was inspired to write this when i was into playing basketball

Spectators in the stands.
I’m concentrating on the ball in
My opponents hands, as I try to block out all the screaming fans. I steal the ball and start dribbling down the court.
Can you figure out my sport.

My opponent is working hard on his defense.
The crowd in crazy suspense.
I think to myself, “I got to make this shot”.
I jump up but my effort was blocked.

I go in for the rebound with the appropriate attack.
I’m out of breath, and my opponent is on my back.
My knees is starting to buckle, and my game is starting to slack.
So I cross him over with a left, he’s still there.
Then I spin around, now I’m on his right.
He’s no where in sight.
I get my position, I shoot the ball.
The crowd is in delight.

Three points is added to the score.
The other team is down by four.
Now they got the ball.
It’s now my turn to stick “D”,
But I get pushed to the floor.

I get back on my feet.
There’s 5 seconds left on the clock.
My team mate passes me the rock, for a moment there’s silence.
Then there’s cheers from the crowd,
and it’s oh so loud.
A slam dunk with a perfect frame
Score 35 to 21 and that’s game!
