"Where are you going?" Robert inquired, feeling she was up to something.
She didn't reply.
Mad, he chased after her, grabbed her shoulder and rudely swung her round to face him.
"Answer me or you'll regret it!"

"I already regret it!" she hissed, flinching with pain. "I regret marrying you!"

"Me too!" he threw back, challenging her.

"Fine! Why don't you just let me go then?"

"So, you're leaving, eh?"

"Surprise-surprise?" She half giggled in her distress. "You're breaking my heart and my shoulder as well! Look, bastard! Let me go or I'll hit you pretty hard!"

"Try it!" Robert laughed.

"My Lord, You're hurting her!" someone screamed, and, surprised, Robert released his hold, looking to see who dared to utter that.

Martha took advantage and rushed inside her office, locking the door behind her...
