Church Hurts (Short Story) - 2/17/2009 8:25:54 AM
This is the primary reason why I have nothing to do with organized religion in any way shape or form. Mr. Kelp was accusing you based upon someone else’s behavior. I grew up in the Catholic religion and it was more of the same. You were convicted and sentenced before there was ever a trial. By the way, in the catholic school I attended in the late sixties you can throw that: “confronting falling brother nonsense” right out the window. I could just imagine confronting one of the nuns at the school I attended on a one on one basis. A clear and definite impression of a ruler would be stamped on my hands. And forget about asking any of my friends to come along as witnesses. That would initiate a methodical pounding followed by laughter and humiliation. In short, none of the stuff that Jesus got away with would work at my Old Catholic school.

Soft red Cushions (Short Story) - 2/11/2009 1:36:14 AM

School Daze (Short Story) - 2/10/2009 5:12:28 PM
Wow! You transported me to a whole new world, which is the purpose of good story. Also, you made the point of how a friendship made such a positive influence on your life. Glad I stumbled on this gem. Susan

The Problem with Religion (Article) - 5/9/2009 9:36:43 AM
Preacher, I love your articles especially when you tell it like it is! That was what Jesus did. He let the chips fall where they may not caring who they fell on. We need more like that and like you. You go Sir! And may God bless you.

Have a Talk with God (Article) - 4/2/2009 6:38:02 PM
I look forward each night...in private to pray and thank GOD for all my blessings of the day. I have read that passage and it did help me understand about the true relationship with him. Thank you for posting this, CarolHawks

Friend of God (Article) - 3/28/2009 6:09:40 PM
Thank you, Terry! I wasn't sure on which scripture Isreal Houghton based his popular song, "Friend of God". You answered my question, encouraged, challenged and blessed me with your thoughts. It is evident that you, too, are truly a friend of God!

Friend of God (Article) - 3/14/2009 3:49:59 PM
To Be Friend Of (God) Is Not To Fear Him But To Know Him That---He (God) Is Merciless... What Promises(?) Ain't Got Thing To Do With Faith,i.e. I Am Realist Not An Idealist... TRASK...

Seperation Anxiety to the Max (Article) - 2/27/2009 11:57:31 AM

Out of the Pit (Article) - 2/9/2009 4:35:55 AM
I loved your article. It tells the truth about Jesus and what it takes to be saved. Too many folks talk the talk but do not walk the walk. The seperation of the sheep from the goats will come. You cannot please God and man. Please God and to hell with man! Marion Dollar

Don't Preach at Me! (Article) - 1/12/2009 5:49:16 PM
"We don't pimp religion, we proclaim salvation. Ours is not a message of doom, but of deliverance." VERY eloquently stated...and oh, so true! Blessings... ~JDA <> <

Kisses Sweeter than Wine (Article) - 1/7/2009 5:59:35 AM

Don't Preach at Me! (Article) - 1/4/2009 9:38:54 PM
Hello Terry, Very factual. We "declare" the Word, but people, when confronted with truth either get angry or get saved. We don't preach when we say "you're account is due, please pay" -it's just a statement. In the same context when we say: "sooner or later you'll die, where will you go?" -same statement, but classified as "preaching". Cynthia
