This is one of my sisters first poems. Because, there is a Part 2 and soon a Part 3. I decided to list it as a story.

The Prodigal Son
I told you that kid acts strangely, But instead you acted dangerously!
He acts like he has something to hide...
Can't you tell? He doesn't even say hi or good-bye!
I told you that I didn't want him hangin' round, But you just looked at me and frowned!
"Why doesn't he hang with boys his own age", I said.."stead of causing us such rage?"
Now he's taken in our first-born son...
Sin prevails.. til victory is won!
He has been a bad influence on others...
What on earth are we gonna tell his brothers?
They are much too young to understand...
Why the one they look up to is taken by a policeman!
Will they follow his ways and go astray?
Only God knows! Who's to say?
Why would anyone wanna take what isn't rightfully theirs?
What is happening to our children and doesn't anybody care?
Now he's a juvenile delinquent and will no doubt be hazed...
He feels so alone in juve as he's counting down his days!
