Happenstance

What's in a name-is the word science a name-or the name of a science?-or is the world just and only a place of names-known sometimes, spoken or not sometimes? Is The name of the name the name, and are any two the same? Am I always able to and do I always want to define any name.

Happenstance

Happenstance was a singer- I saw her once at the bar-beautifull face-dielectic mind-almost genious-hated clothes because she felt everyone she knew was hiding something. She didnt drink much, smoke, ate only vegetables and had a cunning wit and view of
life. She took to my discussion as I was a scientist and she seemed
to have an urgent message. When we talk she accused me of trying to
second guess her, predict her ;predict her and control like a guy she
dated who was also a scientist. Our conversation got very deep and
meaningfull-she insisted though, we only talk and meet at the bar(I
saw her suggestion as a wish to be in a controlled environment and diagnosed her as afraid of the unknown).
I watched her strip on stage. Talked of the deepest philosophical things about religion and existance-she felt that religion was treated like a science and liked talking to me."You
know I think there something bothering all these people". Dr. Bioboots
("I think an alias") the reverend (who has one leg longer than the
other by one inch) walks like a robot and discusses things as if they
have to be totally mathematically consistent-and when he comes to a
conflict like the existance of god he sounds in a changed tone like a
a fast salesman, like he"s preaching is mathematical and blind faith can be added up and proved mathematically, "anyway" whether you can see how it added up or not. Most of the congregation seems the same.and in their light discussions they never say
anything at all-best restuarant-best way to get there-which radio station
tunes in best on the drive, as the most important issues of talk-and they
all seem a little hyper-and these stated are their problems and they
solve them with contrivances.
I had a swallow of my martini-"your on stage in a couple of
minutes"
We'd been meeting like this for three weeks. I watched her dance. And then thought I'd get her into some real heavy dialogue. My first question was "do you think existance is the same with or without clothes." ? "Do you think scientists will figure out how the brain works and if so what good would it do?".
She pondered heavily over the next hour or so-was on stage twice during this time and then came up to my table... asked me a strange question - "What is the diffrence between the brain and the soul? Do lucky people have predetermined lucky brain wiring and programs that automatically make
them lucky. " ("bartender get me another beer") I was going to lunge
for her right there in the bar -but decided to carry on my appearance and
our casaul frienship. "Karry Grant Proposal" a new fellow on the
staff in Stock Holm says line 5.2.6.2a on chromosome number three has
say over the luck of a person. Has to do with skin tone and sunight
according to him and the energy of a person. He says the happiness of
the soul could probably be mathematiclly predicted before birth.
And that just a few more lucky ones have happy lives regardless of their life choices. Some are starting to call the lucky gene "number one"
Confuses me though- like winning at craps once permanently by luck.
I tell you this has gotten big in Washington-talking of cloning the
gene and tranfering it around. Trying it in space and star wars,
arab oil etc. Sounds like a fix to me and its just depressing that you can bribe nature .
I though of lunging on her again -
"Happenstance" I said "Can I walk you home tonight." She said "no,
just wanted to to be alone tonight."
I couldnt get her out of my mind. her name "Happenstance rose and fell over and over again in my sleep, ran through my mind. I Had to keep meeting
her=my life was totally encompassed with her... Got Dressed went out
again to the bar, and, was so distracted I had an accident-not serious but could have been worse. The police officer appraoched me at the site of the crash and I gave my name absent mindedly as "Happenstance". Continued dizzily on my way-met Happenstance and we talked some more. She had been quite occupied with the science I told her of and asked me
another question-"Do you believe that god or chance has anything to do with
what people are like, and their luck.?" "Do you think the entire world
is planned to each second?".. I told her right off that Kary Grant Proposal
(one of the mightiest scientists living or deceased (has his own research labs vacation facitities, banks, and self built eco= system he calles "Earth") has said to be able to verify each and every aspect of nature in terms of biochemical assets and deficits, including all the aspects of he himself, and that he has a plan for the genetic corrections and repair fixes of mankind. She got up for her strip show.and afterwards returned to the table and I said -"We've been
seing eachother for a while"," make me lucky, let me walk you home". She
replied unexpectantly, "what do you think I am? 'a genetic engineer'.?" I packed it in, left the bar. I was broken- Slept for a week and never returned there. When I awoke something was different as if a new universal melody was flowing through my veins. My soul had taken me on a new and confusing ride.
Years have passed- I still remember Happenstance sometimes. I'm now
director of, (and am told possible noble laureate winner in human physical sciences), of the National Instiute of Human Genetic Reconstitution Analysis
Sciences with a molded theory on the the random walk of bacteria and
its correlation parallel in evoloution. In the planning stages are an international electronic life monitoring system design, biological
research facility and insurance empire to fund my work.-I had been unlucky all my life.
Even Karry Grant Proposal had extented open anytime invitation and
personal greetings for a conference. I do not know or can explain how a
simple stripper at a tavern had made such a radical change in my
life -even Proposal had gotten curious and asked for a blood sample
for genetic analysis of my fate and luck components and some discussion of my new formulations in osmosis/energy echange, thought, the environment, and the fate of mankind. -what Grant Proposal calls an "Informal Reserection Congress""to conjugate AND RECONSTITUTE at his new MicroBio Analysis Division with a complete stock of the newest BACTERIAL WALL PAPERS and world bioenergy study apparatusses he designed himself.
Grant Proposal, to this day, can still not figure out a logical scientific basis for my success and discoveries.
