An update on Medusa Jones, who continues to lead a charmed life, quite different than the life she used to have.

July 2012, Fort Worth, Texas~

Dear Journal~

God is so good to me!  I don't know what I could have possibly done to deserve all the blessings that He has given to me.  I am indeed very fortunate and thankful!

Medusa Jones here.  Hope this finds y'all doing good; I am doing quite well, just trying to keep my diabetes under control and trying to stay cool during this ungodly hot spell.  I'm also working at the bookstore downtown and enjoying my job.  I love my co-workers and employers; they are very good to me.

In addition to all that, I have a boyfriend.  Yes, you heard and read right: a BOYFRIEND!!  I met Marcus Powers at work (he was a customer) and he was attracted to me; he said I was the prettiest girl in Fort Worth.  (Blushes!)  I told him he needed new glasses.  LOL

He then saw me several times after that first encounter and as we got to know each other, I found Marcus to be kind, witty, compassionate, and very respectful of others.

Well, last month, just prior to the fireworks and Fourth of July festivites here in Fort Worth, Marcus asked me for a date.  I accepted.  Our first date was watching the fireworks over downtown, over the Trinity River.  It was magical.

So now I have a boyfriend.  At over fifty years old, and I land me a boyfriend!  I suddenly feel like I'm twenty years old again!!  Marcus makes me laugh and we enjoy being together when we aren't working.  (Marcus is a surgeon's assistant; he makes very good money.)

Last night, Marcus took me out to dinner; we went to Razoo's Cajun Cafe'.  It was delicious.  I dearly love Cajun food and they even had a Cajun band playing there, to add ambiance to the atmosphere.  It was a very enjoyable evening.  I had catfish, a garden salad, a baked potato (sans butter; it was just plain), and for dessert, low sugar lime jello and Sierra Mist to drink.  I ate so much it was a wonder I didn't burst! LOL

After Razoo's, we went to the Johnnie High Country Music Show in Arlington.  It was a high energy, fun show.  I normally don't like country music, but the cast was talented and they had some youngsters there who wowed the entire audience.  The youngest was a little boy about five years old who sang, clog danced, and played the fiddle.  He was AWESOME!

Today, Marcus and I went to church; we then went out to eat at Taco Cabana and went shopping downtown; we just got back about an hour ago and are currently sitting underneath the air conditioning at his condo.  We may go swimming later before he drives me back to my place.  It was good being off work today; it was even better hanging out with Marcus. (He was off today; he switched with another co worker because he wanted to spend time with me, "his Medusa".  Wasn't that sweet?? :) )

Well, I guess I'm gonna get out of here and see if I can find my hot pink swim suit.  Wanna look good tonight when we go swimming! :)  I will write in here again; take care and may God bless y'all as much as He's blessed me lately!  Love ya!

~Medusa.  :)
