I am a very happy woman.
I have five little furry "kids" that I love with all my heart and sul. They range in age between two and six and range in weight between 2 1/2 pounds to 15 pounds.
I have five Pomeranians. They are the sweetest, cutest, smartest little dogs I have ever had the pleasure of owning.
My "kids" are named: "Chewie" (short for "Chewbacca"), "Gizmo", "Electra", "Pepperoni", and "Dudley". Three boys ("Giz", "Chewie", and Dudley"), two girls ("Electra" and "Pepperoni", called "Pepper" or "Peppi" for short). Two reddish orange, one white, one parti-colored, and one solid black.
I don't know what I would do if I didn't have my furry babies to love on. They keep me smiling the whole day through, even when I am not feeling good (I have fibromyalgia and degenrative arthritis, as well as degenerative disk disease; I am no longer able to work and get disability), and they can be counted on, sure and certain, to make me laugh.
I am a widow. Lost my husband two years ago to Alzheimer's. My kids are all grown and gone: my two daughters are raising their own families in Ohio (I live in Georgia) and my son is in the Army; he is stationed in Finland, so I don't see Clark nearly as much as I would like. He will hopefully be home for Christmas; he e-mailed me the other day and told me that he was planning on coming home on leave for a month. That will be nice!
Anyway, back to my story. My furbabies know how to utilize every trick in the book to turn on the "doggie charm" and grab my heart, each and every time. They love to dance upon their tiny cat feet, smiling as big as the moon the whole time, run around in circles and chase their tails which stand curled upon their backs (it's as funny as hell!), stand on their hind legs and beg for treats, bark on command, and know when to or not to bark. They are highly intelligent little dogs and are a lot of fun!
I know that "Chewie" is headed towards "senior citizen age", so he isn't nearly as active as he used to be. He's getting more sedentary. He would rather lie around and watch the world pass by than to get overworked doing exercises or playing.. "Chewie" has always been something of a lazy butt; it's no wonder he's getting so round in the middle. He's the fattest little dog I have ever seen! (Looks like a little sausage with legs! LOL)
For the informed, I have just put "Chewie" on a doggie diet, but it would also help his health if he would just run around instead of lying like a furry lump most of the time!
I hate to run, but four of my babies suddenly want to go outside; they act like they need to go to the potty: they are practically twisting their legs into knots and are looking piteously towards the door. LOL I will write in here again with another "pupdate" soon; until then, take care!
