A dog is man's best friend (Short Story) - 9/24/2012 4:45:32 AM
Dogs truly are man's best friend, and they ask for so little in return for their friendship. And I agree, more nursing homes should allow pets and even have their own resident pets. The nursing home my aunt lived in had two extremely loyal resident dogs who visited all the residents on a daily basis and who alerted nursing home staff when anyone living there had any kind of problem.

Lois - In reading your story memories are conjured up from my childhood that parallel what you describe. My heart warms as I remember those days I refer to as 'poverty days'and I vividly see in my mind's eye those who have gone on to be with Jesus. Thank you for for the revival of these memories. A well written piece and a good read. Thank you. Marion Dollar
