Roses were always Chelsey's favorite flower; she loved how the blossoms rose above the thorns and kept their beauty in spite of it all.

Chelsey Ann Davenport experienced the debiitation of her childhood--more than that, she suffered the debiitation of her 'self'; that part of her that should have been separate from everyone else and respected in her own right. For twenty-eight years she resigned herself to what she thought was her lot in life, stuck in the middle between a violent, depraved parent and the siblings she loved. When the last of them spread her wings and flew away to another part of the world, Chelsey awoke from a traumtic fog and found her own way to a silver bird that would carry her out of harm's way.

Follow the story from its beginning when three year old Chelsey sees something that could not be and begins to doubt everything else that her eyes, and ears, and heart tells her.

The Girl Among Thorns survived, she is alive today and making every day count as she speaks out for those who have lost their voice. We hope you read Chelsey's story.
