Spending The Night.

Two girls have a sleepover. They plan on staying up all night and watch old television programs.

Summer will soon be over; school will be starting up in just a few weeks.

It makes me sad: seems like only yesterday when we were getting ready to go into fourth grade.  Now we're almost fifth graders.

Mommy said that to make me feel better, my best friend, Kayla, could spend the weekend with us.  We've had an absolute blast.  We've gone to bed as late as 11 p.m. to 12 midnight and tonight we plan on doing the same before Kayla's mom picks her up tomorrow at noon.  We've done tons of fun things: swimming in the above ground pool Daddy built in our backyard, watching the Olympics from London, England (and pretending we were champion swimmers or gymnasts), playing all my CDs over and over, singing into the family karaoke machine, and watching old shows that were on TV before our time.

Tonight, we plan on watching "Mulligan's Stew", which was a show that was on for just a few months before it got cancelled.  It's about a man who is a football coach and his family.  It looks like it will be pretty good, but the clothes they wear are pretty darn wild!  We will also be watching "The Hair Bear Bunch!" about a bunch of bears with crazy hairdos and the trouble they get into (it's a cartoon).  In addition to that, we will be watching an episode of "Little House On The Prairie".  My Mommy loved that show as a child.

I have been best friends with Kayla Montgomery since we were in kindergarten.  She and I like a lot of the same things: it's no wonder we get along so well.  I have always thought she was very pretty with her blonde, wavy hair, big, blue-green eyes, and skinny build (she looks like she could be a future gymnast!); she, in turn, thinks I am a lot of fun because I act like a boy.  I wear jeans and my brother's old t-shirts that don't fit him any more, I spit into the dirt when I play sports, and I can burp like a man. (I learned from my Daddy; he was the best burper.  If they had an Olympics competition for burping, Daddy would win the gold medal, hands down!)

We're complete opposites from one another, but we get along just great!

We may be opposite in looks, but we like a lot of the same interests: sports, watching old shows on TV, swimming, doing gymnastics (flips), drawing or writing stories, and annoying my brothers (one's older; the other two are younger).

I can't wait until our TV Festival begins; I am really looking forward to watching Little House On the Prairie and Mulligan's Stew!  (My mommy got the Mulligan's Stew DVD today at a place that sells hard to find music and TV shows; she got it for a steal: it was only $2.00!)

Well, Mommy says it's time to wash up for dinner; then we can get to our TV shows.  We're having stuffed peppers and mashed potatoes, in addition to lettuce with cucumbers and tomatoes from the garden!  YUM!! Sounds good!!  Until later, this is Chelsie Rose saying by!!
