Stories From Liars, Friends and the Innocent (Book) - 10/15/2008 3:34:33 PM
These short stories are partial truth and fiction with a setting in and around the towns of Mize, Magee and Taylorsville, Mississippi. Some of the characters mentioned are real, some are not, but none are identified by their real names. The same is true of the events described. My intent is to entertain the reader with the actions and thoughts of the characters and the humorous logic they use day by day.

Get It Right (Short Story) - 2/27/2009 6:23:16 AM
Your story made me laugh! I have a friend whose mother had a similar problem...At a meeting to promote Amway products she told the assembled group that the Amway toothpaste had cured her gonorrhea. As the group shifted uncomfortably, and some got up to leave, she kept reiterating how serious she was. Finally her husband got up and sweetly explained that she really meant "GINGIVITIS!" hee, hee, hee... It still makes me laugh to think about it. Cryssa :~)

Dear friend Marion, Yes she spend our and your money without asking us for permission. Is this not an aberration? Thank you my friend for bringing the subjet to light. Love Emile

The Threat to the Jews (Article) - 5/30/2009 9:28:30 AM
The truth of the matter is in that part of the world this goes back to about 1947. When the Palestinians say that there land taken away from them and others say this is our land by right and we will fight to keep it – others would say we will fight till we get it back - Therefore, no one in this world will ever be able to put a stop to it until the hate that comes from that part of the world stops and helped by other folk giving them tools to do the job. Better people than we are who have more understanding have not been able to put an end to it. It seems to me that a few folk are making a lot of folk suffer and a case of you stop hitting me and I will stop hitting you. . .

One Angry Veteran (Article) - 5/11/2009 4:46:17 AM
Sadly, Paul, John, this letter has been sent to all congressmen in the state off Mississippi--no answers as of this date. It has been sent to Limbaugh, Hannity, Beck, FOX News and a host of others--no answer as of this date. I have had several calls from veterans expressing 'Amens' as a result of its appearance in newspapers.I can only surmise that I have not written it strongly enough or else there is a wall of apathy I cannot penetrate. In any case, I find it sad.

One Angry Veteran (Article) - 5/10/2009 8:28:53 AM
Amen, brother. Thank you for your service and for taking a stand against this kind of ignorance. Of course, nothing will come of it; she is, after all, a Democrat and thereby immune intense scrutiny.

One Angry Veteran (Article) - 5/10/2009 6:07:55 AM
Ditto.. and again, thanks for looking out for our country for all of those years, Marion

"She might be President one day!!" Oh, my God, Marion!! How can the people of this wonderful country be so frigging stupid to vote these clowns into the highest offices in the world. Very good article, my friend. Mark.

Reid, Pelosi, and every Obama appointee to date are a sad joke. This so-called stimulus bill is a blatant ripoff of those who do pay taxes. It is filled with pork that only grows government, pays off special interest groups aand does little to nothing to stimulate the economy nor create real jobs. Pathetic at best...The nutcases have taken over the asylum.

God Was Busy (Poetry) - 6/7/2009 3:32:45 AM
Excellent my friend, but you forgot to tell the folks about God being a Marine and liking to play chess. This one goes directly to my library, a keeper, long long time since I read a poem from a no nonsense soldier. Keeping tabs on you from now on! Georg PS, bet your wife is a woman of infinite patience! fifty years is a long time to stay put with a sailor! :-)

Marian, you must be close to the Father of us all to know Him so well. Enjoyed the poem, felt as if I was there. PS, did you hold him down with a heavy foot? Mary

MARION - EXCELLENT WRITE! Although I've heard a similar tale, years ago, with a Marine doing the slugging - yours is well-rhymed. Your name reminds me of the old 50's movie "BATTLE-CRY" - remember the quiet character with glasses? Was he a writer? perhaps the author of the book? "Huxley's Harlots" was the term of endearment for these great Marines. Thank you for your Service in our proud Navy - also your BETTER-HALF - and CONGRATS on your pending 50th! I only made it to 34 years. Although I was a "dogface doughboy" Army Reservist, who never saw any action, nor any Carrier duty, I was a member of the XXIII Trans. Corps, trained as COXSWAIN on an LCM - Landing Craft Mechanized - and earned a MOS-560 Seaman, and was stationed on a 176' Freighter for Advanced Training, down at Fort Eustis, VA. and berthed on the James River. This was 1960, when I was just 20. OH - almost forgot - WELCOME ABOARD, MATEY! You won't get rich or famous here, but there's a great bunch of authors here, who will support your efforts. ANCHORS AWAY - ME'BOY! TOM.
