Shana is thriving throw, she can walk with the aide of a specialized walker, it is an effort but she can do it, and she is doing well in school. She is small for her age, and did not start school until she was almost seven so in the fall she will be going into the first grade. She is very excited about that, because she thinks she is going to school with the big kids now.

Mychael and I adopted our youngest daughter Shana from Korea, almost seven years ago, when she came to us, she was almost a year, and weighed less than most newborns, she had been born with Cerebral Palsy, and was pretty much left to die, thankfully an Orphanage worker found the little girl before it was to late, but she was so malnourished, even when the adoption was going through they said they were not sure if our little girl would thrive or not.  They did not know the extent of the damage done.

The truth is we are all proud of Shana, all proud of how far she has come.  Doctors did not think she would walk, talk or learn, that she would always be totally dependent of others, but thankfully that is not the case.  Shana is bound and determined to be as indepedent as possible and she is.

Well I got to run, Shana needs me, so I better see what is that she is needs.
