Ode: a lyric poem...of elaborate or irregular metrical form...expressive of exalted or enthusiastic emotion...originally entended to be sung.
Summer Time And the livin's . . . as the livin' is: Flowers a-blooming . . . Skeeters bite'n'; The Beauty And The Itch!
"Hush, little baby!" (???) My ass!! ( And Mammy's, too!!!)
Slap! Smack! Spray! Swat! ...them blood-suckin' bitches... ...them fever-spreadin' bitches... ...them death dealin' bitches... Dehydrate 'em!
Then lay ye'all back . . . enjoy those blooming flowers An' them jumpin' (after skeeters???) fish!
==========================================================
What? Cotton? What about cotton? High? . . . as an elephant's eye?? . . . right up to the sky??? HAH-HA-HA-HAAHH-HA. . .AHA-HAH-HAH...AHAH-HA-HA-HAAHH-HA! Naaawww...that's...that's an ode of another mode: Cotton's King, but...Corn's Queen!
I'll tell ya this much though: some of my best friends are human beings! Yep! But--now don't get me wrong-- I wouldn't want my child to marry one of 'em. . .you know how it is: Once they move into a neighborhood The value of the property goes down!
And their children would have an identity problem...I guess....
