A Turning Point (Short Story) - 4/22/2009 2:23:43 AM
Louisa you have taken a journey few people in the world have ever thought about. This journey led you from nurses aide to a dedicated soldier that took her defense of her country to heart. We don't have to carry and shoot guns to defend our country; we can do that simply by instilling confidence, pride, and resourcefulness in others to stand up for what they believe in, and for who they are. There are many people in this country, as well as the world that need this kind of guidance. With you at the helm Spec. 5 Louisa, I am sure that quite a few people are still being counseled. A 10 out of 10 Lousia and thank you for sharing. I really loved reading this. May the Lord Jesus bless you, and those whom you love and who love you, and be with you always, and at your side constantly. With much love in my heart, joy to the world, peace on earth & ((((((((((MANY WONDERFUL SISTERLY HUGGGGSSSS)))))))))), your den sister, Barbie

As a registered nurse I have seen your pain. As a daughter I have felt the same. It's hard to let go, but I know they are always in our hearts forever. They really never leave us alone. It's been over 15 years and I still talk about mama as if she were still alive. Thanks for sharing your beautiful work. (((HUGS)) Helen

I loved this, beautiful write and such an easy read. I love it when I come upon a story such as this that just flows and I read it and am a bit disapointed that it's over, hungry to read more. The silver hair made me think of my mamaw, she had the prettiest silver hair you'de ever imagine. My hair is still black, well except for one white streak that starts just above my right eye. I call this my Mamaw streak. I loved this, Your great Louisa! Blessings, Joyce Bowling

Steal Away to Jesus (Short Story) - 10/13/2006 5:56:58 AM
Hi Louisa: This one reminds me so much of me when my Daddy was in the hospital. He was struggling to sit up to come closer toward me, when I told him "I love you Daddy!...and I know you love me too!". I watched as he opened his almost dried-up eyes to see me, and I knew he saw me there to really tell him that I understand he loves me too. You can read about my Daddy while he was in the hospital in my poem "Daddy". My true feelings are all written in there into those poems. Oh Louisa, this one brought back so much memories for me!!!! A thought-provoking heartfelt piece indeed!!!! Sandie May Angel a.k.a. Sandie Angel :o)

One Hundred Dollar Invitation (Poetry) - 11/24/2009 4:25:32 PM
Like they say, you can choose your friends but you can't choose your family. That said sometimes people have a change of heart. Don't expect your money, love is not not for rent, or sale. Put that behind you and you might actually have a good time. Like I should talk, I haven't had a Thankgiving dinner with my brother in over 25 years. And we actually get along. Patrick
