Things begin to really heat up between Trevor and Iris.

As Trevor and Iris waited for Rusty to return with more news, they tried in vain to avoid their growing attraction for each other.  Each night Trevor would pass the bedroom door and pause, wanting to go to her, to hold her and reassure her that she would be alright, that things would return to normal real soon.  He tried very hard to convince himself, that that was all he intended!

One night as he passed the door, he noticed a faint sniffling.  All sorts of warnings went off in his head, but he ignored them and knocked.  She didn't answer, so he tapped again and spoke through the door, asking if she was okay.  S he said nothing, just wimpered and sniffed.  Worried, Trevor opened the door and looked in.  S he was lying on her side, facing away from him.  He could see her small shoulders tremble slightly.  He walked over to the bed.  "Jane, what's wrong?  is it your ankle?", he asked.  She sat up and wiped her eyes, looking up at him.  Trevor almost ran out, because her eyes looked like warm amber under the soft golden candlelight of the room.

She looked very appealing with her hair all toussled and her pouty mouth trembling.  Soft, tangled culrs fell across her brow when she nodded yes.  She said her ankle was throbbing more to night than usual.  Trevor went to the medicine cabinet. He was back quickly with some  aspirin, water and an ice pack.  He sat on the edge of the bed and pulled the covers back to look at her ankle.  Unfortunately he could see more than he intended.  The t-shirt was pushed just above her raised knee.  Trevor handed her the aspirin and touched her ankle.  She winced and drew back.

Assuring her that he wuldn't hurt her, he pressed the icepack to her ankle.  "why didn't you tell me earlier that you were in pain?  why are you being so stubborn, Jane?", Trevor asked her.  She turned away from the soft, concerned look in his dark eyes.  Eyes that held her captive everytime she dared look directly into them!

She spoke fast, breathlessly.  She wanted to change the subject, direct attention away from herself.  Away from the fact that Trevor sat so close to her, that she could smell his freshly washed skin.  "because I didn't want-I've emposed on you too much already.  I know you don't want me here, Trevor, and I understand that.  But I have no place to go right now, no one to turn to.  you have no idea how- how alone in the world, I feel!"

Breaking his promise to never touch her, Trevor reached out and tilted her beautiful face u to him.  He smiled as his thumb wiped the moiture from her satiny cheek.  His eyes held hers as he spoke, "no Jane, you're not alone.  I'm here for you, for as long as you need me to be.  don't you know by now, that I'd never let anything hurt you?", he whispered.  It had been alright.  He had kept his promise, kept his control.  He kept his distance, until now.  Touching her soft skin, seeing her so relaxed, so soft and yielding there on his bed, in his shirt, awakened the desire he'd fought so hard to deny for the last two weeks, since he first saw her, first held her in his arms that night.  He knew even then, that he didn't ever want to let her go!

She had looked so helpless and gentle that night, so needing.
Only this time, she was awake, alert, and killing him with those eyes!  Without knowing he'd done so, Trevor leaned forward and touched his mouth to hers.  She didn't move.  Thinking her none response meant he'd gone too far, he started to pull away, but Iris's arms locked around his neck and drew him closer, pressing her small mouth firmly to his.  She kissed him back as hungrily as he kissed her, then she relaxed on the bed, pulling Trevor down on top of her small, sexy body.  His hands skimmed along her smooth legs, then quickly slid up her hips, taking the shirt with them, all the up past her full, warm breasts.  They moaned in unisome, tasting each other in deep, passionate kisses.  Trevor's lips slid from her mouth to her neck, then her earlobe.  Hotly he whispered, "Jane, oh baby I want you so bad!  but I won't take advantage of you.  if you don't want this too, now is the time to say so!"

Now you are really getting into the story not just the sex but the real feelings of the two main characters are taking on a life of their own. The use of more and shorter paragraphs is also making the reading easier on the eyes and allowing the reader to absorb and retain more of the story. Well done and keep it coming.
