Ceiridwen O'Malley is about to be moved to the rehab hospital, where she will undergo extensive occupational and physical therapies. Yet the nursing and medical staff cannot relax: dangerous weather is headed in their general direction.

Gloria Trainor here.

Normally, Louie Sandusky would be taking this report, but since she's indesposed at the minute, I must do it for her.  Besides, she is in no condition, medically: Louie Sandusky has a raging case of double pneumonia ... both lungs.  She's currently a patient here, in this very hospita,l where she works.

The patient that has been under her care for the last few weeks, is finally getting strong enough to be moved to the rehab facility of our esteemed hospital, but alas, not so soon:  dangerous weather, including the threat of tornadoes, is currently headed straight for our city!

Tornado and severe storm warnings are going off; you can har the calls being paged on the overhead system, keeping everyone on their guard.  We might have to end up taking some shelter, away from any windows, before too long.  We've already moved some of the more stable patients out in the hallways, on all floors, including Ceiridwen O'Malley, who is currently recovering from a car wreck.  I can tell she is nervous; the tension we are all feeling certainly isn't helping any.

The skies to the west are rapidly turning black; red lightning is flashing through the green-and-purple -tinged clouds.  The wind is picking up speedily; some of the storms are reported to be screaming east upwards to 60 or even 70 miles per hour.  We don't have much time to get patients (or staff)  where they need to be, out of harm's way ...

O, God!!  O, God!!  Very large hail is now busting out the windows on the side where the storm is quickly approaching; I only hope and pray that the docs and nurses were able to get patients into the halls ...  it sounds like we are being buffeted by a neverending barrage of bowling balls and screams are renting the air ...

And now the power just died.  SHIT!! What's gonna happen to us?? What's gonna happen to our patients, in particular, mine, who cannot exactly get out of harm's way!  O, God, help us!! JESUS!! JESUS!!!!!!!!!!

Considering that Nashville and many other areas are currently under tornado warnings, this makes these words much more believable. YIKES. Hope everyone is hunkered down and in a safe place. Well done, Karen.

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.
