Johnny and Ronee' have come through their surgeries beautifully; both are now resting comfortably in the PICU, much to their mother's relief.

January 8, 2007, 10:37 a.m., C.S.T., Nashville, Tennessee~
Dear Journal~
Louisiana here. This won't be long; I am writing to let you know that all went extremely well with Johnny and Ronee'.
They, as you know, had surgery today. Johnny had his surgery at eight (he was in for about an hour); Ronee' had hers at nine, and they just brought her up to the PICU. They both sailed through their surgeries with flying colors.
I am sitting here in the lobby of the Intensive Care waiting area now, waiting for the nurses to give me the word, word that I will be able to see them in the PICU. I know Johnny will be hooked up to a ventilator and that Ronee' 's hands will be heavily bandaged, but at least the surgeries are now behind them; they can now concentrate on getting well.
I just called Bill; Bill went home at seven, so he could get the kids ready for school. I then took his place, and now all we can do is wait. Bill will probably come back after lunch.Poor guy was in bed when I called; he slept for at least two and a half hours.
I noticed he was up at two this morning, writing in his journal. Poor dear was a nervous wreck; but I told him not to worry; all would go well with the kids--and it did.
It was a huge answer to prayer!
Hold on; the nurse is here; she wants to probably tell me that Johnny and Ronee' are ready to have visitors (fifteen minutes max). I will write in here more later on, to let you know how things are progressing. Hopefully they will continue to do as well as they are at the current time!
Things look very good for the two of them; I am most encouraged!
~Louie. :)
P.S.: I will have to call Christ Community Assembly of God later, to let them know; they have been lifting up Johnny and Ronee' in prayer. They will be most pleased at the news; I know I am! :) God is good!! :)
~L.
