I don't know what we would do if we didn't have such a strong faith in God, or each other.
Currently, we are facing some trials that have severely hampered our way of life, but we are learning to listen to God and trust in Him, completely and fully.
There is no other way.
My wife, Karen, lost her job yesterday. She worked for five years at a daycare center as a teacher. Karen loved working with the children. Then the daycare center where she worked got a new director; the director, in kind, decided to fire the senior workers (those who have been there the longest) and hire an all-new staff.
As you can imagine, Karen is devastated. So am I, but we are going to trust in God and pray that a new job is in her future ... and the sooner, the better.
I am working, thank God, but it is going to be harder with just one income. We will have to start budgeting our finances and start pinching some pennies. We may have to end up taking the kids out of some of their activities. The kids won't like that, but we might have to take this route: anything to save some extra money.
This would be the rules until Karen finds a new job.
I am sure that with her background and spot-free record, a new job won't be long in coming. Karen has proved to be an exceptional worker: prompt, friendly, flexible, compassionate, and has a good heart for children (and other people in general).
There will probably be some anger and dissent among the children, but all we can do is be there for them and try to tell them that having to give up their activities would only be a temporary thing. We will also have to tell them to rely on God and to pray to provide for their needs during this sudden new season that's entered our lives.
Well, I am going to try to cheer Karen up some more. Know it won't be easy, but we've got to lean on God and pray like there is no tomorrow. We just have to trust, hope, and BELIEVE that a new job for Karen will be in the offing and that God will provide for our needs during this financial bind we've entered. Just keep us in your prayers, especially my wife; we would greatly appreciate them! Thank you in advance!
