagan, Amor, that this is "writing of a higher order." My first impression for the feel of this writing was the word "abyss," as in bottomless...not as in abysmal. Depth and charge of energy in dark and light colors: "....moon/a thin line between yesterday and today,"..aching dream,"and gravity equated to too much ventured." The yellow highlight for me is the line: "emerging on the opposite side of heaven." Wonderous writing! ~~ Diana
Gardenia Mornings (Poetry) - 3/19/2013 9:15:00 AM
Oh, Amor! This is m e s m e r i z i n g. So like the startlingly sensuous and impossible to describe scent of a gardenia. Glows like one! Not that I am telling you anything, but it is also very much in keeping with the fading line between poetry, prose poetry, and 'sudden' or 'flash' fiction. Fiction may not fit. Reads like mini-memoir.:)
Love the passion that comes through and the fluidity(for lack of a better term).
Thank you, my friend, thank you.

It's good to read you again. Synthasia sounds like a lost love that didn't understand the inner poet in you. But then, she may be a metaphor for something entirely different I haven't discerned yet.
In Synthasia's Eye (Poetry) - 3/11/2013 9:44:32 AM

as the years pass (Poetry) - 1/4/2013 8:55:14 AM
Unpardon me but I relent it boldly;
For it is far ahead, if I can be sure of it,
And far it is, that my hallucination be valid,
And hallucination it is, as it should be,
And however, unlike itself, mysterious, unknown, and untested,
So it be foreseen in my tireless search.
as the years pass (Poetry) - 1/2/2013 9:01:42 AM

Waiting (Poetry) - 10/16/2012 7:41:42 AM
Excellent questions, those that we are or should be asking ourselves.
I see the date on this is March... I wondered how I missed such a gem then it occurred to me - I've had my head in the coal mine for too many months now.
Gardenia Mornings (Poetry) - 10/16/2012 7:35:50 AM
Absolutely beautiful remembrance portrayed. Maybe so special to me for the gardenia, my favorite flower.

Wonderful energy and presence.
Gardenia Mornings (Poetry) - 9/30/2012 12:29:34 PM
... like one, long, lovely exhalation of love and consciousness before taking in the next wonderful breath of the gardenia's enduring scent and spirit-laden, memory-filled fragrance. I think our olfactory sense is the most acute when it comes to recreating images of people, time and place. Fabulously flowing and yet tightly controlled writing that is wrought from a profound well and life-spring of experience and longing. Just beautiful, Amor! xx

Angels Retreat (Poetry) - 8/26/2012 12:01:31 PM
I LOVE THIS WORK, AMOR...THE IMAGERY IS JUST FANTASTIC! THE UNIQUENESS OF THIS WORK IS WONDERFUL, HOWEVER, THE 'ANGELS' ARE JUST A LITTLE 'TOO' HUMAN FOR ME THOUGH. I MEAN, IF I DIDN'T KNOW BETTER, I'D FEEL SORRY FOR THEM. I RECENTLY TOOK A BOOK FROM MY BOOK CASE AND READ IT. IT WAS ENTITLED, 'A SIMPLE PATH'. A BOOK FOCUSING ON THE WORK OF MOTHER THERESA IN INDIA. WHEN I READ YOUR WORK, I THOUGHT OF HOW YOUR DESCRIPTION OF ANGELS FIT HER TO A 'T'. A PERFECT PORTRAIT OF THIS TRUE 'ANGEL'... ON EARTH...MOTHER THERESA. SHE WORKED SURROUNDED BY THOSE RACKED WITH PAIN. PAIN THAT WE KNOW SHE MUST HAVE FELT EMOTIONALLY BUT SHE PUT THEIR NEEDS ABOVE HERS BECAUSE SHE WANTED TO MAKE THEIR TRANSITION FROM EARTH TO HEAVEN EASIER. IT WAS HER CALLING, SHE DID WHAT GOD WANTED HER TO DO. SHE WORKED WITH A HEART FULL OF DEEP CONCERN FOR THE SICK AND DYING THAT SHE ATTENDED. SHE WORKED UNTIL THE VERY END, WHEN SHE COULDN'T WORK ANYMORE. SHE REFUSED TO CHANGE HER 'STAND', HER MODE OF GIVING, HER HUMILITY... WHEN IT CAME TO 'SERVICE'. A FAMOUS QUOTE COMES TO MIND AND I HAVE CHANGED IT A LITTLE, BUT IT STILL FITS HER PERFECTLY; 'OLD EARTHLY ANGELS NEVER DIE...THEY JUST FADE AWAY'. HEAVENLY ANGELS NEVER DIE BUT NEITHER DO THEY FADE AWAY. THIS IS A MARVELOUS WORK OF FANTASY, PRESENTED IN A MOST BELIEVEABLE WAY AND I ENJOYED IT. THANKS FOR SHARING. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...

AND OF COURSE, THIS HAPPENS SO OFTEN...TWO PEOPLE FIND THEMSELVES NO LONGER IN LOVE WITH ONE ANOTHER AND THEY HAVE TO THINK BACK, THEY HAVE TO WONDER...WHEN DID IT HAPPEN? WHEN DID WE FALL OUT OF LOVE...??!! GREAT WORK AND ENJOYED, AMOR. THANKS FOR SHARING. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...
