in shadows...

Skeletal Remains

Ophidian vipers with vestigial wings roam as

serpents scowl with bone tongues

serving the darkest streams;

Offering basilisk prowlers desigious horns;

Forging for bloodstained veins;

…they claw into morrows stones.

Their talons purge upon huntresses

…decomposing carcass ribs;

Where fiendish river creatures with scales

as large as a man’s fists are seen…

From the very banks of yestereve’s sorrows

shrews continue lurking

in shadows with stolen gowns of fig leafs.

Burrowing spurs from their elongated fingers;

…digging upon flesh and bones.

Shaping tools baring vicious fangs of desire;

…alluring prowess to prey;

Skeletal remains silently hover

in soil’s forgotten sand tombs.

…and the fruit spoils alone under shaded pathways.

…he has left many clues.

This is dragon stories in the most gruesome of animalistic horror. I can picture these great dragons shredding and ripping their prey but alas can also see their fading into distinction only to be revived by the hands of the bards and poetess...well done Vic.
