Dear Journal~
G'day, mates! Tottie here.
I am feeling much better; about all recovered from me encounter with that nasty arachnid I wrote about in me last entry.Still in a little pain, but it's at least bearable now; feeling stronger with each passing day.
I am excited: going to Melbourne to spend Thanksgiving with me mates Timor, Gaston, Bathsheba, and Ignatz; they are school chums of mine; we go back a long way. We are going to have a barbie on the beach.
Weather warm for this time of year--and it's not even summer yet. Summer due to arrive in a month.
For Thanksgiving we are going to watch the parade on the telly, the parade from New York City. The parade from Macy's, which is this huge department store in New York. We are then going to have barbequed shrimpie and turkey, as well as a salad and pie--cherry pie. It's going to be very Yank! LOL (Very American.)
And then we're going to watch the telly again, and watch American-style football. I don't get it; it's nothing like the football played here. They have an oddly-shaped ball that they throw, and then these big, beefy brutes jump on one another trying to get on the other side of the field. It's crazy! Sometimes these bruisers get hurt doing this, then they cry for their mummies, act like big babies!
I guess then we'll eat some more, than lie around the beach like big slugs while we let our bellies flop around. :)
Well, nothing much new under the sun here other than what I've already written about. Had to take some more meds for the pain; me stump hurting again. Going to lie down; if I don't I just may end up doing a techicoloured yawn; that would be very nasty, very messy indeed (especially for the poor computer keyboard)! Take care and pip, pip cheerio! Over and out!
~Tottie. :)
