Rated "PG13" by the Author.

The showdown between The Transferant Hunters and The vampires.

"Descedents of vampires!"  Jessa whispered nervously to Jordan, as they unpacked at the old Cathedral.  Goose flesh covered her arms and the nape of her neck.  "I don't believe anything those old creepy men say, and you shouldn't either, Jessa.  No way is that possible.  Vampires are the undead.  Thay can't reproduce life, if there's no life in them!  Jessa frowned.  "Then how do you explain the visions we have?  It's like, like we've lived before, in this village, as if we already know this place".  Then her eyes focused on Jordan's handsome, strained face, so like her own.  "And where is David?  Is he really dead?, because I don't sense that.  I sense his presence here, and I know you do, too, Jordan, don't shake your head, because you'll be lying if you say you don't feel David here".

Jordan refused to buy into Jessa's histerics.  She was just tired and weary from such a long ride, and a very stressful week.  But he couldn't deny the eerie feeling that David was here.  Jordan looked away from his sister, hiding that haunted look in his eyes.  He had felt his brother's presence.  Actually, he'd even heard David's voice, whispering to him to believe, to embrace his power;  a battle was about to begin, and he would stand at the forefront!  Jordan shook off that terrifying incident.  He couldn't call it a dream, because he was wide awake, watching over his sister.  Jordan's glance at Jessa caught her staring intently at him.  That look told him what he had suspected;  she had heard the same thing, at the same time he had!

As the twins roamed the halls of the old church and listened to the stories the old men told, Vlladimire and his band of blood thirsty killers went on feeding on the villagers, old and young alike, stripping the countryside of life.  When they had heard enough, the twins did indeed believe.  Miracles are rare these days.  When one appears, it must be acted upon whithout delay.  Jordan and Jessa, after finally excepting who they were, received just such a miracle, in the appearence on their missing brother, David.  Drawn by whispers deep in the night, the twins followed an unfamiliar road that took them high up into the mountain side.  The night was very cold and fog hung thick in the air, making visabilty nearly impossible.

The higher they got into the mountains, the louder and more urgent the voice became.  The twins, resigned to the truth, listened and followed.  At a peak in the side of the mountain, they saw a grassy opening.  It was overgrown by grass and weeds, nearly hiden the eye.  Had it not been for the voice's direction, they would have missed it.  After pulling away as much of the weeds as they could, the twins, hold hands tightly, entered the tomb.  The laterns glow was hardly enough to penetrate the dense darkness.  Once inside, the twins tensed from the aweful smell of death as old as time itself.  The old Ancient one, Vlladimire, had lived here!  Bats screeched above, annoyed that their home had been invaded.
Deeper they went, searching for the elusive owner of the commanding voice.  Suddenly without warning, the laterns went out as a great, strong gust of freezing cold air burst thru the cave, and the fog swallowed up the twins.  Pressed together in defense of each other, the twins received the vision of David, as he was when hell let loose it's demon, Vlladimire!

   "
I was in mom's stone garden when he first came to me.  I didn't see him, but felt his powerful presence as he watched from some nearby tree or roof, I'm not sure.  All I know is, he wasn't there to kill me.  He just watched, for years.  Just watched, never spoke.  Then he did speak, and what he told me caused great fear and torment in me.  I knew I had to leave in order to protect you two.  From myself.  You see, I have his blood in me!  He came to claim his heir!  I couldn't allow him to harm you.  I fought the urges he pressed upon my mind, to feed on human blood.  Darius came to me in a vision and told me who I was, why I couldn't give in to the desires of that hellish thing.  You mustn't either.  I couldn't overtake him alone.  I had no way of knowing you two were Transferants.  You were too young to handle such power, anyway.  Now, you know and now the time is here.  Prepare well, my brother and sister.  I am no longer able to appear to you, as I asked to be empaled and buried very, very deep in the earth.  But do not fear, for as you arrived, my powers are restored to me, to use my mental ability to assist you in destroying that hord hell sent demons!  Beware of visions.  I, nor Darius will send anymore after tonight.  He is with you, too, and together we will defeat this creature.  Be well, children, and believe.  You must trully believe in your own powers!"
