Bill and his family show support for the First Amendment by going to their local Chick-Fil-A restaurant and enjoying a good meal, already adding to the chaos.

Weds., August 1, 2012, Nashville, Tennessee, Chick-fil-A, 8:31 p.m., D.S.T.~

Dear Journal~

Bill Sandusky here.  This won't be long, but I just wanted to write to tell you that we are all enjoying a good, reasonably priced dinner here at our local Chick-fil-A.  Today is "Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day", and the masses have come out in droves.  It is after 8:30 in the evening, and the eatery is still packed wall to wall with people: the line is curled around the building and halfway to the street; as for the drive through, cars are lined up as far as one can see.

It is going to be a very long night for the employees, yet even despite the massive crowds, everyone appears to be in a jovial mood and are more than happy to serve the hungry customers.  I have not heard one unkind word and everybody has a smile on their face (that is, if they aren't stuffing their mouths with food! LOL).

The event was spearheaded by Mike Huckabee who is a very strong Conservative Christian and who ran for president (but didn't get close to the leader).  He wants to see order restored to our country and see a return to Christian-based values and traditions.  I think that is a very good thing.

The crux of the situation is the First Amendment: our right to say and see as we wish.  That is all in good, but when we, the majority who believe in the principles upon our country was founded, see our rights being snatched away one by one, well, it's high time we get involved and say: NO MORE!! ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!  We have the right to bear arms and to do whatever we please; if people can't handle that or accept that, then they're the one with the problem.  What it all boils down to is this: FREE SPEECH.

It's also about tradional verses gay/lesbian marriage, but I'm not even going there.  People already know how I stand regarding that issue.  (Let's just say I'm not for it and leave it at that.)  People want to see traditional values restored; they are tired of having their rights picked off one at a time; our country is becoming nothing but a wasteland of sheep who are continually being blinded by false promises and half truths from the media as a whole (and our "suppsed leaders" in government)..

Anyway, we're here, and we're just sitting down now to enjoy our food.  I just hope it hasn't gotten cold: we've been in line for over forty five minutes.  I got the kids kid meals and kid drinks; Louie and I have the grilled chicken sandwich with waffle fries and sodas (me, a Sprite, Louie, a Coke Classic).  Looks mighty tasty.

I have seen a lot of friends from work and church pass through here; I have also seen a lot of the local police, fire, and emergency personnel getting a quick meal on the run or sit down for a quick sit-down meal before they're off and running again.  It's as if the entire neighborhood or city has come out.  I am sure it is like this at all the Chick-fil-A restaurants across this nation.  We, the majority, have finally made our voice heard: we are tired of the attacks against our Christian-based rights and it is way past due that we finally stood up to the media and say: "NO MORE!! ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!"

Well, I'd best get to working on my '"chikin" burger and start to eat before it turns cold.  Probably already is, but oh, well.  Who cares.  I'm hungry!  On that note, this is Bill Sandusky saying I'm outta here; God bless and take care!

~Bill.

It's not about being gay or lesbian, Karen, it's about standing up for what you believe in. Well done.

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.
