Call this part one of several when it comes to not being brain-dead on vacation. And the more I learn, the juicier the dish!

America is a nation of mental physical and financial influence. In a word, we call it ‘politics.’ The political power of the mind is one that can twist and turn like a Texas cyclone, creating attention and kicking up dust where one is least likely to anticipate.

What ways can one qualify oneself on understanding the one-way magical media turn-style?

Well, in a pistachio nutshell, not everyone has the ability for their husband to pay their way through graduate school as my wonderful Kenny sacrificed to make his wife’s dream come true as he did for me in 1987. (I happened to have a voracious love for researching things beyond the sea of news complexity, and choose to deep sea dive to see how the real ocean of news works….and trust me, it’s a warcraft I’m glad to have experienced.)

But for the average person, just paying attention to “small print” and reading beyond the felonious fodder that is fed to us in the media is good enough.

And you know the easiest way to do it outside of a college education (if you have the ability to learn good cultural and people skills) is exposing yourself to INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL.

Why do I say this? Well sports fans, let’s be honest. The American media and every other nation’s natives want us to believe that people are “either this way or that way.” It was only thru traveling to Mexico’s gorgeous Riviera Maya area about one hour south of Cancun one week ago that I understood that “all in American print ain’t necessarily true !”

And here’s an added benefit for business owners, be it home or brick and mortar-style, you can write off the entire cost of your passport(s) off on your taxes.

Point-blank y’all, the way the world is today makes it a mandate and an absolute MUST to get outside of the borders of the hamster cage of American news. That means to GET A PASSPORT. Either that, or believe everything the media machine tells you. Why? Because FEAR SELLS NEWS…..FEAR INCREASES RATINGS….and FEAR STARTS WARS AND CAUSES PEOPLE  TO LIVE….(tahdah!) IN A HAMSTER CAGE!

I would venture off onto the hamster cages of religion and politics, but I’m saving that later on for my book. (Yep, it’s not a sin  for a Christian to complain about what’s not right in the church. Yeshushua (Jesus) was a rebel. I like that about him!)

So, since I learned to be off the clock on a recent trip with a business partner to experience the area of Mexico that was ruined for a moment by the lies of the American media, I’ll take my time writing, and do it when it feels good too do. For me, writing is like making love as opposed to ‘hit it and quit it.”

Therefore, my Riviera Maya adventure will come to you in four stages, making it very difficult for people who want that international travel experience to do without it like a soldier who can’t wait to get home to feed a need with his/her love connection.

My adventure on how media makes travel happen or not will come in stages:

1. The Media Tease (headlines)

2 .The Media Foreplay (fear infusion)

3. The Media Full Tilt Orgasmic Romp (rock’n & rollin’)

4. The Media Shower (lingering brain sweat)

First, the Media Tease

Remembers the 2009 Swine Flu H1N1 scare in
Mexico? Well let’s just say that my own opinion--after speaking with the locals in the really nice areas where billions of dollars are controlled by American tourism—it made more sense to be afraid of a cold. Especially once you recall the strange timing of it all with the “lack of vaccines” and the interesting “abundance” of vaccines that appeared MONTHS after the media stopped pumping their tease into the minds of Americans.

It’s amazing what one can learn from the people who are affected by American media in the tourism industry. Point blank, before going any further….when the auto industry went sour in America, where did all the jobs go? And when Wal-mart moved into all these other nations, think of how much philanthropy could be channeled to help the poor in those nations in every area of their lives?

Now granted I do like the convenience of shopping at Wal-mart online and getting non-stop cash back plus commissions for people who shop online there, but honey and homey you know that doesn’t mean one has to be naked and living in a cave with no electricity to make a point y’all! Wal-mart sells underwater instant cameras for 150 pesos (or $13 American bucks). But what do the people have to live on who work behind the cash registers of any nation where Wal-mart, and even real estate companies exist? The LEAST one could expect is free health care for making them the biggest retailer (next to ZamZuu) in the world.

Like I said before I venture off too far into RETAIL POLITICS, one has to get in the mix by visiting these nations even beyond missionary work. Go as a tourist. Know the precautions ahead of time. Use COMMON SENSE and not your local news for guidance, STOP sucking up everything we read, and get the true story from the people in the areas about what’s REALLY going on!

A great vacation for an intelligent person is far more than an excursion and a beach front. (Even some of the beach fronts are fake….and I know exactly where they are from talking with the locals.) The truth may be a hot mess but it sure will set one free.

FYI: This is part of a multi-series blog. It will be written to the rhythm of the tide of my personal muse. No deadlines….when it shows up, it shows up, and readers will just have to catch my interview with a wonderful business man and concierge and shuttle bus driver, both of whom were named “Mario” who both explained how the swine flu media mind infection in the United States twisted the truth, and how the resorts were very safe,

Let’s just say this as a “teaser” for the next blog: Being around cigarette smoke in our daily lives is more deadly that the REAL truth about the swine flu.

Hasta la vista Baby! Next blog title: My Two Mario’s

Part two of “The Media Foreplay)

FYI: On my facebook page there will be a more kinder and gentler blog. Be on the lookout  “OASIS SPA BABY” later this week on “Team Spectrum YTB Mastermind Family,” my personal/business reflective page telling about my Mayan eco-spa experience.

Hmmm . . . I don't care too much for golf either! But I guess it's better than politics!
