Life is a trebling sentience to sing (Article) - 2/6/2013 10:48:53 PM
Yes, this IS just one sentence. However, unlike most run-on sentences this one is not a bunch of boring babble. Very creative way with words! Bravo! John Michael Domino

Life is a trebling sentience to sing (Article) - 12/30/2011 8:01:31 AM
ROG ... WOW! The Absolute, Longest 'RUN ON SENTENCE" I Ever Seen in my 71-year-old Life! Unless I mis-counted, 204 purposely concocted, continuous Words ... A veritable Cacophony of contiguous condescending non-conformance, veritably Waving a Red Flag in the ugly face of Grammatical 'Rule Making' ! A Cachet in all 5 senses of the word ... a Cache of the 'Time-Space Continuum'! I HUMBLY BOW IN AWE! You, my Friend, are a true 'Wordsmith'! My previously 'thought of' my vast knowledge and vocabulary has been instantly relegated to that of a Wee Tot in KINDERGARTEN !!! Bravo! Kudos! I feel truly honored that such a 'Beautiful Mind' (perhaps just a tad Warped that it may be - said tongue-in-cheek, no less) - has so recently paid me homage! I now TRACK you! Will peruse more of your Witty 'Pearls of Wisdom' when time allows! A Happy & Healthy New Year to You & Yours! Tom.

FACT 58: Contemplative Cynthia (Poetry) - 5/17/2013 6:42:48 AM
As always, you weave an incomparable tapestry of color and cross hatching of emotions. I particularly appreciate "...love unmade in messy motion tossed..." Few words suggesting volumes of insight.

FACT 57: Cynthia Speaks of a Foreign Tongue (Poetry) - 5/15/2013 4:28:32 PM
Such is the triangle.. who to spike from the heap in a game of two against one Lady Vivian

FACT 57: Cynthia Speaks of a Foreign Tongue (Poetry) - 5/13/2013 10:46:00 AM
Hmmmm.... seems I have missed much in this Epic, Roger! :) I said many episodes ago about the co-dependencies of 3; seems like the dynamic has shifted but, like a three-legged stool, each can't quite exist and find stability without the various interactions of the other two. It's a game for psychotics in which the game is everything and 'true love' goes out the window. How this lady loves her 'rare and arcane' embroidery!! Cross-stitch away, Cynthia dear... :)) !! xx

FACT 57: Cynthia Speaks of a Foreign Tongue (Poetry) - 5/12/2013 11:28:19 AM

FACT 56: A Romantic Encounter (Poetry) - 5/3/2013 7:41:28 AM
As always, the nature of your work allows the reader to find both reality and surreal allegory to meditate on. Several key phrases arrested my reading: "Pending heart beats on through all of the wile" and "Though why is but a dream, the question stands" These connections afford so much to contemplate. Thank you.

FACT 55: Cynthia’s Surprise Turn! (Poetry) - 5/2/2013 5:32:26 AM
I MOURN FOR CYNTHIA...MY HEART IS BREAKING FOR HER. SHE HAS ALLOWED FELICITY TO UNDERMINE HER GENUINENESS...WHO SHE IS AS A WOMAN! HAS CYNTHIA LOST HER ABILITY TO REASON???! FELICITY IS NOT A PRESENT OF TODD'S FORMER LIES...SHE 'IS' TODD'S FORMER LIE! AND SOMETHING ELSE; 'DESPISE' IS A STRONG WORD. I MEAN, I DON'T BELIEVE CYNTHIA EVER 'DESPISED' FELICITY...SHE DIDN'T LIKE HER AS A PERSON, BUT FOR VERY GOOD REASONS! FELICITY IS NOT A NICE PERSON, SHE WASN'T WHEN SHE TOOK TODD AND SHE ISN'T NOW. HOW DO I KNOW THIS? FELICITY'S ACTIONS SPEAKS FOR ITSELF. BECAUSE, I KNOW IF EVERYTHING HAD WORKED OUT AS FELICITY WANTED THEM TO BETWEEN HER AND TODD, BELIEVE ME FELICITY WOULD NOT BE IN CYNTHIA'S FACE NOW. HOW CAN CYNTHIA BE SO BLIND AND NOT SEE THIS???!!! TO BE TAKEN IN BY FELICITY'S MANIPULATIVE FORKED TONGUE IS SO SAD. HAS CYNTHIA FORGOTTEN THAT IT IS THE SAME TONGUE THAT SPOKE MEAN AND CRUEL THINGS TO HER??? NOW FELICITY COMES WAVING HER FAKE 'SOLIDARITY' BANNER AND CYNTHIA BELIEVES HER??!! I DON'T KNOW WHAT ELSE TO SAY EXCEPT...POOR, POOR CYNTHIA. I WEEP FOR HER...I MOURN FOR HER. THANKS FOR SHARING. LOVE, BLESSINGS & FAITH... JOYCE * HIS INSPIRATIONS

FACT 54: Felicity Visits Cynthia (Poetry) - 5/2/2013 4:52:11 AM
BEFORE I BEGIN MY DISCOURSE I HAVE ONE QUESTION; WOULD FELICITY HAVE BEEN AT CYNTHIA'S DOOR RIGHT NOW 'IF' EVERYTHING WAS JUST 'PEACHES' BETWEEN HER AND TODD? LET'S GET REAL! IF EVERYTHING HAD WORKED OUT JUST FINE BETWEEN FELICITY & TODD, CYNTHIA WOULD BE THE LAST PERSON ON HER MIND RIGHT NOW. AND FOR THIS REASON...I DON'T LIKE THIS PERSON...I REALLY DON'T LIKE FELICITY. I DON'T LIKE HER PRESUMING THAT SHE AND CYNTHIA COULD EVER BE ANYTHING MORE THAN WHAT THEY ARE; TWO WOMEN WHO HAVE HAD THE SAME MAN IN THEIR LIFE...AND ISN'T THE WORLD FULL OF THEM? YOU SEE, ITS THE WAY THAT SHE MADE HERSELF KNOWN TO CYNTHIA THAT MAKES CYNTHIA NOT LIKE HER. SHE INTRODUCED HERSELF TO CYNTHIA IN A VERY 'PAINFUL' AND 'HATEFUL' WAY AND NOW SHE PRESUMES(FOR OBVIOUSLY PURELY SELFISH REASONS-SHE'S ALONE...TSK, TSK, TSK) THAT CYNTHIA AND HER HAVE SOME 'CONNECTION'. SHE WANTS TO BECOME 'CLOSE' JUST BECAUSE CYNTHIA WAS STUPID ENOUGH TO LOVE TODD AND FELICITY WAS STUPID ENOUGH TO TAKE HIM? IT AMAZES ME HOW FELICITY PRESUMES THAT THE USE OF THE PRONOUNS 'OUR', 'WE', 'US'...MAKES EVERYTHING SHE HAS DONE...RIGHT. WHAT SHE DOESN'T UNDERSTAND IS THAT FELICITY AND TODD ARE ONE IN THE SAME TO CYNTHIA. FELICITY IS LOOKING TO SET UP HER 'SOCIAL CLUB' FOR 'THE DISCARDED' IN THE WRONG PLACE BECAUSE CYNTHIA DOESN'T LIKE HER(I HOPE, I HOPE, I HOPE-SMILE)...OR TODD. THANKS FOR THE SHARE, ROGER. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH... JOYCE * HIS INSPIRATIONS

FACT 55: Cynthia’s Surprise Turn! (Poetry) - 4/21/2013 10:51:59 AM
Many tributaries given to the reader, choices that lead in quite different directions, even as the flow of words, like the ethereal nature of the piece, transcend one's sense of gravity, rising upwards paradoxically with their downward sense of grounding. For without the grounding of "Word-frames"enticing, there might not be the epiphany inherent...regardless of the rivulet ventures. Ultimately, all become confluent when "despise" embraces acceptance.

FACT 55: Cynthia’s Surprise Turn! (Poetry) - 4/18/2013 12:42:17 PM
Lost in thoughts a reckoning indeed for Cynthia..when she awakens to Felicity's senses, what then? Lady Vivian

FACT 54: Felicity Visits Cynthia (Poetry) - 4/8/2013 3:00:26 PM
A path not known if big enough for both, but to travel in curiosity .. perhaps towards their own trespassers end Lady Vivian

FACT 54: Felicity Visits Cynthia (Poetry) - 4/7/2013 9:59:07 AM
.Odin: Intriguing commentary as always, Odin... my final line contains the word "end" with its intentional ambiguity in terms of a double meaning -- both 'concluding phase' and 'purpose': so I guess your response aims towards a possible interpretation: Our purpose is to terminate imaginary emotional debts... at least that is one interpretation... I welcome more, as I welcome more comments from those still following this saga.

FACT 54: Felicity Visits Cynthia (Poetry) - 4/6/2013 4:16:05 PM
Oh, how rampant spreads the emotional ooze two entities so often create, yet remain without conscious concern for each other. Even the graphic entropy of two paintings have this enmity (until it's resolved as synergism absent rivalry). Your "fictional park" is a wonderful analogy of like situations with humans. Your last line, however, gave me pause I wasn't sure was warranted. Might my interpretation, somewhat removed from the words you chose, be valid? "Our beginning proceeds only after killing debts neither owes." ?????

FACT 54: Felicity Visits Cynthia (Poetry) - 4/4/2013 4:14:20 PM
An interesting piece, my friend. Sounds like it could lead to 1 or 2 of several closely related destinations. Well done.

FACT 53: Cynthia Says ‘Not so Fast.’ (Poetry) - 3/27/2013 1:30:07 PM
EXACTLY! THE AUDACITY OF HIM TO SPEAK OF SOMETHING HE KNOWS NOTHING ABOUT. TODD KNOWS NOTHING ABOUT PRIDE...OR...LOVE AND A WOMAN! THANKS FOR SHARING. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...JOYCE * HIS INSPIRATIONS.

FACT 52: Todd Repents of having Relented (Poetry) - 3/27/2013 1:21:03 PM
HE IS NOT IN LOVE'S PRISON...HE'S IN REJECTIONS PRISON. THE ONLY REASON HE IS PINING FOR CYNTHIA IS BECAUSE SHE NO LONGER WANTS HIM AND TODD CANNOT SAY HE WILL BE TRUE BECAUSE HE WON'T BE TRUE. AND OBVIOUSLY HE HAS SO MUCH TO DISCOVER...HE DOESN'T EVEN KNOW THAT WHEN A WOMAN IS TRULY IN LOVE, SHE HAS NO PRIDE. HE DOESN'T REALIZE THAT HE IS POSSIBLY IN THE BEST POSITION HE COULD EVER BE IN LIFE...STARTING OVER WITHOUT ANY ATTACHMENTS CAN BENEFICIAL 'IF' HE AVOIDS MAKING THE SAME MISTAKES IN FUTURE RELATIONSHIPS. FACT 50: Todd Relents: A Sadder but a Wiser Man (Poetry) - 3/27/2013 12:59:42 PM
WE LEARN THAT ONCE MILK IS SPILT...ITS GONE. BUT I'M THINKING THAT TODD NEEDS TO DO EXACTLY WHAT HE HAS DECIDED TO DO BECAUSE HE REALLY HAS TO FIND HIMSELF AND TAKE A GOOD HARD LOOK AT THE MAN IN THE MIRROR. ALL THINGS HAPPEN FOR A REASON AND I HOPE THAT THIS LESSON WILL MOLD HIM INTO THE MAN HE NEEDS TO BE. WELL DONE, ROGER. THANKS FOR SHARING. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...JOYCE * HIS INSPIRATIONS

FACT 53: Cynthia Says ‘Not so Fast.’ (Poetry) - 3/25/2013 6:56:31 AM
A succinct and historically proven theory of love. But of course, all "object" driven love, as opposed to the state of love, exposes itself to suffering, given attachment inevitably places strain on the two enjoined elements. But, I digress from addressing the piece directly. The tenuous nature of "pride" is perhaps the most volatile aspect of trust, and especially, as your poem's subtext implies, the forces at work to keep our minds and hearts "adolescent" are never at rest. Well done, as usual.

FACT 53: Cynthia Says ‘Not so Fast.’ (Poetry) - 3/23/2013 7:37:55 AM

Some eminently wise observations and proffers here that far too few will read and contemplate...this as themselves.

FACT 52: Todd Repents of having Relented (Poetry) - 3/12/2013 1:52:36 PM
Mary Ann: although speaking collectively, Todd is more pointedly using the 'royal we' in reference/deference to the current object of his affection--namely, Cynthia... so it is her pride he desires to see shelved, so she can get past it and allow him to return to her. Roger

BREATHE...CYNTHIA, BREATHE...AND SAIL ON! WITH ALL THE LESSONS OF YOUR PAST...BUILDING GOLDEN BRIDGES THAT ARE LINED WITH WISDOM, ASSURANCE AND THE PROMISE OF A 'GREATER' LOVE. I AM ESTATIC, ROGER! IT WAS ALMOST UNBEARABLE TO THINK OF CYNTHIA IN A SITUATION WHERE SHE WOULD EXPERIENCE THE PAIN OF HAVING TO REMEMBER CONSTANTLY HOW SHE USED TO LOVE THIS MAN THAT SHE NO LONGER LOVES IN THE SAME WAY. TO BE IN A RELATIONSHIP THAT IS FAR MORE EMOTIONALLY NEGATIVE THAN PRODUCTIVE WOULD BE PURE TORTURE...FOR ANYONE. I AM HEARING THAT WONDERFUL, TIMELESS SONG...'I WISH YOU LOVE'. DO YOU REMEMBER IT? OH, I'M SURE YOU DO. L-U-V-I-N-G THIS!!! THANKS FOR SHARING. LOVE, BLESSINGS & FAITH...JOYCE * HIS INSPIRATIONS

FACT 49: Cynthia Will Have None of It (Poetry) - 2/14/2013 10:00:22 AM
An insightful exploration of the gender wars that rage with both sexes, a determinate gene influencing all, but given attention by few. Would that more would seek out the wisdom of the older and hopefully more experienced adventurers, there would undoubtedly be less heartache. Still, as your excerpt portrays, there is choice: one either becomes wise, or perishes.

I AM DISAPPOINTED IN CYNTHIA, BUT WHEN ONE STILL LOVES SOMEONE...THEY WILL GIVE THEM ANOTHER CHANCE. I AM SINCERELY HOPING THAT TODD REALIZES IT WILL TAKE MUCH TIME TO REBUILD THE TRUST THAT HE DESTROYED. BUT BECAUSE HE IS WHO HE IS...A SELFISH INDIVIDUAL WHO ONLY CARES ABOUT DOING WHAT PLEASES HIM(LETS NO IGNORE THAT FACT THAT HE IS LEAVING A WOMAN BEHIND & WHETHER SHE IS GOOD OR BAD, HE LED HER ON AND NOW HE IS TOSSING HER TO THE WIND)...I STRONGLY DOUBT THAT HE WILL BE ABLE OR WILLING TO WHEATHER THE RESENTMENT AND NASTINESS THAT 'WILL' EXUDE FROM CYNTHIA IN HER 'FLASH BACK' MOMENTS. AT THIS POINT MY MIND IS SCREAMING...WHERE IN THE WORLD IS FELICITY???!!! MOVE IN! STEP UP! PREVENT, STOP! DO SOMETHING!!!! KNOWING HOW FICKEL TODD IS, IT WON'T TAKE MUCH! Whether Todd's Manned flight is of permanent solidarity, its mention gives this spacious exhortation of what seems imminent sorrow a sense of there might be other answers. One could interpret this excerpt as a calamitous preview of emotion's most feared enemy: finality. Like so many perceptions of "end all" exultations, this arrival seems worthy of serious examination. Perhaps that is the point of Todd's sustainment of actively in pursuit of a "landing." At least a partial answer is suggested here. Another enjoyable challenge to a reader's own imagination. Thank you.

Taking both together leaves me having visited your page with wonder and leaving with insight; thank you both. All the sorrow of the Amazon felled is in Felicity's pining words, it seems to me; there's an epic greatness to her ransacking. Wishing you endless green shoots in 2013! :)) xx

FACT 45: Felicity Wonders While Todd Wanders (Poetry) - 12/30/2012 5:17:47 PM
For me, a reader who takes these "Fact" number postings as pieces total unto themselves, find the complexity of this heart/mind conundrum for your heroines, Cynthia and Felicity, invigorating even beyond what most of your Fact postings generate. There is such potency in the opening line. There is something so topical about "indeterminate endings are all the rage" as some of us are asked to wade through such inane sob stories, be they political, domestic or business. The "lonesome sound" reference in the 2nd line is such a poignant metaphor for the alive nature of existence amid the glorification of decay, i.e., societal indulgence in the mistake-making-nature of us all that some would have us believe, and the rehab glory that is made front and center of "story at 11." Here, the depth of the word choice, e.g., "green" as opposed to rendering the line without such an important adjective, impacts the reader with a jolt. Later, the "heart once was true to one so false" depicts the pandemic dis-ease of love's duplicitous nature today for far too many uneducated, inexperienced, or just plain ignorant people. "...where the green forest clears to field, yes there, where the end its purpose may yield" provides a hope, a non-religious faith in the rightfulness of nature, the perfection of pain and joy we all can embrace or try and field...not knowing to field is to merely start the cycle over. "We create our own reality, our own lessons, and we repeat and repeat until we learn." Such is the essence of this little paragraphical gem.

I DON'T LIKE TODD'S ATTITUDE, WHICH IS; WE ALL MAKES MISTAKES, LETS CHALK THIS WHOLE EPISODE UP TO FATE AND PERHAPS ITS STILL NOT TOO LATE US! MY, MY...HOW SURE HE IS OF HIMSELF! IF CYNTHIA HAS A OUNCE OF WISDOM LEFT SHE WILL SEE THAT ALTHOUGH IT MAY NOT BE TOO LATE AS FAR AS HE CAN SEE. FOR HER, IT IS, CERTAINLY, WAY TOO LATE! IM OUT OF HERE AND I DO LOVE THESE WONDERFUL CONTINUING 'EPISODES' OF YOURS. DONE WELL. BUT I DID TELL YOU THAT BEFORE DIDN'T I? THANKS FOR SHARING. FELICITY WAS MAKING THE MISTAKE OF TRYING TO BE A LADY...WHEN ROGER REALLY DOESN'T WANT ONE. SHE FORGOT THAT HE LEFT THE LADY BEHIND. SO, IT SEEMS CYNTHIA HAS LOST HER BEARINGS ALL TOGETHER IS NOW TRYING TO BE SOMETHING SHE IS NOT...A HARLOT. POOR CYNTHIA, BUT THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN ONE HASN'T REALLY STOP LOVING ANOTHER. TODD CAN GO BACK BECAUSE SHE STILL LOVES HIM...ALTHOUGH I DON'T KNOW WHAT HE IS ANYMORE. HE'S CERTAINLY NOT A MAN AND LOWER THAN A SCOUNDREL. GOD HELP CYNTHIA BECAUSE TODD 'WILL' DO IT AGAIN. THANKS FOR SHARING. AND IF YOU NOTE, I CHANGED THIS BECAUSE I MISTAKINGLY THOUGH THE TITLE WAS...'FELICITY WAXES FRIVOLOUS'. I GUESS IT WAS BECAUSE, REALLY...ITS SO UNBELIEVABLE THAT CYNTHIA WOULD BE SO 'STUPID'. AND, AT THIS MOMENT, I CAN'T FIND A BETTER WORD, REALLY. THANKS FOR SHARING. NO MATTER HOW HIGH THE WAVES MAY BE NOR HOW TURBULENT THE WATERS...A BOAT MUST 'STAY ITS COURSE' TO REACH ITS DESIRED DESTINATION AND ANY MAN KNOWS THIS. HE IS STILL A BOY LOOKING AND SEARCHING FOR TRUE LOVE AND I FEEL THIS WAY BECAUSE HE IS NOW SAYING THAT HE IS NO LONGER IN LOVE WITH FELICITY. OBVIOUSLY, HE NEVER LOVED CYNTHIA OR FELICITY. HE NEEDS TO LEAVE THEM BOTH ALONE AND GO ON ABOUT HIS BUSINESS OF BREAKING HEARTS UNTIL HE FINDS HIS TRUE LOVE...AND WHEN HE FINDS HER, HE WILL KNOW. I'M OFF TO THE NEXT ONE. THANKS FOR SHARING. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...JOYCE * HIS INSPIRATIONS

FACT 41: Felicity Plots a Sequel (Poetry) - 12/25/2012 2:57:05 PM
POOR TODD...A BOY IN A MAN'S BODY. I HOPE FELICITY'S CHALLENGES CAN MAKE HIM STAND UP AND BE A MAN. AND THOUGH I HAVE NO PITY FOR EITHER ONE OF THEM, IT IS NOW VERY CLEAR THAT THEY DO 'NEED' ONE ANOTHER; THE LITTLE BOY WITH ALL THE SELF INFLICTED SORES AND SCRATCHES AND THE LITTLE GIRL WITH SO MANY BAND AIDS. WHICH IS BETTER? THE ANTEDOTE...OR THE CURE? THANKS FOR SHARING. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...JOYCE*HIS INSPIRATIONS. I'M OFF TO THE NEXT.

FACT 40: Cynthia’s Fresh Overture (Poetry) - 12/25/2012 2:47:31 PM
TODD HAS NOT REGAINED A SENSE OF DIRECTION...HE HAS GROWN TIRED OF FELICITY JUST LIKE HE GREW TIRED OF CYNTHIA. I CANNOT RELATE TO CYNTHIA'S FEELINGS AT ALL. OF COURSE, TODD IS FORGIVEN BUT HOW CAN SHE TRUST HIM WHEN HE IS NOW CONTEMPLATING DOING TO FELICITY WHAT HE DID TO HER? FORGIVING IS ONE THING, BUT TRUSTING IS AN ENTIRELY DIFFERENT THING. TODD IS PROVING THAT HE CANNOT BE TRUSTED AT ALL. I LIKE YOUR METAPHORS. THANKS FOR SHARING. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...JOYCE * HIS INSPIRATIONS

An Ideal Trilogy (Poetry) - 12/23/2012 10:42:15 AM
Taking the summation lines of the three stanzas delivers an undeniable introspective challenge. Could...are...will. Choices. Yet, most choices are not free choices, as they derive their direction from how well we've taken in our many experiences. The ideal? Accepting reality isn't always "out there." The images as Plato posited is but a crafty suggestion that shadows of what we experience are housed ironically within all our 5 senses. Thanks for the mental workout. Hard to find on "any" writer's sites nowadays. doG! The fluff that far too many people waste their time to blow in our faces is daunting.

FACT 44: Todd Parries to Tarry (Poetry) - 12/21/2012 8:16:23 AM
Todd ought to be careful what he asks for... does he actually KNOW how good Cynthia's aim is... or what bit of his particular anatomy she might be aiming at - or for what purpose? His self-absorbed vanity could become trophy in her hands and displayed dangled and roasting above her Christmas mantle at this rate! LOL :)) Have a wonderful holiday season with you and yours, Roger; doubtless the triangular shape of your Christmas tree will further inspire you! xx

Parry not to tarry given the cue.. Lady Vivian

FACT 44: Todd Parries to Tarry (Poetry) - 12/17/2012 5:08:13 PM
Might have it completely wrong, but for me, the metaphoric scene painted here is full of fantasy/reality, a conflict that is all the more real by the admittance, or perhaps it is merely a suggestion, "If this mark is yours, making him on cue might just be the best thing you'll ever do." One with as much cinema BG as I've accumulated can't help but read how impactful the fantasy is in making one's life experience real. Yes, there is such a chasm that exists between what serves as one's REALITY and that enigmatic desire to make our fantasies real. There's definitely a Felliniesque brush stroke here. Truth be told, my argument would be that most of our lives are lived out as fantasy, fearful of what might happen if we dared look reality in the face too long. But, hey, I've no complaints. Still healthy, not hurting anyone, happily involved in a relationship, and respectful of everyone's convictions...as long as they don't foist some of them on this secular humanist in residence.

:)) Love this; what's good for the goose and all that. The form you have chosen absolutely spot-on for Cynthia's choice wind-up and coquettish frame of mind. Great bit of table-turning and how will Todd respond? And will Felicity, too, have to now show a new face, become the "safe" one? The dynamics of this menage grow ever more difficult to manage! xx

FACT 43: Cynthia Waxes Frivolous (Poetry) - 12/9/2012 11:30:25 AM
You've penned an allegory from enigmatic visions, all of which remain part of Love's residual grace. It might be argued that not all expressions and objects of love are designed or destined to remain intact, given the maxim: we create for ourselves the same lesson over and over until we learn it. Because learning the art and fulfillment of love is infinite, it might be further argued that the acceptance of self-love must be active and ongoing in order for Love's outside objects to remain valid in one's life. I for one see much in the last two lines of your work, i.e., allowing the playing field of self-discovery to change in order for Love's learning process to continue. Well done.

To speak of love to a husband is sometimes a misnomer. Question abound, but she ask them as though not desiring a sensible answer. It is all aimed for the nugatory of the played-out sequence. I say here's to a walk around the park . . .

FACT 42: Todd Agonizes over Love (Poetry) - 12/3/2012 1:37:19 PM

FACT 42: Todd Agonizes over Love (Poetry) - 11/27/2012 6:35:32 AM
Such a personality. I can imagine him sitting atop the roof, where he escapes often to imbibe an 18 year old scotch and stare at the stars, wringing his hands lamenting his quandary with a sonnet: Tell me when these weary woes shall have end, Or shall their ruthless torment never cease: But all my days in pining languor spend, Without hope of assuagement or release. Is there no means for me to purchase peace, Or make agreement with her thrilling eyes: That their cruelty doth still increase, Daily more augment my miseries. But when ye have showed all extremities, Then think how little glory you have gained By slaying him, whose life though ye despise, Mote have your life in honor long maintained. But by his death which some perhaps will moan, You shall condemned be of many a one Certainly he needs to think clearly, without doubt or question, push aside all his lame excuses, and then act intelligently. Despite the apparent mental muddiness that love has witched him with, it might help if he quested for peace, repose, serenity, ataraxis, and a slathering of heartsease in his decision making.

FACT 42: Todd Agonizes over Love (Poetry) - 11/26/2012 5:53:34 PM
Oh, to tame the wind and avoid the dastardly rhyme is to be teased by the gypsy heart you speak of here. "The gamble, the wager, this game of love" is still awaiting the next iteration of "wind currents" and their ever vanishing reality. For who within such storms, having tasted the brine of the excruciating love residual, could ever denounce the next experience of the memory's return to " a fresh love for whom my heart once burned." An insightful, deliciously oblique taste of love's reality holding to fantasy's seduction...today. But, what of tomorrow?

FACT 42: Todd Agonizes over Love (Poetry) - 11/26/2012 5:53:05 PM
This is a true-blue soap opera, have you tried to shop it around, Roger? Nobody seems to stay true to their convictions is my take on it all. Even as Todd apparently has figured it out . . . again . . . Still the one who held his heart once upon a time urges and tugs at his heartstrings. One might call him wishy-washy, one might, but I shan't (love that word.)

FACT 41: Felicity Plots a Sequel (Poetry) - 11/16/2012 4:39:22 PM
"Rewrite your sequel" your character is indeed complex ...

FACT 41: Felicity Plots a Sequel (Poetry) - 11/15/2012 6:09:27 PM
Your last line suggests to this writer (given the generations dastardly spent in Hollywhore) that what is created by any modality is in the constant tug-a-war between creative freedom and commercial acceptance. Every "character" real or imagined, aspires to retain the "complexities" most power mongers wish to have diluted to mediocrity. After all, what seduces the most eyeballs? Yes, many a time, you, me, so many others "...were one..." Holding on is really all that's worth exerting energy, emotion and creativity for. "Echosis" the novel I"ve spent the last 9 years writing and am now polishing for publication has as its plot the struggle for these very aspirations, undaunted. Onward, Roger. Onward.

FACT 41: Felicity Plots a Sequel (Poetry) - 11/15/2012 6:59:24 AM
Roger ... Your discipline is impressive. And your ability to stay focused and productive speaks mightily of tenacity. "Fix your destiny." I am concerned that our destinies (in the world system) are in the grips of something much more insidious than we can ever imagine. Make sure you've got your parachute on. It will make for a safer landing if we fall off that cliff that seems to be looming. And besides that; Israel at war? If so ... not a good sign. The creep towards Ezekiel 38-39 has frightening ramifications. I am sure that - aside from characters becoming more complex - we will soon have our fill of burgeoning complexity. rlc

FACT 41: Felicity Plots a Sequel (Poetry) - 11/14/2012 5:55:29 PM
Oh, I dare say the character has more than enough complexity within the lines of these sonnets. Still, I am sure there will be more.

FACT 40: Cynthia’s Fresh Overture (Poetry) - 11/14/2012 2:45:56 PM
disjoined like gypsies at home, with nowhere to go, or counterfeit change, but recently coined. Mint money my love, to spend upon me. New lands await this new-found currency. aye-aye... I see Cynthia's sails are luffing up nicely and she's sailing on fresh seas of inspiration, doubtless following her hapless Bright Star. Fabulous and playful use of language in this, Roger, which sets the tone for a new, lusty engagement. The metaphor of "gypsies at home, with nowhere to go" conjures wonderfully well that inert dissatisfaction... someone's bored with the quiet life already! :)) xx

FACT 40: Cynthia’s Fresh Overture (Poetry) - 11/8/2012 4:13:40 PM
So peppered with metaphor (at least for me) that the possible interpretation may be minimal for some, should they not seek the equally important message in the subtext. Especially poignant for this reader is the symbolic icon for success, for power, for self-respect "money" painted forth as merely a currency for exchange, you know, like love. Loved it, Roger.

Roger, The mist rises whispering nature's ripples resounding senses of the heart. Wonderful write Roger. Lady Mary Ann

FACT 39: Todd Gambles on His Dilemma (Poetry) - 11/4/2012 9:03:28 AM
Such elegant, classical verse with contemporary diction like "touchy-feely"; love that your craftsmanship eloquently combines the two so effortlessly. As that mist on the lake, I rather think that Todd's frame of mind as to how or what he regards his sense of purpose to be will depend moment to moment, from day to day in a tumbleweed kind of way. He seems rendered purposeless as a becalmed sail by this profound confounding. At the end of the day, I feel he is portrayed as one who will continue to live out his life without ever finding resolution; there is none - he is in love with the mindgame - and with both the other minds that seem content to forever play it. :)) xx

FACT 39: Todd Gambles on His Dilemma (Poetry) - 11/3/2012 7:08:37 PM

FACT 39: Todd Gambles on His Dilemma (Poetry) - 11/3/2012 3:57:50 PM
From staring into deep despair, Todd seem what he could not before. I like these two lines, they are magical . . . As he watching and tries to discern which way the ripples take him . . . "Like the mist on a lake just before dawn, my senses hover over the surface,"

FACT 39: Todd Gambles on His Dilemma (Poetry) - 11/2/2012 6:12:34 AM
There's irony in the tertiary impact of the closing sentence. The body of the poem/prosetry presents a sense of relationship history that has posed and resolved its questions, i.e., "...death to depart..." and "...breaking my heart, of wisdom now grown wiser and older." Of course, the primary element driving the piece is the dichotomy of fear and excitement, the turn of the corner, the stepping into shadows before the light might be discerned. Loved this piece. Easily identifiable for a veteran of 3 marriages and 5 children who did, in fact, step into those shadows in a final deployment to the front. Yes, I did find light... for the first time. Strange how understanding one's own behavior is slower coming than understanding that of others.

FACT 38: Felicity’s Sorrowful Lament (Poetry) - 10/31/2012 1:06:38 PM
Almost a perfect utterance, I'd say, Roger! The diction, imagery, the way the metre flows and scans... all brilliant. Plus the tone and emotion are all finely tuned. Love the moon metaphor with the heavy and light... and, I suspect, also perhaps alerting us to the potential for inconstancy and taciturn-ess. We'll see... Tomorrow is another day and, when the moon sleeps, the sun comes up...! :)) xx

FELICITY IS LEARNING A HARD LESSON; IT SEEMS TODD TURNED OUT TO BE NOT THAT BIG OF A PRIZE AT ALL AND TO WIN DOESN'T ALWAYS MEAN 'VICTORY' AND TO LOSE ISN'T ALWAYS 'DEFEAT'. CYNTHIA ENDURED THE PAIN OF LOSING TODD, NOW FELICTY CAN LIVE WITH THE PAIN OF WINNING HIM. I FEEL NO SYMPATHY FOR FELICITY, SHE DUG HER OWN GRAVE AND SENT HER TORMENTING JIBES TO CYNTHIA WITH ARROGANT AND HEARTLESS GLEE. NO NEED FOR HER TO FEEL DISMAYED NOW, FOR SHE HAD NO PITY ON CYNTHIA. SHE DIDN'T CARE AT ALL. AND TODD, THAT DISPICABLE, WEAK MAN? I WOULDN'T BE SURPRISED IF HE HASN'T ALREADY STARTED HIS TACTICS OF UNFAITHFULNESS...BEING 'SWAYED' BY ANOTHER. Hmmmm ... Is the series wrapping up? There seems a sense of conclusiveness in this. It seems to bubble up from the subtext. Perhaps I'm reaching. Probably so. And "goodnight", too, in the preface, has various implications. The immediate one (to me) being a courteous way of saying farewell. Auf wiedersehen - au revoir - arrivederci - leave-taking - parting - sayonara - bye-bye Todd. And 'fey'... this not often heard word seems to sum up the creative process for me at times; slightly insane. haha... Peace and continued inspiration ...

I CAN'T TAKE THIS ROGER!!! CYNTHIA CAN'T BE THAT STUPID...I MEAN REALLY. OH DEAR LORD, PLEASE HELP HER! THE FACT THAT SHE'S EVEN 'CONSIDERING' HIS WORDS...UPSETS ME. IT DOESN'T MATTER IF HIS WORDS TRUE OR NOT...WHY WOULD SHE WANT SUCH A PERSON WHO OBVIOUSLY DOESN'T EVEN KNOW HIS OWN MIND??!!! I MEAN...IF HE MADE A DECISION BE MAN ENOUGHT TO AT LEAST STICK TO IT! SHE HAS HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO TAKE A GOOD LOOK AT HIM...MEANING; HIS PERSONALITY, HIS ABILITY TO HURT, HIS CHARACTER, HIS UNRELIABILITY....HIM!!!! WHEN YOU ARE WITH SOMEONE AND YOU ARE IN LOVE WITH THEM YOU DON'T SEE ANY OF THESE THINGS...IT IS ONLY WHEN YOU ARE NO LONGER TOGETHER THAT YOU CAN SEE WHO AND WHAT THEY REALLY ARE! CYNTHIA HAS HAD A CHANCE TO SEE TODD FOR WHO HE REALLY IS AND THIS IS NOT WHO SHE LOVED. SHE LOVED A FACADE, SHE LOVED THE PERSON WHO SHE THOUGHT HE WAS. I DON'T UNDERSTAND IT...I JUST CAN'T SEE IT! IF SHE DOES BACK WITH HIM I THINK I'LL JUST KEEL OVER AND KNICK UP THE ROSES! HONESTLY! WELL, I'M THROUGH, I'M OUTTA HERE! I AM SO SPENT, I DON'T KNOW WHAT ELSE TO SAY BUT...GOODBYE UNTIL NEXT TIME! LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...JOYCE * HIS INSPIRATIONS

FACT 36: Todd Comes Between Felicity and Cynthia. (Poetry) - 10/16/2012 8:51:34 AM
CYNTHIA DOESN'T NEED HIS UNDERSTANDING OR ATTENTION. WHAT CYNTHIA NEEDS IS FOR HIM TO CONVINCE FELICITY THAT HE LOVES HER AND HER ONLY AND DOES NOT WANT CYNTHIA AT ALL. I THINK HE IS PURPOSELY THROWING AN AIR OF DOUBT IN HIS RELATIONSHIP WITH FELICITY BECAUSE HE IS STILL CARRYING A MEASURE OF GUILT ABOUT HOW HE TREATED CYNTHIA. HE IS WRONG TO DO THIS AND HE IS BEING VERY UNFAIR TO FELICITY. IF SHE ONLY KNEW...SHE MIGHT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT OTHERS, BUT SHE DOESN'T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT CYNTHIA. I NEVER LIKED FELICITY AND I FEEL SHE IS GETTING WHATEVER SHE DESERVES FROM TODD AND HIS MANIPULATIONS BUT NOW, I REALLY DON'T LIKE TODD. WHY? BECAUSE HE IS THROWING A BAD LIGHT ON CYNTHIA, WHO REALLY DOES NOT WANT HIM AND ISN'T GIVING HIM ANY INCLINATIONS THAT SHE DOES. HE IS SNEAKY AND UNDERHANDED AND NOT TO BE TRUSTED...WHICH REALLY IS WHAT FELICITY DESERVES BUT CYNTHIA DOESN'T. THANKS FOR SHARING...AND I'M ON TO THE NEXT ONE! LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...JOYCE * HIS INSPIRATIONS

FACT 35: Felicity Feints to the Left. (Poetry) - 10/16/2012 8:38:34 AM
WHAT CYNTHIA DOES IS NONE OF FELICITY'S BUSINESS! I CAN'T UNDERSTAND HOW SHE CAN HAVE SO MUCH TIME TO WORRY ABOUT WHAT CYNTHIA IS DOING. WHY SHOULD SHE CARE WHAT CYNTHIA IS DOING WITH HER LIFE? AND AS FAR AS FELICITY'S ACCUSATION OF CYNTHIA STILL WANTING TODD, ALL I CAN SAY IS...'SO A PERSON THINKS, SO THEY ARE'. OBVIOUSLY FELICITY THINKS THAT CYNTHIA IS LIKE HER...AND THIS WHAT SHE WOULD DO SO, SHE FEELS CYNTHIA WOULD DO IT TOO. CYNTHIA DOESN'T WANT HIM, REALLY. SO FELICITY...? BE HAPPY AND STOP DON'T WORRY AND PLEASE STOP ANNOYING CYNTHIA BY SEEING HER IN YOUR MIRROR. I GOT BEHIND A LITTLE, ROGER BUT I'M CATCHING UP TODAY! THANKS FOR SHARING. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...JOYCE * HIS INSPIRATIONS

Roger ~ To reach "fairest of fairs"..phenomenal writing. Lady Mary Ann

FACT 36: Todd Comes Between Felicity and Cynthia. (Poetry) - 10/2/2012 5:54:39 AM
Hmmmmm ... reestablishing cordial relations is he. "dare of dares" "fairest of fairs" "tracks of treasured tears" "visage wears" "measured cares" ... These are a few of the phrasal accents that delight, Roger. These (IMO) argue, too, someone who sincerely cares about what they do. A soul heedfully sorting through the gorge of windy poetic possibility to find the perfectly colored words to make the body and soul of the piece sparkle. A lesson that everyone should take to heart, and, more importantly, to task. Another finely wrought installment. Peace and continued inspiration ...

FACT 35: Felicity Feints to the Left. (Poetry) - 9/30/2012 12:55:10 PM
... If these three weren't such good wordsmiths through you, Roger, I think the wheels on their relational bus might have ground to a halt before now! Girls: is this bloke worth it? Todd: when are you gonna bang these two women's heads together?! Are these obsessive compulsive game-players bent on winning at any cost? On the other hand, were these three to stop and get a life, my goodness... we'd be totally bereft of your SERIOUSLY good sonnetising and psychometric profiling. And that just WON'T do! In that case, bring on the further menage machinations... :)) xx

Another fine installment in your sensuously served sonnet-licious series, Roger. You make alliteration sparkle within the geode of your "double-barrelled" shotgun of a construct. Peace to you ... richard

You certainly have got something going with this tale, Roger; reminds me of Shakespeare for some reason. Love and peace, Regis

FACT 35: Felicity Feints to the Left. (Poetry) - 9/22/2012 4:44:54 PM
Okay. Let's get out of the trite review syndrome. This is a stand alone piece. Loaded with metaphoric substance and meaning, as poets acknowledging other poets, we have an obligation to avoid the tweet one liners. So... canvass in print... pigments of pain..."if first impression last longer than death, this fact maybe the best brush stroke of all... all contribute to an impression of "what is love?" The line, "...time to give your love the lie." So much packed into so few words.

FACT 35: Felicity Feints to the Left. (Poetry) - 9/22/2012 2:59:39 PM
Bluntly explaining things is Felicity. Hard keeping up with these two.

FACT 34: Cynthia Tilts at Impressionism (Poetry) - 9/11/2012 11:54:33 AM
THERE'S AN OLD CLICHE' THAT SAY'S...'IDLE MIND IS THE DEVIL'S WORKSHOP' AND THIS IS WHAT CYNTHIA IS SAYING TO HER. 'DO' SOMETHING WITH YOURSELF!!! STOP ACTING LIKE A CHILD AND WORRYING ABOUT WHAT WAS OR WHAT COULD BE. I DON'T WANT TODD I DON'T CARE WHAT HE FEELS. YOU TOOK HIM, NOW ENJOY AND BUILD ON HIS LOVE...FOR WHATEVER ITS WORTH TO YOU. BRAVO! CYNTHIA. I LOVE THE PERSPECTIVE AND ASSURANCE OF THIS 'DEFEATED', BUT SO STRONG WOMAN. THANKS FOR THE SHARE. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...JOYCE * HIS INSPIRATIONS

Masterful,..love this line ..'holding back promise like lovers hold tears'

FACT 34: Cynthia Tilts at Impressionism (Poetry) - 9/9/2012 4:11:14 PM
Fact 34. 3+4=7. A spiritual number embracing completeness. This is interesting to me in light of the fact that you've trained two sonnets together, and both of them are magnificently and delicately rendered. Kudos poet! Fact 35, (if you choose to continue) will equal 8, a spiritual number denoting new beginnings. Whatever the Most High is doing through you, Roger, is burgeoning, in my humble opinion. This construct seems more Brobdingnagian (in scope) than the others. Even though French Impressionism was never a moving force in my life, know that your work is. Abundant blessings of peace and health to you ... richard

FACT 34: Cynthia Tilts at Impressionism (Poetry) - 9/9/2012 11:43:12 AM

FACT 33: Felicity Fitfully Moans Over Cynthia’s Silence (Poetry) - 9/3/2012 4:08:08 PM
THERE IS NOTHING FOR CYNTHIA TO SAY TO HER...ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! AND THE FACT THAT FELICITY IS NOT ENJOYING HER 'VICTORY' AS MUCH AS SHE THOUGHT SHE WOULD DOES NOT SURPRISE ME AT ALL. HMMMMMMM...I WONDER WHAT THE PROBLEM COULD POSSIBLY BE? COULD IT BE THAT OLD MAN 'CONSCIENCE' JUST WON'T ALLOW HER TO 'LET IT GO'? ALSO, TODD'S OBVIOUS HIGH OPINION AND DEFENSE OF CYNTHIA'S CHARACTER HAS NOT HELPED FELICITY TO FEEL TOTALLY SECURE IN HER STOLEN POSITION. BUT I FEEL NO SYMPATHY FOR FELICITY AT ALL...I THINK SHE IS GETTING JUST WHAT SHE DESERVES. UNTIL NEXT TIME...TAKE CARE, ROGER, AND THANKS. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...JOYCE * HIS INSPIRATIONS

FACT 13: Felicity's Plaintive Cry.... (Poetry) - 9/2/2012 6:04:34 AM
I have truly enjoyed the effective word choice as well as the alliterative quality of the writing. Touching content... but somehow, if I were Tod, I would find this almost too alluring to be true. Axilea

And Memories Begin (Poetry) - 8/25/2012 1:07:55 PM
I GUESS WHEN ONE FINDS THEMSELVES UNABLE TO ESCAPE PEERING THROUGH THE 'PANE' OF 'RAIN',INSIDE AND OUT, ONE HAS NO OTHER RECOURSE BUT TO WALK IN IT UNTIL IT, MERCIFULLY, SUBSIDES. A METAPHORICAL BEAUTTY. THANKS FOR SHARING. LOVE, BLESSINGS & FAITH... JOYCE * HIS INSPIRATIONS

FACT 32: Felicity Approaches Cynthia (Poetry) - 8/25/2012 12:32:30 PM
WHEN WILL PEOPLE LEARN THAT TWO PEOPLE DO NOT THINK ALIKE? WHAT INTRIGUES ONE, TURNS ANOTHER OFF. WHAT SEEMS SO NATURAL TO ONE, SEEMS PURE LUDICROUS TO ANOTHER. SO WE SEE THAT FELICITY IS SO CONFUSED. CONFUSED TO THE POINT WHERE SHE HAS BEGUN TO SEE HER OWN ACTIONS AND WHAT SHE IS FEELING AS CYNTHIA'S ACTIONS AND FEELINGS. I HAVE NEVER VIEWED CYNTHIA'S REACTION TOWARD FELICITY AS ANYTHING BUT, GENUINE AND UNDERSTOOD...DISLIKE AND TOTAL RESENTMENT. AND THESE FEELINGS WERE EXPRESSED MORE TO TODD THAN TO FELICITY. IF I REMEMBER CORRECTLY I THINK THESE TWO WOMEN HAD ONE REALLY EXPLOSIVE DEBATE, BUT NOW, THERE IS NO COMMON GROUND, ANYMORE. THE BATTLE IS OVER. FELICITY HAS WON, BUT FOR SOME REASON CANNOT TAKE HER 'PRIZE' AND MOVE ON. PERSONALLY, I THINK ITS PURE GUILT AND THE 'GUT' FEELING DEEP DOWN INSIDE THAT WHAT SHE AND TODD DID TO CYNTHIA, TODD AND SOMEONE ELSE WILL EVENTUALLY DO TO HER. THUS, FELICITY WASTES HER GOOD TIME AND EFFORT, THAT SHOULD BE USED IN 'CONCRETING' HER RELATIONSHIP WITH TODD ON CYNTHIA. WHO HARDLY CARES WHAT SHE AND TODD DOES(AT LEAST I HOPE THIS IS WHERE CYNTHIA HAS PROGRESSED TO, BY NOW). I AM ALMOST SPEECHLESS WITH THE MARKED CLARITY OF HOW THIS LITTLE SCENERIO SHOWS THE MARKED DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THESE TWO WOMEN. ONE RESIGNED TO ACCEPTING THINGS AS THEY ARE AND GOING ON WITH HER LIFE. WHILE THE OTHER, SO TORN BY GUILT, HAS BEGUN TO FABRICATE AND 'PUSH' HER FEELINGS ON THE OTHER. AND DID FELICITY REALLY SAY, 'ME AND YOU'???!!!! I CAN'T BELIEVE IT! I THINK HER CONSCIENCE IS REALLY BEATING HER UP. AT THIS POINT, IT IS FELICITY THAT NEEDS TO 'STOP LOOKING BACK'! BUT, BECAUSE OF HER OWN LOW MORALISTIC VIEWS, THAT OBVIOUSLY MAKES THE BIG DIFFERENCE BETWEEN HER AND CYNTHIA....SHE CAN'T. ROGER, AS THIS LOVE STORY GOES ON I CAN'T HELP BUT BECOME MORE AND MORE IMMERSED IN ITS 'BEGUILING' ATMOSPHERE OF...OH, SO MANY THINGS! LOOKING FORWARD TO THE NEXT EPISODE. THANKS FOR SHARING. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...JOYCE * HIS INSPIRATIONS
