Golden Soul is the heroine in Lili Dauphin's latest book.

Golden Soul is the dog featured in Lili Dauphin’s latest book. Golden Soul was abandoned by his mother as a puppy. He was later rejected by a society whose superstitious nature forced him to endure unsurpassed prejudice because of his physical characteristics. Golden Soul’s appearance was not archetypal of other dogs in Clay Rouge. The forsaken dog became the focus of love and devotion of a young girl who was determined to save him against all odds. Throughout her ordeal, Tilou maintained her cheerfulness and courage as she led Golden Soul to freedom. It is a story of trust, courage, loyalty and the most beautiful friendship between a young child and a neglected dog.
